Taking on a Padawan was a sacred tradition among Jedi. While Titi had certainly done it once before, she felt that teaching so hands on and specifically wasn't the best use of her time or abilities. However, as of late, there were a surge of Padawans losing their Masters. The role of a Jedi Knight or Master as a teacher for these up-and-coming Jedi was as invaluable as it was sacred. The bond between Master and Padawan was one of the most formative experiences for the younger of the two and a test of maturity for the older of the two. And that wasn't even diving into the the little nuances of each individual pairing.

So, she was headed to Tython. It wasn't exactly her idea of a good time, but there was a sense of duty to this trip. There were candidates for a Padawan she could take who had both lost their Masters at some point. She wanted to take them both without a question... yet she needed to know if they would be a good fit. Not to mention where they were along in their training. It would be no use for either side if they were an ill fit. As the ship landed, the Lurmen drew her fingers along her chin in thought. Many Padawans these days were dealing with the difficulties of life in the Galaxy. She could only hope that her wisdom would facilitate navigation within it.

There was a designated meeting spot where the New Jedi Order had their presence on Tython. Titi walked calmly to it, although there were mild prickles of anticipation. She'd read the information available on both of these individuals. Rhys Halcyon, a young man who was likely dealing with as much grief as the other one, a young woman named Vrahni Suncatcher. Whether or not either of them would be there this early, Titi thought it would set a good example for her to be there at the start of their meeting. Unlike some other Jedi, she wasn't the kind to be fashionably late. Sitting casually on a bench, legs crossed, she closed her eyes to clear her mind. All would be well.

By the time someone did approach, one earthen eye opened curiously. "Ah. Hello there."

"How long has it been? Two, three years?" Vrahni sighed, thinking to herself. "I'm ready for this." It had been a long time since the Padawan received direct and focused training from a Master. Ever since her previous mentor died, there hadn't been anyone willing to continue her training. There could have been a multitude of reasons, but she assumed it was because of compatibility. After all, there weren't many Jedi in the Order that were suited for her, either. Arrogance, a sense of pride, and a smidge of attachment issues was a dangerous concoction for such an inexperienced youth.

Vrahni made her way to the spot they had all agreed to meet. She was running slightly behind. Not for lack of trying, of course. Typically, being punctual was one of her strong suits. Garbed in the traditional Jedi robes, there appeared to be nothing out of the ordinary about her aside from a small scuff on one of her knees. The fabric was stained with soil, indicating a fall. And it hurt like hell. "Why today, of all times?" She was not a clumsy person, but the continuing build up of distractions was just enough to catch her off guard.

When she did finally arrive, there was someone waiting for her. Taking a moment to scan over the Lurmen, Vrahni cleared her throat before speaking. "Hello, you must be Master Rokari." She said with a grin. Once she had made her presence known, the Padawan made the final approach to introduce herself properly. "I'm Padawan Vrahni Suncatcher. It's nice to finally meet you." She spoke confidently.

There was another that was supposed to join them, but she didn't know much about them. While they waited, Vrahni took a seat beside the Jedi Master and joined her in a brief meditation.

Days had turned into weeks, and before Rhys knew it he was practically living on Tython. The air was crisp, warm and sweet. The water was clean and clear. The Force was calm, powerful yet restrained. He liked the rolling open fields and beautiful verdant woods far better than the rigid hallways of the Jedi Temple, and living in the shadow of mountains felt safer than in the shadows of high rise apartments.

Rhys spent the morning clearing his head, legs folded sitting upon a perfectly cut tree stump on the edge of New Kaleth town. Today he going to meet a new master. The word replace floated around his mind and brought a cloud of uncertainty. He didn't want to replace his master, but he knew deep down he had to. He needed guidance. A young boy could not fulfill his potential as a Jedi alone, no matter how much he wanted to prove his independence. Rhys had learned so much since becoming a Padawan, most importantly that he needed to do the responsible thing no matter what, and right now that was meeting Master Rokari.

He'd been told that another student would be joining them, a girl who'd also lost her master. It was a terribly common occurrence these days, and more than most of the Padawan's he'd spoken to in the last year or so had experienced it, or were afraid of it. That fear alone threatened to tear the order apart.

It wasn't long after Vrahni arrived that Rhys strolled up, also clad in his traditional brown robes. He'd become accustomed to wearing them more as of late. The girl looked a few years older than him, perhaps in the later stages of her training. He wondered if she could teach him a few things. After all it would take the Jedi working all together to defeat the New Sith Order.

Rhys approached and bowed to both women. "Sorry for interrupting your meditation, master. My name is Rhy Halcyon." he turned to look at the other padawan, "and that makes you Vrahni, yeah?"
