OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION

• Intent: To bring a species I've made that I always wanted to see interact with Star Wars into Star Wars. Additionally, I think the number of species with traditions involving the Force is limited and want to provide a peace-loving option for those wanting a chill bird.

GENERAL INFORMATION

• Name: Rixi
• Designation: [ Sentient, semi, or non-sentient. Unsure of what qualifies? Read up on sentience designation here. ]
• Origins: On the cusp of the Outer Rim and Unknown Regions
• Average Lifespan: 70 (average non-Force Sensitive), 70-100 (Force Sensitive, assuming good diet and such)
• Estimated Population: Planetary
• Description: The Rixi are a deeply spiritualist avian species akin to exotic birds of other worlds. The difference between these and other avian species is the possession of four dexterous arms resting below largely vestigial wings.

PHYSICAL INFORMATION

• Breathes: Type I exclusively, sensitive to air pollution
• Average Height of Adults: 1.4-1.6 Meters
• Average Length of Adults: N/A
• Skin color: Dependent on feather coloration; some will have dark skin to go with dark feathers, others light skin to go with light feathers.
• Hair color: Blue, yellow, red, brown.
• Distinctions: The anatomy of an adult Rixi is quite fascinating. Unlike various birds within the universe, the Rixi stay largely the same between sexes at adulthood, with the exception of females having more functional (but still vestigial) wings and smaller tailfeathers. Generally, Rixi have four arms, two vestigial wings above the arms, and various decorative plumage, including their stunning tailfeathers.
  
  Astonishingly, the main Rixi morph, as beautiful as they are, are accentuated by various other morphs depending on climate. In tropical rainforests, such as those on their homeworld, they are known simply as Rixi (the main demographic). After some colonization efforts on other worlds, they have developed another main morph, the Keerim. There are likely many more with how genetically diverse they are, but Keerim are easily identifiable by their drab coloration and striking eyes.
  
  All Rixi, as they age, tend to grow an expanding crest starting from their beak to the back of their head. The fancier the crest, the older the Rixi. These do not stop growing, but can be compared to the antlers on other fauna.
