Trinn Traumsen
The Hour
Thanks to the techs at the Tepasi HoloNet Corporation, and a very questionable interpretation of galactic broadcasting regulations, the latest edition of the Traumsen Hour is being blasted to every conceivable HoloNet relay, where it is then processed and distributed to millions of hyperwave transceivers, like the one near you.
"Good evening, morning, and other definitions of time where you are. I'm Trinn Traumsen, bringing you the Traumsen Hour on THC." Miss Traumsen spoke confidently.
Her expression said 'serious but with a smile' as she looked towards the camera and read from the prompter. "In breaking news today, a bulk spice freighter has collided with a private yacht just outside of Ahto City on Manaan, in what Selkath authorities are calling an 'ecological disaster with untold consequences for sealife."
"A call for volunteers went out to aid local groups in a cleaning and recovery effort. With others wondering how a disaster like this could occur, and call for legislators to pass rigorous customs control and enforcement in a crackdown on smuggling. One expert we spoke with places the blame squarely on the Black Sun Syndicate, whose criminal enterprises have rapidly spread out of the Slice and towards Alliance space, where Manaan is one of the many bordering worlds."
Trinn took a sip from a nearby glass of water and continued. "In other news," her smile grew, "Popo the lonely Porg has finally found a partner after 10 long cycles. The pair is expected to see their first porglets together once the lengthy mating ritual is complete. We will continue to follow this wonderful story as it unfolds..."
The rest of the broadcast ranged from various issues like galactic trade policy to crime statistics, and at one point featured a 7-minute argument with a guest caller over whether the Nonsentient Creatures Transportation Act is harmful to upscale restaurants.
"I'm Trinn Traumsen, and this was the Traumsen Hour--signing off."
The broadcast cuts. Off-screen, Trinn turns away from the camera--lights and takes a drag from a deathstick. "Let's see those hacks at GNN beat this. I want a crew on the grind near Popo's nest day and night. We're not missing a shot, you hear me!?"
