OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To create a race to populate a new word I’m trying to flesh out.
  • Canon: N/A
  • Permissions: N/A
  • Links: Meer, lore inspiration
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Name: The Nix
  • Designation: Sentient
  • Origins: The Ocean Planet Meer in the Unknown Region
  • Average Lifespan: 50 galactic standard years
  • Estimated Population: Inter-Planetary approx. 1.7 quadrillion people
  • Description: Colorful fish people with bioluminescent fins and six limbs each with three webbed digits.
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Breathes: Type I (aquatic or atmospheric)
  • Average Height of Adults: 2.5-2.8 meters
  • Average Length of Adults: N/A
  • Skin color: Blue (range of light to dark), dark or light grey with silvery whites, yellow-orange and brown, red and black, purple (deep indigo with violet accents), greens and browns, and lastly, bleached white (albino). Many of these different colors can be displayed on one individual if they have vitiligo and their heritage came from different colors.
  • Hair color: N/A
  • Distinctions: Males are generally taller, wider in the shoulders, and have shorter frills on their necks whereas females have longer frills that sit atop their heads. Females tend to have more smoother scaley skin while males have rough, sharper scales. Males tend to come in more complex color schemes and combinations while females tend to be more prone to have the common blues (albeit in more lighter complexions). While they lack the cartilage that would make up a human nose, they do possess two small openings where nostrils would be. They mostly function as a scent detector without the presence of hairs or a connection to the lungs. They lack eyelids, but they can “blink.” They have pronounced, serrated teeth that feature backward-facing barbs that serve to keep prey in place when bitten. When individuals age, their frills slowly loose their bioluminescent glow, and begin to shrivel up, leaving behind the boney spines that used to line their frills. They also display a loss of their pigmentation, slowly turning into dark or light grays with silvery white accents.
  • Races: Sidnays (warm colorations), Mooraays (bland colorations), Kips (standard blue colorations and rarely purple colorations), and Verdants (the green and brown colorations).

[ Include a description of the species history here. If your species is genetically engineered or Sithspawn please describe the process through which they were created, by who, and why. Explain the various challenges encountered during their creation. Most galactic species will be quite old - include major events relevant to the species in how they evolved and developed into what they are today where appropriate. Including Chaos canon events, where they impacted the history of this species, is a plus. ]
