The Street rat, The Assassin, and The Angel

There must be a joke in there somewhere...

Valdra walked off his ship, an Fury Class Interceptor with his Acolyte [Member="T'zanith Zebron"] as they set off for the streets of Coruscant. Valdra was there to meet a rebellious street rat named @Nyx. She had expressed interest to the One Sith to learn the ways of the lightsaber and the One Sith themselves. Valdra had seen who she was by what little information they had and thought her perfect for a second student. It was good to have two students, provided competition and they would have each other's back or be at each other's throats; both served a purpose though.

Valdra had a lightsaber at his side, a rarity since he usually used his sith sword now, but for training a lightsaber would work much better. His boots clicked against the streets, the One Sith capital. That was still odd to say, this was probably the first time he had been here since One Sith had controlled it. Oddly enough he was a Jedi during that war, a young one, but he had fought the Sith that day. Irony was a funny thing. He walked silently to the training grounds, he felt him and T'Zanith had reached the point where they could walk in silence and it not be weird. A rat scurried towards Valdra and was met by a flame coming from Valdra's hand to burn it.

He regretted burning the rat, it only made the air stink of dead rat. Once in the training grounds he looked at his Acolyte, "Keep your eyes open for the girl." Valdra smiled at his little, cruel joke.

Nyx

Coruscant held a lot of memories for Nyx. She'd grown up here, and hated it. On the other hand, she loved it's seediness.
But those things didn't really matter at that moment; she had somewhere to be, after all.
She'd put her gang to use gathering info about lightsaber experts, and they'd come back with one name for her: [member="Darth Valdra"].
So from there she got in contact with him, and arranged to meet him at some training grounds.
And that was where she was now, walking up to the Sith and his apprentice.
"You must be Darth Valdra." She greeted as she came towards them. "Who's the other guy?"
@T'zanith Zebron

As they disembarked from the ship T'Zanith held one hand over his new lightsaber. it only had the one crystal he had fought quite hard to obtain but he was proud to own such a weapon. Walking with his master in silence gave T'zanith a welcomed moment to think and meditate a little on what he had learned from [member="Darth Valdra"] not to mention he was still trying to figure out the force echo ability he had thought up during his last training session.
The stink of burnt dead rat did not in fact help him in this and at Valdra's little joke T'zanith made the expression that clearly said 'ha ha very funny'. Telling a miraluka to have they're eyes peeled was like telling a deaf man to keep an ear out, But nonetheless he expanded his force sight out to look around and sure enough there was the girl he was told to keep an eye out for. 'Not much to look at but appearances can be deceiving' He thought before she asked who he was. "I am T'zanith Zebron, Darth Valdra's apprentice." He only said to introduce himself to [member="Nyx"] .

Valdra sneered at her greeting, saying obvious things was not his ideal way of greeting, "Aren't you perceptive. Why did you contact me, aren't there others wherever you are from who can swing a lightsaber around? I don't make it a point to train outside of the One Sith." Valdra was going to introduce his apprentice, at least he thought about it, but he best him to it. Valdra's blue eyes with a piercing green bore into the girl before him. Her kind was not foreign to him, kids pretending to play outlaws were all they were to him, but why had she contacted a Sith Lord, one who was not know for his kindness, to train her? This was why he had come, this very question made him wonder what was burning inside her. Maybe she just had a death wish, who really knows.

Nyx didn't blink at his words, used to this type of criticism from Sith. She had little interaction with them, but the few that she did usually ended up with a few insults.
She nodded in acknowledgement of his apprentice's introduction, then turned her attention back to the Sith Lord staring into her soul.
"Well, the word on the streets is that you're the person to talk to about Juyo; and I want to learn Juyo. And for the record, I'm from Coruscant, actually."
The girl crossed her arms and glared at [member="Darth Valdra"].
"And does it matter if I'm Sith? I'm Darkside, you're Darkside, doesn't that count for something? Besides, you teach me, and I owe you; surely a great and powerful Sith Lord like yourself could use a contact in the criminal world."
Hopefully her offer would interest him.
[member="T'Zanith Zebron"]

Darth Valdra laughed, a good harty laugh. "You're dark side? What do you know of the Dark Side?" Valdra neared her and looked her up and down, "Sure you have killed, but have you truly held a life in your hands and listened to the begging with no mercy watching as the light left their eyes? Ya, neither have I." Valdra had no intentions of insulting, though Sith Lords used it with a purpose, but he didn't need it. He used the Force to summon up his lightsaber and motioned for his student and her to do the same. "Look at it, but do not activate it. Both of you have handled a real blade and should understand that a skilled swordsman holds a perfectly balanced and weighted blade. A lightsaber is unbalanced and by all logic an awful weapon. This is why only people who can use the Force can wield them. An Acolyte who gets to jumpy and tries to wield one untrained will use a limb. First is first, you must use the Force to make it weighted right in your hand. It will take a lot of practice before you can do this without thinking about it, but this is the first step before you can even learn a form. Now try it without any further instructions, use your mind to solve the puzzle." Valdra let the force lift the hilt in his hand and spun it above his hand as he waited.

T'zanith listened to the girl and a part of him scoffed a little. Light side, dark side it was all semantics to him though the more Valdra taught him the more he began to see a the difference. At the motion of taking up the lightsaber T'zanith complied and used the force to move it into his hand, something he was fond of doing for some reason. Once it was in his hand he looked it over and then towards the girl before looking at Valdra and finally back to his lightsaber. 'Hmm do I use the force to cover the blade with a weight or something?' He thought as he tried that, letting the force flow into the hilt and then tried to form the blade with the force.

Nyx raised an eyebrow at the speech, and was mildly impressed with the display of power.
But now it was her turn.
She took her lightsaber out from beneath her jacket, the silver hilt flashing in the light for a moment. She twirled it in her hands as she considered the predicament.
She was used to wielding a sword, and had used a blade for over six years. It was on the shorter side, and was fairly light. The main weight in that sword was the hilt, the blade itself being fairly light.
So, if she was following what [member="Darth Valdra"] was saying, she needed to make the hilt weigh as much as the blade she was used to wielding.
So, with that in mind, she used the Force to put weight on the hilt, feeling it come to the all-familiar weight of a sword's hilt. She smiled as she twirled it in her hands, staring at the Sith Lord who was teaching her to wield a laser sword.
[member="T'zanith Zebron"]

Valdra watched them try to solve the problem in similar, but different ways. The problem to be solved was weight again. In a perfectly weighted weapon, you could place a finger on the blade just above the pommel and it would balance there forever. The problem with a lightsaber was the blade itself had no weight and all the weight was in the hilt. This was an advantage in that a skilled duelist could eventually wield a lightsaber much faster than a sword. The problem was without the weight to eel when swinging a lightsaber, people were prone to over corrections and and not swinging properly so that they would lose their weapon or injure themselves.

This part of training had to do with understanding the blade in your hand. Much like Parkour, you never start by jumping up walls or over obstacles. First you learn to land and then roll. This was crucial because and improper landing could leave you injured. So first you needed to understand the weapon, hence why students usually built their own lightsaber so they could understand it even deeper. A lightsaber was more than a weapon, it was apart of them.

Once Valdra was content he spoke again, "Good, holding the saber correctly is the most important part of any duel. Learn rules first and then master them and you can break them. Now, Juyo the way of the Vornskr. It is considered one of the most dangerous forms because it relys primarily on aggressive attacks and power. This means a Juyo combatant is striving to end a duel quickly or they will run out of energy." Valdra ignited his simple red blade and gave it a few swipes through the air. "This form requires your emotion, must choose anger and rage, but you are not limited to that. The moves you use are direct and bold and meant to have a lot of power behind them, but are not blind rage. To use the form you must have deep concentration. My apprentice has learned I do things with life and death and learn by doing rather then showing sooooo" Valdra reached into his pocket and pulled out a remote and clicked it. Nothing seemed to happen, but Valdra did use the Force to enhance his body and summoned the wind to him to sore up to a small building to watch.

Moments later the sounds of feet running could be heard including growls. Valdra had brought in his ship a large pack of Vornskr. These beasts had the ability to track people who had the Force in them. This meant now that they understood the weight of their blades they would have to fight for their lives together or die together against the very beast of the form they wanted to understand. By defending against them they would learn and understand the very moves of Juyo and thus become mosr skilled in it then if he just thought them movements.

T'zanith listened and the more he listened the more he realized it wouldn't be done with the force at all but with the body itself as a counter agent, at least he hoped that was the case. When [member="Darth Valdra"] used wind to move up on top of a building T'zaniths face grew a little pale and he looked at [member="Nyx"] and then looked around. As soon as he began hearing those growls he sighed a little. "I hate it when he does that..." He said out loud and then turned his lightsaber on and took a defensive stance.
As the Vornskr came into view of his force sight he pointed his blade towards them. "I hope you're ready for this Valdra's teaching methods are... a little unorthodox to be sure." He then said as he picked a nearby rock up with the force and threw it towards one of the beasts, scraping it's knee and only slowing it down. One beast sprinted towards them growling as menacingly as such a beast could do. T'zanith knew that if he survived Valdra's teaching methods, he could possibly become one of the strongest sith to walk the galaxy, at least that was the hope.

Well, this wasn't good.
Nyx watched as the Vornskr's came out, and activated the violet blade of her lightsaber, holding it parallel to the ground. If she could fight a krayt dragon, she could take some Vornskr.
As [member="T'zanith Zebron"] threw his rock, Nyx scowled. She wasn't great with Force abilities, and could barely throw pebbles. But luckily for her, she was good with melee.
One of the Vornskr sprinted at her, and pounced at her. She barely managed to dodge the attack, swinging her heavier lightsaber at the animal, clipping it's back leg, severing the limb and putting that particular Vornskr out of commission.
"Well, I can tell this is just going to go swimmingly."
[member="Darth Valdra"]

Another of the vornskr came charging at T'zanith who somehow had become lost in thought of his last training session. 'I wonder how is it?' He thought as one came charging at him but was then forced down into the ground with a telekinetic push of the force. 'What's going through your mind?' He wondered as he stared at the beast, he was slipping into a meditative state as he held the beast there immobilized by the force.
A second beast came charging in and slashed at his thigh, snapping him out of it as he slashed at the beasts side while using the other hand to grip the wound on his thigh. "Sithspit." He spat out as he the looked at the immobilized beast and slashed clean across it's head before looking around for the second one that had wounded him. "Not enough huh? Tough little chit." He said as a smile began to crack on his lips, he was beginning to love deadly combat thanks to his masters teachings.
