SPECIAL FEATURES
Strengths:
  • Long-Range: The Tyrant, though similar in appearance to the standard Harrower, has been retrofitted to suit more long range combat than the original design. This has been achieved through a systematic replacement program of the Harrower's weapon systems. Most of the Turbo-lasers aboard have been replaced with long-range equivalents, more missiles tubes were added, and the ship even holds a few long range ion cannons. The Tyrant was designed as a weapon of war and terror, created specifically to loom over worlds with the threat of orbital bombardment. In fleeting engagements it sits back, firing it's weapons in a shocking torrent.
  • Intelligence Ship: Serving as Vrak's primary means of transportation, The Tyrant has been outfitted with everything that the Councilor of Intelligence requires for his work. Aboard the Dreadnought can be found advanced sensors systems, more powerful communication arrays, and special terminals to aid in decryption and encryption of messages. The ship was designed as a mobile headquarters, and the numerous additions to the vessel itself has made this more than clear.
Weaknesses:
  • Hyperspace Inhibitor: Due to the design of The Tyrant and it's copious amount of weaponry, certain modifications had to be made to the engines as well as the Hyperdrive. Unfortunately this meant that power-draw to these system criss-crosses. Put simply, the ship needs to power down its weapons for at least ten minutes before it is capable of jumping to hyperspace. For obvious reasons this can be incredibly dangerous in the middle of an engagement.
  • Second Generator: The Tyrant, having many additional systems and power requirements tend to suck up a lot of energy. In order to assist in this the vessel was fitted with a secondary generator in the aft of the vessel. This generator due to it's location is a major vulnerability. With a concentrated and correctly placed torpedo hit it can be disabled, rendering near half of The Tyrant's systems inoperable. The location of the Generator also renders it vulnerable to boarding parties, it's position being closer to the surface of the ships hull.
Description:
The Tyrant is the personal Star Destroyer of Sith Lord Vrak Nashar.

Outwardly this vessel looks no different than a hundred other vessels sitting within the Sith Fleet. It has the same curves, the same angles, and even the same oddly triangular bridge tower. The Harrower that became The Tyrant was however one of the first of these vessels actually to be constructed. The ship was built with the same specifications initially, it's skeletal structure and hull-plating being almost exactly the same as any other, once the vessel came further along however things quickly began to change.

The interior of the vessel was designed to be more narrow and consuming. The hallways are closer together, the corners are tighter, and everything just simply seems to be smaller. This extra space was taken for the installment of more weapons and a second generator. The crew count has also been cut and their quarters are generally in a more difficult place to reach. Everything about the interior design of the ship screams in need of more room, and this is mostly because of the Tyrants ulterior function as a mobile command base for the Sphere of Intelligence.

The vessel is equipped with a host of surveillance and communications systems.

These all filter through the ships encrypted network and eventually end up within Vrak's personal chamber and the Command Deck. Here the ship functions properly, though unlike with many other vessels the Command and Control Center is not within the bridge tower, instead that space has been converted into a massive meditation chamber and viewport. The CIC is instead located within the center of the ship itself, protected by a host of auto-turrets and several blast doors as well as Vrak's own personal guard.

The Bridge tower of the vessel, as said before, has been turned into a massive meditation chamber. It is here that Vrak spends most of his time aboard the ship. The meditaiton chamber has slanted walls, dark torch like lights, and typical Sith Architecture. A singular pad sits in the middle of it, though several pillows can be found within a nearby closet(Seraphina complained) for others to sit on. Even during fleet engagements Vrak can most often be found within this bridge tower, practicing battle meditation to aid his fleet in the engagement.

The Tyrant is hardly the perfect or most imposing ship. The vessel is slightly smaller than most Standard Star Destroyers and it has no fancy decorations or markings, yet many who run afoul of the vessel have regretted it.

This vessel serves as the Flagship of Vrak Nashar, and it perfectly reflects its commander.
