The Republic's Stance Towards the Echani...

So as many of you may be aware, the Echani has specifically asked to be allowed to tour/investigate our shipyards located in Coruscant's industrial zone so that they could make a shipyard of their own. My question is, what should our stance be towards it? Many of the Echani are former Jedi... I personally believe that it'll benefit us to have a very friendly and cooperative faction that could possibly help us battle the Mandalorians if it ever comes to that. But obviousely that's just my idea. So what are your thoughts towards the Echani?

Should we have them as friends? Or foes?

*falls down and die.*

Heroics? Heck, he ditched me in middle of the battle.. and I had to fight a Sith Lord by myself. It was pathetic... Don't be too sure about losing the election yet. XD

I'm getting the feeling that when Serifen becomes chancellor, he's gonna be declaring war on every single faction out there just for the heck of it. *goes into panic mode*

Seeing as how my successor seems to have pointlessly declared war on the Mandalorians, we might need all the friends we can get....
I did not declare war on the Mandalorians. They declared war on us, and I told them the consequences. Regardless, I am in negotiations and alliances with the Mandalorians will not be an issue.

As for you Senator Brunswick, whenever you have issues you seem to spawn hundred of Verpine. I trusted that you and Horde could deal with the problem. Unlike you I did not find pointless attacking Sith Rabble to help us in the capturing of Nickel One.

Then there is the Echani. We are currently allies, though I know certain actions they have made have troubled certain members of the Republic. We have many things that need taking care of, and I do not believe extending our resources to assist them will positively affect us as much as utilizing our resources how we do normally. I am not opposed to them examining declassified shipyards, but I will not condone the spending of resources when they really don't have much to support us with(If you look at the user base 90% of them are secondary alliances, and are either already aligned with us or would already be aligned against us).

Finally, this is a Republic. Any policy we wish to instate, edit, or remove can be put through the Galactic Senate and then be voted on by the people's representatives. My presumed incoming position, current position, or anyone else's position, do not mandate final authority on any Republic Policy.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Mandalorians are there to assist, and this information was transmitted by an Echani leader to all Republic forces that were in broadcasting range, along with the info that there is a Mandalorian splinter operation. Are we now saying the Mandalorians are our enemies?

As the Former Mandalore, I must warn, They did plan to invade my people before we made peace. and I have Sources, specifically Rach Kol-Rekali, that say that their are elements in their gov't that wish to appease the Witches of Dathomir by throwing away the Echani-Republic Alliance

The Mandalorian objectives are

1: To Kill Deathwatch people
2:To capture data on the asteroid about Republic and Sith Fleets
3:To capture the Asteroid by taking control of the Planetary defense Control Center.

1 doesn't affect us, 2 hurts us but also hurts the sith, and 3 requires them to take down a stronghold the Republic is currently guarding. The Mandalorians are on the side of the Mandalorians.

I suspect you would not have been allowed in if you picked one side, as we're kinda even right now, so it's fine. Don't stress it.
