Welcome to the Ri'essi Union!
This faction was created with the intention of forming a community where members new and old may find help creating or producing submissions, forming new projects and groups, sharing ideas and generally building a bond of unity and kinship. This mission is fueled by each and every one of us, and only together can we make this Union strive!
And no, this isn't a completely industry/corporation -oriented faction and it isn't just a servicing group - it's designed to be like any other faction, just way more open and dynamic. There are still goals for progression, still a military people can fight for and a government people can live for; they're just not a one-track organization or a single ruler. Here, the people run the organizations, the organizations don't run the people.
Rules & Requirements:
There are no requirements to join! Whether you are solo, own a company or are a member of another large faction, all are welcomed in the TRU community!
There are only a few ground rules to follow to ensure everyone has a fun, enjoyable time here.
1) Respect your fellow peers! It is okay to leave criticism but please remain civil and constructive. Such things should not be taken personally and any personal bouts will be addressed by a faction moderator.
2) Opinions written within by staff or judges are not binding! Don't feel intimidated if a Judge leaves a piece of constructive criticism. We are all here only to help one-another out.
3) Please do not spam! This is not a place to journal all of your ideas and spurts of inspiration. This causes clutter and detracts valuable attention from others' pre-factory submissions. You may use your blog to keep notes on ideas and inspirations.
That's all! Above all else, enjoy yourself and have fun!
Questions & Answers:
Q: What is the Ri'essi Union?
A: In short, it is a place where members of SWRP can commune about their ideas and creations; where new members may find help or advice on creating their submissions; where individuals unsure of who to ask can find a manufacturer for their personal technology; where members may find help with their development threads or other threads and find activities that fit the average character.
I noticed a lot of people get worked up when things get denied, or don't fully know how to create certain submissions - these are the kinds of people I hope find help here.
Q: You mentioned finding a manufacturer. Is TRU a corporation?
A: It is not a corporation, however I have made under it the Ri'essi Union Manufacturing Corporation. It is my goal and intention to help new members with their tech as well as grant members a manufacturer for their own submissions if they cannot find one. It is a company fueled by the community, for the community.
Q: Does the Ri'essi Union do anything else?
A: Absolutely! At the Ri'essi Union, Force Users can find education, volunteer teachers or sparring partners. Soldiers and mercenaries might find outsource work. Laborers may find jobs, or simply help the Ri'essi Union grow as a faction!
Q: Does it matter if my character is a Sith/Jedi?
A: At the moment, the Ri'essi Union is unbarred and nonrestrictive of its members. So long as it is not your intention to cause strife, all are welcome amongst its ranks!
Q: Did you get the idea from the Techno Union?
A: Because I had to answer this before anyone asks. No, ironically I was not inspired by the Techno Union. At first, and I believe in the future, it was supposed to be called the United Principalities of Ri'ess and be a reincarnation of the Mnenchei Dominion in a sense. That changed to a more diversity-friendly parent faction idea. The name "Ri'essi Union" kind of just stuck in the meantime, as I wanted to form both a faction centered around helping out with the Factory, but also creating a community that wasn't "We're Sith and we sew corruption" or "We're Jedi and we hunt evil" or "Waaaaagh!" or the like. I guess in a sense, it kind of is like a Techno Union, and maybe that's not such a bad thing. ^^
