The Tapani Federation is technically a subfaction of the Galactic Alliance, but it wants to be something greater. Greatness has always been something the Tapani people have needed for satisfaction, after all. The Tapani Federation is made up of a now more diverse than ever group of humans, near humans, and even races like the Herglic. Fondorians, Mrissi, Umbarans, and Arkanians are all able to be found plentifully, some of which even have noble titles themselves. Anyways, that’s not what you’re here for.
The Tapani Federation has a government in place. You can become a member of the Tapani Senate, the Grand Council, the Thirty-Fifth Circle, a part of the Sector Defense Fleet, or even a member of the Mecrosa Order. Through this, and through the coalitions of noble houses in the Grand Council, legitimate change can be made. The balance of power can shift dramatically to be on the side of one coalition rather than the Mecetti-Reena-Calipsa coalition that currently has the most influence in things.
As a member of the Federation, you can be a member of the Force-sensitive Mecrosa Order, which is intertwined in the military more than ever and keeps the assassinations, black mails, and general Dark Side business on the downlow, you can be a member of the nobility that is a human or even a Herglic that bought into the nobility when such titles were available, you can run a branch of the Herglic Trade Empire in the Federation, or you can be a Mrissi that ventured from home, a Senator, a representative to the Galactic Alliance, an ambassador to other nations. In the Federation, you are able to make a difference. As the captain of their greatest vessel, as the Keeper of the Heart of Pelagon - who guards the Force nexus very closely - as just about anything you wish.
The Federation is full of ancient societies, and is one of the oldest continuous governments in Legacy canon. There is a rich cultural history that has resulted in lightfoil duelists, a native Force organization, ancient and mysterious constructs under the seas of Pelagon, an entire extinct civilization of great capabilities to explore the ruins of, Sith ruins and mysteries to uncover… and the mystery of the Tapani Jedi Disappearance. You can explore these things, communicate to build up the lore further, discover why the Jedi disappeared, and find out the secrets of the noble families… or you can cover things up, hire assassins, attempt to secede from the Tapani Federation, or build the foundations for the Tapani Federation to become a major player in the galaxy.
The question is, what do you want to be?
