The Partisans are a volunteer militia of citizen soldiers from worlds across the Outer Rim, beholden to no single government but instead fighting for our greater Coalition. They primarily gather along hyperlanes supplying manpower for Search and Rescue patrols. Detachments also watch over critical installations and smaller units are deployed to the furthest reaches of the galaxy.

Partisan cells are not a true military force and tend to range in size anywhere from a battalion to a single fireteam. As varied in equipment, composition, and training as the many planets they hail from, some Partisans are little better than hired muscle while others are grizzled veterans or renegade commandos.
The Outer Rim is dark and full of terrors, it takes a special kind of crazy to sign up with the Partisans. It takes even more to last. Guerilla warriors are dispatched wherever there are signs of trouble, and many are claimed by Wild Space never to return.

The Partisans are a paramilitary force which functions as the Coalition's 'shock troops'. They are often sent on dangerous missions to remote star systems with little or no intel. Their weapons and equipment is as varied as their many backgrounds. Partisan guerillas are known less for their training as they are for their fanatical courage.
  • Defense Forces - Many worlds in the Territories are developed enough to train their own soldiers. These vary from globalist powers such as the Kingdom of Tellyr or Dragon Lords of Drexel, to multi-system compacts like the Alliance Remnant Army or Kathol Republic Marines.
  • All Flags Protocol - Beyond the efforts of Search and Rescue, there is no single space presence for the Coalition. Under extraordinary circumstances however, any high ranking officer or government official may declare an All Flags Crisis. Friendly ships in the area are duty bound to respond.
