[SIZE=12pt]As with is predecessor, the Entropy Rifle, the Skonitropy has an endless supply of shots while the reactor within the weapon is loaded and functioning. The reactor utilizes a single rod of a highly unstable material which requires replacing every hour. The energy pulses created from the reactor are also unstable and disintegrate all matter they come into contact with. The energy is slightly faster traveling than most blasters, making it difficult to dodge the weapons fire. Unlike its previous incarnation, these rifles are capable of firing at a far greater rate.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]The Skonitropy gun is Ultimatum’s attempt to overcome the various faults of the Entropy rifle. As with the Entropy rifles, the Skonitropy utilizes an unstable reactor rod as the core of its energy production. The energy produced by these rods is transformed into a lethal projectile that disintegrates all forms of matter that they hit.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=12pt]As with its predecessor, the gun is incredibly heavy, to the point that most organics cannot reasonably wield it as they would a regular firearm. This does however still give the advantage of little to no recoil as the weight of the weapon counters the kick. These weapons are designed to be used like a minigun or similarly large weapon where the grip is on the top of the weapon, except by larger droids who can wield it as a normal, if heavy, rifle.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=12pt]The use and weaknesses of the rod have been largely left unchanged. Unlike the previous rifle, the Skonitropy boasts the ability to more easily reload the rods. The Entropy rifle required that a partial field strip be administered in order to reach the rod in order to switch it out, the Skonitropy guns instead have a more convenient ‘socket’ that allows a user to simply twist a portion of the reactor out so that replacement is capable of being accomplished within seconds rather than minutes. This does however mean that the rod is less protected and therefore capable of being shot somewhat more easily, though a person would still need a direct hit on the rod itself in order to detonate it.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=12pt]The most important feature of this rifle is the integration of a powerful cooling unit into the barrel of the gun. This allows the Skonitropy to fire continuously with zero percent chance of overheating, environmental factors may change this by about ten percent. Between the power required for the coolant system and the massive increase in output abilities, the reactor rods only last approximately ten minutes, compared to the Entropy’s one hour. To further compound this, the cooling unit created a sizing and bulk issue that Ultimatum had to circumvent by moving parts of the weapon around. Specifically, the reactor that powers the weapon is no longer directly attached to the gun. In most cases the reactor, a rather heavy device in and of itself, is shouldered like a backpack and connected by thin cables to the main gun. Ultimatum has also made it possible for the reactor to be integrated into droids, so that there is less likelihood of an enemy damaging or endangering the cores as well as proving that the power can also be transmitted via the Life’s Touch creation that Ultimatum made specifically for power transmission, allowing two people to work as a team to utilize the weapon. Due to the fact that the reactor is for the most part on the back of the person using it, it has become standard for another person to be ready to change the rods when necessary, though the user himself can simply drop the gun and accomplish the same procedure though this takes more time.[/SIZE]
