The Power of The Void (Cloudburner)

There came at least one time in every persons life when they questioned everything about themselves...rather it was who that were...where they had come from...or even where they were going. Every young person had to walk the path of self discovery where they truly 'found themselves'...some walked the path of light...others the darkness. Others simply dismissed either side and lived life on the edge...bounty hunters, assassins, mercenaries and pirates. It seemed there was no one who ever desired to seek the truth...

But, in the galaxy they lived in today the truth seemed to be a rather fickle thing...almost like smoke. Everytime you reached out to touch it the damn thing just slipped through your fingers. But if one dedicated themselves then they would realize what it took to catch smoke.

You breath it in...inhale it through your lunges and trap it within yourself. That was the one way to catch smoke...and Winter had caught it...after so many years she no longer saw the truth...she 'felt' it. In her very soul...every fiber of her being.

And as the cloaked woman sat on a mountain top her gaze wandered over the blue skies of Utapau. Meditating...focusing...the truth would set her free. One way, or another.

In meditation, Cloudburner stood up and saw the figure. He knew it was one of the bounty hunters.

"So, You've attempted to find me. You don't know what you are doing. The Jedi you sought to kill is far beyond your reach."

He then reached for his orange lightsaber.

"Leave now. Or I will do what I must to preserve peace in this area."

Crimson blood optics would slowly begin to wander over the horizon before her as the woman remained seated and still...the silly boy accusing her making little impression as the woman took in a breath and sighed deeply...just another lost soul asleep in a world of lies...how stagnant. Winter closed her eyes and exhaled...her cloak covering most of her from the back as the jedi remained behind her.

"Do i look like i am trying to find anyone boy? Open your eyes you silly child." She quipped back coldly, slowly opening her eyes and lifting herself from the earthy floor...her bare feed settling on the stone as she became one with the earth around her...steadily looking over her shoulder and glaring at the boy as he reached for a lightsaber...merely scoffing as she turned to face him fully...her cloth around her waist slit at the sides and revealing quite a bit of leg...bright blue markings vibrantly glowing along her upper thigh as she popped a hip outward...her feminine voluptuous curves swaying back and fourth with each hip movement as she slowly strutted to the padawan.

"You and your order have no authority here...i'd suggest getting down from your high horse before you fall and hurt yourself...threatening a woman minding her own business...and you call yourself a defender of peace...seems your the only one seeking conflict." She growled, narrowing her eyes tightly at the meager little man before her.

"Anger. One of the pathways to the Dark Side. I will do what I must."

He went into form one stance. Ready to defend.

"Your anger and your lust for wealth have already destroyed what could of been a peaceful evening."

For some reason...in the back of Winters mind she felt as if she were...dealing with a preschool dropout. Was this boy for real? Winter was forced to look around the area as if making sure they were not being watched, when in fact she was looking for any possible hidden cameras. Was she being punked? Winter felt as if this were a prank cause the logical side of her brain told her that no one could ever be that ridiculously stupid. Ignoring her fighting stance and looking back at the boy before frowning...

Winter was not impressed...and certainly not amused. In fact, she was slightly bored now. Lust and greed? Did he even know what those words meant? She doubted it. Winter simply put her hands to the side and bent her elbows...her fingers stiff and straight, cocked slightly at the knuckles as if she were in a praying mantis position. Sliding her bare foot to the side as if sweeping something aside before scowling.

"You seek peace yet cause conflict...ignorance at its finest." She muttered as she quickly stomped her foot into the stone hard earth, jerking her arms upward and lifting a knee high into the air...this movement forcing the earth beneath the padawan to blast upwards in a whirl of stone shrapnel and debris. Using Earth Shaping to attack him.

He fell down onto the ground and scattered away. He stood back up and charged forward into her with his lightsaber.

"The Jedi seek knowledge and peace, not evil and despair."

He aimed for her legs and arms, attempting to cripple her.

Winter observed as the man fell back from the blast and scuttled away. Wasting little time Winter backpedaled and kept her arms within her cloak...the boys words had little meaning to her...and probably even less to him considering what he said and what he did where polar opposites. His misguided sense of right and wrong would be his undoing in the end...and as the mans lightsaber clicked to life Winters crimson eyes flared with color as she triggered the force.

Using the speed of essence she focused her gaze on the Padawans lightsaber...taking a firm stand and throwing a leg up as he went to swing, a pillar of earth would blast from the stone floor at near blinding speed and attempt to impact the padawan in the ribcage...and as Winter arched her back and tried to dodge the blade, she would feel the very tip burn through her shoulder, forcing the woman to grunt before twisting away gracefully. Balling her fist and stomping her foot into the ground once more, jerking her arms to the left and right as she summoned the earth beneath them to crumble into material similar to mulch...making it hard for the padawan to traverse the mountain top as Winter threw her hands upwards to throw more and more sharp bits of earth into his face.

As the witch spellweaver used the force to unravel a pillar in the ground, the Jedi fell into her and it seemed like the lightsaber sliced through her shoulder. He was on the edge of a sinkhole, clenching the ledge for dear life.

"Your arrogance blinds you from our way of life!"

As annoyed as Winter was with this whole situation she did not have any desire to really hurt the boy...yet alone kill him. Despite her distaste for his blindness and overwhelming amount of blind faith. Some part of her wanted him to grow up and become something...and as the boy hung off the edge and held on as if his life depended on it Winter stood atop the mountain looking down at the boy. So young...naive...and full of potential. If only he'd let go of the lies he was told and embrace the truth...the truth would set him free.

But he seemed rather content with his lies...crusading along the galaxy like some kind of mislead dog of a boyscout. It was almost sickening...it tempted the ice queen to put him down and out of his misery. However, Winter was no longer driven by wrath or anger...nor love and mercy. Frankly, what happened next would have to be decided upon a whim...

Winter jumped up and slammed both feet into the earth firmly while throwing her hands up...this would force the earthy structure around the padawan to hold him upright in a cone...confined within it with his entire body covered in solid stone while only his head and neck remained...the lightsaber he held resting off to the side. She did this...mainly to keep him at bay for now. Hopefully he would not resist.

Cloudburner would try and do something different this time. He would try and jump over, land and stab the witch. He jumped and released all his energy into the lightsaber hit he would aim for her torso.

"Don't try me!"

The Ice Queen gave a look of boredom when somehow the the padawan magically pulled himself 'over' the edge, disregarded her attempt to keep him at bay and jumped into the air as if she could not see a body flinging itself helplessly into the sky...it was so predictable it was almost sad...and as the padawan was in the air behind her Winter simply twisted on her heel to face where he would land. Crouching a bit and throwing her fist upwards, unhinging a pillar of earth to blast from the stone mountaintop 'just' as he was about to land.

Funny thing about being mid-air...it was very hard to maneuver and dodge incoming attacks. And the force of this pillar would smash into his waist, legs, and sides. Most likely causing blunt force trauma and the fracturing of minor bones. Probably making him crash to the ground in pain unless he somehow found some magical way to get himself out of an attack he could virtually not dodge...unless he learned to teleport.

He had attempted a unique tactic. He would slice through the pillar and balance on his lightsaber to land safely on ground.

"You cant defeat me. You can only hope!"
