The Resonant Nexus

It had been the second time young Saera had visited the mythic Crystalsong. Last time, she had come along with her mother, Circe, to find a rare metal and practice her alchemic forging skills. Now, she was here to visit a nexus that she had discovered through local legends. Her Languor CIS model was parked somewhat sloppily over a rough but level patch of crystalline stone while she awaited her associate whom she had discovered though the HoloNet. Good help was always hard to find, after all. Once they arrived, the two would descend into the Crystal Caves where at the bottom lay the crystal nexus she sought. There was plenty of Cryastium around the nexus itself, no doubt, and her forging tools were already brought into the subterranean metropolis by a moving droid. She was ready to make the blade.

(((I didn't know what character you're using for this lol)))

Seeing the x-wing land, Saera smiled. Her company had finally arrived, it seems. The coy little foxy-plant wagged about in short bursts until its occupant exited and came to greet her.
"Yes," she smiled. "Hi!..."
Turning back to grab the last of her things, Saera turned back to her guest.
"Do you know why we're here? We're gonna go into these caves and find a mystical thing called a nexus. There's lots of pretty crystals down there... I need them to make a sword." She handed the woman a small chunk of the crystal that she had just quarried days ago. "That's the stuff. It's called cryastium, and it's not a crystal at all. It's really a metal!"

stardust inspected it looking the thimg over one thing she could tell was the fact that this fox was really really hyper, smiling she nodded handing it back"i see well then lets git down there"star said as she grab her sabers"remind me again how you found my namr

Saera wasn't a particularly hyper girl - in fact, she was usually very withdrawn and shy, but the thought of practicing her craft here again to make her mommy the perfect gift excited her and filled her heart with warmth that words could not describe. Gabbing a ruck sack and slinging it carefully over her back and off of her gentle tails, Saera began heading off towards the entrance to the caves.
"I heard about you from a friend on the HoloNet. You must've got my messages because now you're here." She smiled. "Since you came here all this way, you must really like alchemy. Or traveling. I'll... make you something really special after this for all your help!"
Had the woman even known what Sith alchemy was? If she wasn't familiar, she would be brought up to speed soon enough....

They descended into the depths, a small plume of pyrokinetic fire illuminating the way. The deeper the duo descended, the more prominent crystalline structures and substances showed through the rocky walls of the cave system. Eventually they were beneath even the subterranian city itself and a grand pocket of pure crystalline had appeared. Saera used the Force to circle the plume around the room, lighting special phosphor torches around the way. Finally, it was fully illuminated as though they were in pure sunlight. The light reflected off of the iridescent crystalline walls like a giant mirror. This was the nexus.
"We're here. You might wanna grab a pick.... This stuff is too fragile to blast, and the nexus is too rare to risk damaging."
Saera walked over to the near wall, picking up a crate full of mined cryastium and bringing it over to the center of the cavern. She began shaping the pieces in a small machine, which filed and polished them down into suitable forms that the girl used to begin constructing an altar. At the back of the cavern, most of the forge had already been set up for melding and heating materials. Almost everything in this forge was natural, either carved from the dense earth or focused by the nexus, adding to the quality of the products.
"This is my new alchemy lab.... I'll be using it to turn this metal into cool stuff. This location is perfect for that kinda thing."

Saera giggled a little. They were in a delicate place, undoubtedly, but so too was it just as rigid.
"Normally, that might, but like I said before, these aren't actually crystals. It would take forever to cut them if you tried it like that. However...."
The small girl grabbed a light pickaxe and swung it full-throw into a nearby deposit, shattering it at the base and letting large chunks of the crystalized metal fall.
"...It's really weak to kinetic energy and physical impacts!"
Saera grabbed the shards and chunks that fell. She brought them over to the blast furnace in the back, carefully throwing piece after piece into its crystalline mouth where they fell into a pot. Then, with a snap of the fingers and the inclusion of a small ember stick, it grew ablaze in a fine green flame which consumed the inside pocket but let out almost no smoke.
"Have at it!" she gleefully told @[member="stardust"], eyeing towards the pick no on the floor.

Once Saera had finished chucking the final chunks into the pot inside the crystal furnace, she paced back over to the end of the cavern to pick up another light pickaxe. One of these days, she'd have to alchemically forge one of those as well, making one far better at shattering the crystalized metal with resonant frequencies generated by the alchemized head of the pick with each strike. Interesting, how new ideas and solutions always became her during complex tasks.
Taking one fell swing, Saera thrust the spiked head of the pick into the wall, nearly falling over as it sent reverberations into her hands, causing her to let go. The pick was lodged firmly inside a large deposit of sheer, pure cryastium. It was a good cut she was looking at. Grabbing the pick once more, she pulled it free from the rocky face, relieving the precious metal from its captivating earthen background.
"Don't hurt yourself!" the girl jested.
There were literal tons and tons of the stuff to be quarried. In the Force, she could feel this small Nexus in no short supply of harmony and power even with each small chunk removed. It was not only an ideal location for practicing alchemy or imbuing swords but for simple meditation as well, as it was wonderful for realigning someone and granting them focus.
