Well HK was up on his way to Cira's office, this time, however, he was unannounced, and not summoned by Lady Protector. Slightly humming to himself, his arms folded behind his back, he came up to her door, giving a nod to Cira's new secretary, he spoke
"Tell Lady Protector Baron HK is here to see her."
The secretary nodded with a raised eyebrow, he was not scheduled after all and pressed intercom
"Lady Protector, Second Lieutenant Baron 36 is here to see you, he is not scheduled, should I let him in?"

Really, with the way the Baron was always asking for an unscheduled meeting, Cira was starting to wonder if HK spent more time on Fondor than out in the field. Either way, he had a tendency to want unscheduled meetings; for the most part they were because he was asking something of her.
Now what? Came her first thought, exhaling a sigh as she patched through for the Second Lieutenant to be let in.

Well HK always asked in advance if he could have a meeting, this time it was unscheduled-unscheduled.
Anyhoo, door in front of HK opened and he entered, giving Cira a nod
"Lady Protector, I know you are busy so I will be brief, it has been exactly a year since I joined the Protectorate."
He then moved his hands from behind himself, revealing a small bouqete
"Happy anniversary."
.
.
.
"Of sorts."
HK slightly cocked his head at his own words
"Either way, thank you for taking me in."

Blinkity blinkity blink.
More blinking. She was caught off guard, but thankfully, years of perfecting her bearing allowed her the luxury to keep a rather dignified expression. Only the subtle shadow of her eyes would have given her surprise away.
A hand extended towards the flowers to accept them, "Thank you, " she said, studying the bouquet for a moment. They were rather pretty. A glance over to him and an arch of a brow came next.
"Congratulations on your anniversary Baron," she told him in kind, offering a small smile.

"Thank you, my Lady, so far you are the best boss I have had. Although, to be fair, all my other bosses tried to have me shut down in the end."

"Well if you wanted to do something else too, I could stay bit longer."
He cocked his head slightly
"I expect offering celebratory drink would be appropriate, and I would always love a dance, Lady Protector, but my calculations did not showed that you would agree to that."
He folded his hands at his waist

Might as well.

Well HK was surprised at that, he really didn't expect for Cira to agree to drink, especially during work hours, how naughty of her
"Very well."
HK nodded, moving over to the bar area to pour her something good from her bar into a glass
"I would drink with you but I left my mouth in my HRD body."
HK commented in a slight joke
"I really did not expect you to accept that drink, you always seemed to be distant. Like me in some manner, although for me it is not exactly voluntary."
He carried the glass to her desk, having a seat in front of her
"Have I told you before about my adopted son?"

She gave a faint smile at the commentary about being so distant. "I value my privacy," she admitted, taking the glass of liquor from him. Perhaps it was because Sarge had left that she was a little bit more open; perhaps because he was a droid. It was odd, but then again, this whole meeting was rather peculiar.
In some ways, HK was far more human than Cira was. In emotions and in his public expressions --- most especially, in his forthrightness.
Her attention flew to HK, however, when he made mention of a 'son'. "A son? You have a son?' she asked in mild surprise, the dark wing of her brow rising at that. How can a droid have a son?
"Do you mean like the other droid's who were created from your template?"

HK responded to bit about privacy, but then Cira asked about his son and HK shook his head
"No, I consider them my brothers as clones consider each other brothers, my son was a Spacer's child, Kir O'Raen, I met him when he was a youngling on Alzoc 3, one of the initiatives in the Jedi Order."
HK leaned back on the chair
"Small thing, he was among those I saved during Sith raid on Alzoc, we got back together on Coruscant. I trained him in the ways of lightsaber, and helped him learn the Force, adopted him along the way. He grew up to be one of the finest and most promising Jedi of his time."
HK shook his head slightly
"He became a rogue Jedi when he fell in love with a fellow Jedi, Lilly Stargazer was her name, their love forced them to break the Code, they wanted to marry, but they needed to escape. I helped them achieve them, married them when they were on the run, I kept the Jedi hunting them at bay and misdirected them. I delivered my granddaughter in secrecy."
The droid looked aside slightly
"But then another war with the Sith erupted, the previous Sith Emperor was slain on the hands of his council and vacuum in power left them in Civil War. They've been united by a rise of a new Sith Emperor. Kir died during the war, I was there to witness his fall."
HK looked to Cira
"I was the first droid to adopt an organic as his son, by Mandalorian custom I have learned when I was part of the court of Mandalore the Ultimate, and I was also the worst father a droid could have been. I delivered the news of Kir's death to my granddaughter and daughter-in-law, I have not seen them since, they are long since dead."

She took a breath. "Family is good." she said rather oddly, her thoughts elsewhere.

To watch them slowly wither until they die while I never join them again, that is why I left them, at least they had a happy life."
HK tapped his knee
"I am trying to trail their history, however, learn more about their deeds and actions, what type of people they were after I left them. There were some splits and movements across the Galaxy, part of them became spacers, part settled down on Naboo, others in Coruscant, there were few who joined a Republic mission to some planet called Dyspeth and disappeared."
