Force Nexus: having sat beneath the site of a nexus for many, many years, the very makeup of the ship has been imbued with the Force. This nexus is not very strong and the only benefit it has is for Sena, a being who is weak without the Force, is that it keeps her head clear and focused in battle.
Strengths:
- Ancient relic: the systems that run the ship come from a simpler time and are easier to maintain while still providing all necessary features.
- Heavy firepower: The ship was being designed to turn the tide in the war between the Shasoti and Sith, it was heavily fortified.
- Replicable: When they discovered the ship it was incomplete and therefore has blueprints for the entire ship in many different consoles. Recreating the ship would be an insanely expensive venture and would only be done in the event the ship was destroyed. In fact it would be so expensive that replicating it once would be the only time it would be replicated
- Straight as a sword: The Talavara is a ship that was not designed to spread its weapons wherever it pleased, turning and maneuvering the ship in general takes time to the point where ships with enough speed can easily out maneuver the Talavara if given the chance
- Ancient relic: some of the systems being old, take more time to work and can slow the Talavara in battle.
Prior to the plans for "Project Talavara" being drawn up. The Shasoti had been suffering loss after loss from the hands of the Sith. It was nearing the end of the war, though the Shasoti did not know it. One of the greatest shipwrights from among the Shasoti was chosen. A ship of great power and destruction came from him, and the plan was set in motion. Project Talavara had begun. Trying to keep it a secret, the Shasoti kept it hidden underground. It was on the cusp of completion, many tests having already been ran, most of the systems working. Suddenly the project was stopped. No records of why Project Talavara ended have been discovered to this date. Infact few records exist at all surrounding the ship.
The Talavara is meant to be a ship capable of dishing out extreme amounts of damage. But it has a drawback. Any ship wishing to avoid taking said damage will more than likely be able to do so. The speed and turning radius are very poor, due to the fact that many of the ships components consist of weaponry.
The main call to fame the Talavara has is its photon beam canon. An extremely powerful weapon able to, granted the shields are disabled or very low, decimate a ship. The problem with using this weapon is that it is located at the front of the ship and aims wherever the ship is pointed. Once the process to fire the cannon had begun, the Talavara can move in no direction other than forward. If a ship gets out of its line of sight, the shot would have to be canceled and start freash again once aim is back on sight.
Even if the ship is unable to get a hit with the cannon, it has a very heavy array of all its other weapons. One of these weapons comes in form of ships. The fighters it stores within its hangars are small and interlocking so they are able to be stored in much larger numbers per squadron. These ships (which will have a submission soon) are very low in defense, and very high in maneuvering. The fighter squadrons are almost swarm-like. This helps keep the attention off of the Talavara itself.
Being stored underneath the Force Nexus on Won Shasot the ship became a piece of the Force. It is not a strong nexus, but helps keep Sena grounded and focused when commanding her ship during battle.
