LFG: The Nine Lives of Denon - (Recruitment Now Full)​

With the most recent map update Denon is now independent of the Galactic Republic. Which just so happens to be where Karen's *shh* super secret base of mercenary operations is located. So I'm looking for plots today.

To note. Back in March 2015 the GR Dom'd the world during the events of the Netherworld Crisis. Facing down a One Sith blockade fleet and restoring it's world government to power. This means that Denon as a planet has survived: Rakghouls, The Omega Protectorate, The Rapture, and GR politics. Which is kind of an amazing feat for any metropolitan trade hub and fortress world. Not even Corellia lived through all that. Lulz.

So if you'd like to plot some ideas for the Sector before the OS snowball south? Hit me up here and we'll thread something out. :D

Hmmmmm, I could go for something on this or my main. (Main is an assassin with PTSD). Sounds like any of those things could leave behind some valuable relics, old tech, missing art, historical peices or any number of heir looms that someone might wanna go for..... Or a group of someone's.

Would you rather go head to head with a Chiss assassin with PTSD and inner turmoil unlike any other or vie with a charismatic spacer who has a smoking problem and a spunky astromech droid? Of your down for that of course. :)

So? Anybody got a good idea for a political plot line. I'm thinking the local government reaches out to Antar to form a military alliance. But the corvette is captured by a Pro-Isolationist party. A party secretly lead by a Dark Acolyte of Something Something Doom. (wip yo)

Typhoon Squadron is functionally the defense fleet (and part of the ruling gov't) of Virgillia, if that helps you come up with anything. :p

I really should make one. Virgillia doesn't have much lore of its own, except for a short stint in the original Rebel Alliance. o_O

This was the best article I could find about the planets in the system... I don't think any of the links in there are overly helpful.

Isolationists could also be centered on keeping their religious sect that is undermining political, financial and social stability; some of it resulting in piracy maybe? And possibly a sort of "we arm the poor to fight for us and radicalize them" sort of thing. The destabilization of welfare results in the local government making a secretive reach to for a secretive spec-ops and inteligence aliance (hence using a guy like me who is a bit.... third party). Does that make any sense? I hope so. I have been watching too many political-military thrillers... sigh.

[member="Watcher Three"] - Kay. So give me the brief on your Squadron. What's their war strength? Denon is an ecumenopolis on the scale of Coruscant. So their industrial might is beyond the comprehension of present day earthlings. Given the impending arrival of a OS taskforce I would assume they would be looking for as much Naval assistance as possible. But that depends on the size and utility of your Squad? :)

"Squadron" is a misnomer. The ships I'm currently doing the dev thread for are almost on par (size-wise, anyway) with a Victory Star Destroyer. There will be five of those. The rest of the complement is the couple of fighter squadrons each of those can launch. Might also be a freighter or two in there.

[member="Watcher Three"] - 5 x 900m ships is amazing! The SSC only fielded 9000m worth of ships during the Sacking of Coruscant Skirmish. So that much firepower would definitely be sought after by the Denon government for future firefights. Woo baby! :p
