SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Sith alchemy
  • Nagai grip
  • Cortosis veins are weaved into the blade, giving it the chance to short out a lightsaber
  • The alchemical traits aren't constant. They answer him only when he focuses, letting him fight normally unless he chooses otherwise
  • The Measured Malice - When attuned, it gives a boost to aggression, not rage, just a sharper edge to his focus
  • The Burden of Intent - When attuned, his strikes carry more intent, not more brute strength. This makes commitment feel more natural
  • The Covenant's Breath - When attuned, the rhythm of his breathing lines up with every motion, which could be useful in prolonged duels, to avoid wasting stamina
  • Strands of velmorite rest within the crossguard. This crystal helps steady the hand and clarify timing
STRENGTHS
  • Discipline driven. The sword performs best under a steady, trained hand, pushing Lysander to keep sharpening his control, and chasing mastery
  • Very durable, extremely difficult to break
  • Lightsaber resistant (phrik core + cortosis veins)
  • Reliable in harsh environments
  • The heavy pommel at the end of the grip helps balance the long blade, which may help reduce fatigue during prolonged fights
  • Aside from decoration, the ornate crossguard offers hand protection
WEAKNESSES
  • Force suppression or nullification disables the blade's alchemical effects, stripping it of all benefits
  • Difficult to repair
  • Two-handed focus may not be ideal in cramped quarters
  • Not stealth friendly
DESCRIPTION

Most nights, the sword was a fight. Lysander would come down after training, still exhausted, and force himself back to the anvil. A local blacksmith didn’t coddle him, only stepping in to correct his grip, adjust his stance, and tell him when he was heating something wrong. The rest he had to figure out through constant repetition and failure.

Every time he thought he had the shape right, the alloys would warp or cool too fast. The long, straight form took the longest; it kept trying to bow, as if resisting the idea of becoming anything refined.

The forging took weeks, not only because it was difficult, but because he refused to rush it. Night after night he returned to the forge, working until his hands ached. He shaped the ores the same way the Covenant demands its students to shape themselves, by hammering out the weaknesses and impurities, then rebuilding stronger. Somewhere in the rhythm of it all, he kept remembering home planet, the shadows of old expectations, the very patience drilled into him long before he ever touched the dark side.

The cortosis woven through is intentional, an echo of what the The Sith Covenant teaches. A weapon that could choke out a Jedi's saber doesn't need words to declare its purpose.

Lysander didn’t create it for praise, nobody told him to do it, it was a promise to himself, a rite of passage, a way to prove he would not cut corners on something that truly mattered. The longsword carries all of that in its balance, a bit of the academy’s discipline, a bit of Ukatis pride, and the stubborn patience he has always had.

And when he looks at it now, he can see every trial he survived still burning within the ore. Nothing poetic. Just honest work shaped into a weapon, one that would come to be known as the Nightstar of Desevro.
