Breaking News: Tython

While the rebuild is still underway due to the grand victories of the One Sith against the Galactic Republic, there have been growing reports of insurgence on the planet surface of Tython's moon Bogan, though the world has not seen Imperial control for countless centuries, combat still seems to be ensuing across the planets surface. Citizens are urged to stay in their homes or relocate to designated outposts for their own protection during the fighting and to come forward with any knowledge they may have, if they may think they have any knowledge of the attackers in the following sectors displayed at the bottom of your screen... We take you now to the scene of one of the attacks were your host Jeremiah Sans reports... ... ...

The devastation here is unfathomable, fire and chaos spread with every waking moment where it is believed an Agent of the Empire was targeted by the attack, though his body has not been found... though one can only suspect something grand had been released by the Galactic Republic behind these atrocities, with no regard for the sanctity of life on the surface of their own world, though, Imperial forces are rallying around me as we speak to deal with the threat. It seems that the darkest moment has come for this area, and the sun is finally going to rise for the people here... Back to you ... ... ...

...

Iziz watched the holonet footage along side a couple of others, while it was true that there had been attacks on the surface, there were a few sith who knew otherwise, the Core world Tython, home to the Jedi for thousands of years and having never fallen to the dark side, was a place where once, in ancient times, the force was practiced without limitations. The Jedi forge still lay there dormant, and there were secrets hidden in the heart of the world which should have never seen the light of day again. One of them, seemed to have woken up... This current rally against the threats which were popping up around the planet was not the first, or the second, but the fourteenth, and every attempt at dealing with the problems with a force comprised of soldiers seemed to end just as tragically as the inevitable failure of the next attempt. It was in the wake of these moments that Iziz had agreed to sign up to one of the task forces being sent into the frey... blind as they were...

Walking into a mission briefing room, there were a number of Sith there from the Assassins, as well as the One Sith, bought here specifically to aid in this particular mission, though it was not of the highest priorities, were it to get out of hand, it could loose faith for the sith. What was placed before the teams by the Imperial agent which had been sent to liason with the Sith, was something more terrifying than they would have thought. The images were not of Jedi, nor soldiers, nor secret experimental weapons, every Sith here who had been to Dromund Kaas or Korriban knew of these monsters, from their unstoppable frame, to their long, poisonous spikes which pierced back from their heads...

Terentatek.

Nigh on immune to but the strongest force powers, these hulking behemoths were a deep seeded fear of the sith, created long ago by the Je'daii, they had populated and slept under the skin of any world they had ever landed on, hibernating only to awaken when the darkness of the world rouses them from their slumber just in time to begin their rampage. Apex predators, they were able to hunt on anything in the ecosystem, but there was one thing always at the top of their diet, force users... which said a lot about how strong they could be, Apprentices like Iziz would not normally hold a candle to these creatures, though, a lightsaber was a lightsaber, and the Terentatek were not known to be particularly fast on their feet unless charging in a single direction, so Ataru users had been being recruited from the lower ranks in order to support higher ranking sith, even if it were only as fodder to thin out the ranks...

Three locations had been hit so far, splitting the teams into three forces to back up the imperial soldiers who were engaging the monsters, and thusly, saving each and every one of their pitiful lives as, yet again, even with their blaster cannons, and rifles and grenades, they would deal poultry and negligible damage to the hardened hide of the Terentatek, which could soak force lightning as if it were static electricity... Iziz took the briefing documents and began to walk around looking for a familiar face, seeing only one person here which he immediately recognized [member="Darth Ferus"] , his presence standing out like a lantern as he seemed to be picked as one of the team leaders here. Recently, Iziz had found a message which had said that Ferus had wanted to see him, though Iziz could only imagine what for, likely it was to assign him with a mentor, which, to date was still not available to the Jawa. Moving closer to the Darth, Iziz typed quickly on his Datapad until he stood before the leader of the squad headed for a Village on Bogan, the site of one of the devastating attacks... Holding up the Datapad, Iziz portrayed;

"Need Help? I travel with you? Don't trust other teams..."

A simple sentence, but one which got its point across rather aptly... Many of the sith now as they organized themselves into teams, just over a dozen to handle the three locations... though there was a great chance that this was simply the beginning of something grander, there were deeper horrors the Je'daii had created, beings which were capable of destroying cities... the people of Tythons moon should prey that they're not the ones to wake up next...

"Why are you writing?" Ferus's voice cut through the rest, but it wasn't in common. Blue eyes glazed down towards the small Jawa, and [member="Iziz Vei"] would find the talk rather familiar. For many, many years the Sith Lord had not only lived on the small rodents homeworld, but owned it. As a Templar he was placed governor of the desert planet, and he had taken it upon himself to learn how to speak any of the species that call Tatooine home.

He was dressed in his light leather armor with that red and blue cloth tied around his head. It was a signature style of his to begin with, an outfit built for the Dune Sea and excess dry heat. Here on Tython however, it really had no use save for the songsteel plates layered throughout. Red skin was visible all over, covered in scars. Despite it being a relatively new body, his love for fighting has earned him several marks all over his flesh. The most it showed was an experienced duelist, one who had survived many, many battles.

Those blue eyes remained on the Jawas form for a second. Terentatek were unusually powerful creatures, and usually he would hunt them himself. The gaze would shift from the short man to his left hand. Within it's grasp was none other than his personal weapon. The spear like blade was taller than himself, and it radiated with the dark side. Terentatek hides were resistant to the Force and lightsabers, making the physical Sith Sword optimal. With it, he could very well tear through the beasts like any other.

But as the groups around him were formed, the Lords eyes would only trail over the many, many groups. He could see those who would die on this hunt, those not strong enough by themselves, those who seemed hesitant. There was no pity for them though, that wasn't how the Sith operated. Switching back to common, the lord would answer the initial question the boy had asked.

"Can you keep up then?"

Iziz was struck by a momentary bolt of genuine surprise, taking a step back as he heard something cross his lords' lips which he would never have expected within the recesses of the Sith... It was the Jawa trade language! Iziz, having been bought up on the streets of the Mos Eisley space port, was never one to know current affairs, though it was highly likely that Ferus likely rules over the world while Iziz was still a resident. Looking up at the man, a wave of new found respect flooded into Iziz's mind, growing to somewhat idolize the man who was before him, Iziz noticed the shiny sith sword at the man's side, cocking his head slightly and inquisitively to the right in order to get both a better look, as well as observe from a better angle, Iziz could feel power radiating from the weapon, it was powerful, like staring at the accumulate power of a second Sith, though perhaps not a lord like its wielder. Iziz had over-heard Sith talking about Sith weapons like that... ones which seemed to grow in power the more power they were exposed to until they became something like their own meditation chamber mounted to the hip of the Sith whom used them. Iziz felt like he was somewhat of at a loss in this situation, though, Terentateks were strong, light sabers would be deflected by their hide unless the blows were precise...

But when it came to the Lord of the Assassins asking Iziz if he could keep up, the reaction of the Jawa was almost one of insult, before, of course, he realized exactly who was asking the question... Ferus was a renowned duelist, so it stood to reason that even Iziz's maximum speed was likely barely comparable to the Darths jogging speed, perhaps unless Iziz moved to his quadrupedal stance he could stand a chance . However, Iziz was an ambitious creature, he was beginning to think that there was an opportunity to be made here, having seen and heard of Ferus' reputation, he seemed to not be the sort of do-or-die right hand of god Sith lord of the old stories, he seemed to have a lighter side to him, a proud duelist who was always up for another challenge to improve himself, rather than the more archaic and draconian sith of legends. Thinking about his approach for a few moments, Iziz began to answer Ferus' question, but also with an interesting proposition, one which he hoped would catch the Dark Lords' intrigue, one; due to it coming from an acolyte whom was relatively new to the order, and two; because the sheer forwardness and confidence which was within Iziz, was something which was often not found in a Sith of his size and stature...

"I can keep up... but, we could make it more interesting... how about a wager... if I can't keep up, you leave me to my fate, end me, do whatever you wish with me, I'm no good to the order if I can't keep up... but... if I can... and if I impress you, I become your apprentice, not simply to be trained, but your second... all or nothing. Is that not the way of we Sith?"

Iziz had a feeling he would have to employ severe tactics in order to keep up with the darth, but as long as they did not have to run over great long distances, Iziz doubted the Darth would ever get too far ahead, to the point that Iziz would lose sight of him, but, the greater threat was the monsters themselves... Iziz would have to impress Ferus with his performance, which was undoubtedly not easily done for most, though, Iziz had a secret weapon, the diminutive nature of his race led others to underestimate his capabilities, as Jawa were often peaceful, very rarely showing any level of finesse or skill with their movement, Iziz stood in stark comparison to the rest of his race, hoping that would be enough, Iziz would have to fell at least one Terentatek on his own without aid in order to attain the renown that he was hoping for in this mission.

It seemed at this point the sortie was beginning, the other Sith were leaving for their ships in order to reach the moon of Bogan in time, each of them given a destination of one of the attacks, Iziz would allow Ferus, as their team leader to take any information about the mission, and began to walk to their designated transport ship, boarding it and strapping himself in, but only with the waist buckle as the others were often too high for himself to fit. Iziz sat in the humanoid sized chair, his legs dangling over the edges as blast-off was coming closer... Zero hour was drawing closer as the hunt was about to begin, a hunt in which many of them would not return, a hunt which would begin to concrete the foundation of the Sith rule on the Deep Core, however, it made one think, the Jed'daii performed many experiments on these moons, from Terentateks to the creations of the ferocious Leviathans and other Sith spawn... if it was the dark side of the force returning to the Deep core which was rousing these ancient horrors from the grave, it stood to reason this was only the first wave of darkness which coated the surface of the moons of Tython, if not Tython itself...

"My lord, I can't help but shake this will only be the first of the hunts to come..."

Iziz spoke with honesty, hoping that on some level, he was agreed with...

It wasn't often someone would speak so casually to Ferus as [member="Iziz Vei"] had done. Not because the Zabrak was an imposing or terrifying man, nor because of his history of violence. It was only because no one actually talked with him. Throughout most of his life as a Sith Lord, he had grown accustom to people either walking the other direction, or just brief moments of polite chatter. And yet, here was a Jawa, of all the species, that was challenging him to a bet. Something friends would do with one another.

A large grin formed over the face of the Iridonian, and he would only offer a single nod in response. It was a fair wager, either the Jawa would prove himself, or he would be left to die. Even if he was and he happened to make it out, it would prove himself strong in some way shape or form. That, or he would just die. It mattered little to the red skinned man, but the idea of having a true second was interesting enough for him to have accepted.

But he was oddly not as worried about the Sithspawn as the boy seemed to be. Sithspawn were that for a reason, and many of the One Sith's own Sithspawn were built to control the rest. The Terentateks though, those were an issue. Bread to hunt any force user, they weren't something that could be controlled except by the strongest. And simply put, there were too many to deal with. Darth Ferus would depart towards one of the many speeders to lead the groups to their location. His was empty and programmed, exactly as he himself had wanted. The Zabrak had wanted to to hunt alone, and because of his lack of flying ability was replaced by a programmed shuttle. Of course, now he wasn't alone.

Sitting down, the red man would look off to the side. Once Iziz got on, the ship would shoot off, breaking away from the center group as Ferus was to take on his own hive of the beasts to the north. The ride itself would be uneventful, but the Jawa would have his chance to ask questions on the Sith Lord if he wished. Ferus would be willing to answer only so many before he himself would get annoyed though.

[member="Darth Ferus"]

Iziz wandered onto the shuttle, watching out a window as it took off and headed for the destination, over the course of the travel, Iziz would remain respectfully quiet, using this chance to meditate on his abilities and center himself in the dark side, repeating a mantra over and over under his breath, though so quietly that none would be able to hear any more than an inaudible chatter with anything other than a mastery of hearing through the force or a degree of mentalism in order to read his thoughts on exactly what he was focusing on. The Jawa sat with his legs crossed, he had no questions that needed to be asked, he knew the creatures that he would be destroying were large, hulking monsters whom were resistant to powers in the force, though not entirely to those of the ligt saber, but, getting close would be hard, so it seemed that physical prowess was going to be what it took to bring these down, knowing full well that he would be taking risks, but, the risks were going to have to pay off, like the great hunts of old, Iziz was going to have to rise above the challenges which came his way, and not give into fear, no, he was going to be too hungry to be afraid, the instincts for survival were strong enough to turn even an Acklay into prey when the creature was hungry enough...

'There is no peace, there is only hunger; Through hunger, I Suffer; through suffering, i am tempered; Through tempering, I gain power; through power, My hunger grows; ... I will survive...' -Iziz's chant (Just in case you wanna hear it ;3)

The travel would take some time, but the plumes of smoke which rose like pillars in the distance could be seen for miles as they approached the village which had been destroyed on the moon of Bogan, the village would have likely been the home of a few thousand people, and while the location was by no means a strategic strong-hold, it was large enough to grab the attention of the war effort, namely the failed attempts having piqued the interest of the media which was being carefully tailored to include the one sith's superiority in the area, regardless of the multitude of failed attempts. The army had cordoned off the area to the public, but the death was able to be sensed from the outskirts, there had already been several attempts on the beast's life, and all of them had ended in objective failures.

As the doors opened Iziz began to exit the ship, looking to and fro, the village even from here looked like a wasteland, any building which was larger than a single story in the center of it had been toppled, people within the area around them were crying and mourning the loss of their people and their young ones, though, Iziz could begin to feel a foul and primal presence within his own mind, less in, and more like it was probing around the outsides of it, whatever it was, it wasn't friendly, and it was more than likely the strong capabilities of the sithspawn they were looking for... there was no way to approach them from a stealthed position, the creatures knew the sith were coming, they had already claimed the life of a single force sensitive, and they would more than likely charge the next if thet were within range, which put any innocent people they were around in immediate harm if the creatures were to charge. So, it would be better if they had the upper hand on that level. To those who would be able to sense the evolved terenta however, the threat was three fold, though while one of them had been separated, three of the bestial creatures lurked within the ruins of the town, three large presences in the force stood out among the death, carnage and destruction.

Once they were there, Iziz looked to his master-to-be. Opening his mouth to only ask a single question, taking his lightsaber off his back, wishing that he had a better weapon to go into combat with, but beginning to think about the greater applications of the material they were about to have an abundence of.

What's the plan?

Iziz asked genuinely curious, knowing that he had to co-incide with that of his partner, if the plan was to attack the lone (though significantly larger >.>) terentatek first, it would more than likely reduce risk, the two of them being able to gang up on it, but, such a battle could leave them weak for the two significantly smaller monsters which were huddled together. But battling the two first on their own could lead to one of them taking an injury before having to fight the larger one, which could be possibly far more life threatening. A path needed to be chosen, and though Iziz was more keen to go in one direction than the other, he looked to his master-to-be for guidance on the matter, as it would have to be his movements which Iziz followed, namely Iziz would have to help target the same creature Ferus did, or else there was a miniscule chance for survival, one that statistically, the Jawa would opt not to take...

There was a humming from the Sith Lord as the doors opened up to the city. Not once did the Zabrak show care for any of the innocents that may have been harmed. In fact, he seemed to enjoy the thought. Within his hand was as ever his spear, it radiating with a darkside presence he would only feed to empower it, and by extension himself. Lightning cackled down the length of the blade itself. Terentatek were known to have force resistant hides, but underneath they weren't. The saintly sharp tip of his blade would glow a faint purple color as he grinned ever wider.

Stepping towards the town now, there would be an answer for [member="Iziz Vei"] . "Kill them before they kill us." Ferus had never been a real planner when it came to hunting beasts. His belief, beasts were unpredictable, and as such any plan would have to be changed and adapted. So, simply go with the flow would be a better option. He would literally walk towards the largest one, smirking.

"Big one first. Then we take on the other two. You can have the smallest one all to yourself." A test, more than a plan. He could, as a blade master, take on the beasts without issue compared to other Sith Lords. The roar from the large beast would sound out as the spine covered creature turned to face Ferus. It would charge alone, it's meaty legs slamming against the ground as it began to pick up speed. Massive claws spread out, it ready to being shredding itself a rather large meal.

But this was cut short. A purple flame suddenly coated it's form, and while the Force couldn't hurt the beast, it could blind it. A howl escaped it's lips as it began to slow, unable to see where exactly it's prey was between the purple flame and the heat. But it's prey, Ferus, was close. So close that once the fire died down the beast would find the red man practically chest to chest. It was of course larger, but the Zabrak lifted up his spear with both hands, and thrust the bladed tip for the throat of the beast.

A puncturing noise could be heard, followed by a terrified roar. Lightning suddenly filled the inside of it's form, ripping through underneath it's hide as it's force resistant skin didn't let the lightning escape. This was far from enough to kill the beast though, and a massive clawed hand swiped out for the red mans chest. Quickly however, the Sith Lord was no longer where he was, having torn free his spear and lept back with a grin. The claws cut through the fabric of his jerkin, but the poison never seemed to reach his flesh.

"Come now Jawa, don't let me have all the fun by myself!"

Iziz smiled at the plan, a perk at the side of his hidden lips void from physical sight as he though of his approach, it seemed that the plan was to take on the bigger threat first, it was an apt strategy, one which would resonate well with Iziz, it would give the Jawa A chance to fight along-side his intended master and begin to show him what he was capable of. The hair over Iziz began to stand up on end, looking down at his small hands he noticed the fur pushing backwards as he was ready for a fight, much like that of a cat when they riled themselves up, on end he would look a little more feral and dangerous, it was here in this arena that he needed to show off everything he was capable of, whatever little that might have been it needed to become immediately apparent. Crouching down onto all fours, he used his connection with the force to run the power through his body, empowering himself with the unnatural speed which the force could grant on its wielders. Feeling faster, and down in his fastest stance, he would begin to run behind his master, whom, with his combined talents he was able to keep up with without too much of a struggle...

But that was when the monster ahead of them reared its hideous face.

The tusked Terentatek was massive, standing two stories tall with the muscle mass to match, it looked more than dangerous, having grown in its long hibernation, this exceptional specimen of the ancient spawn of the Je-daii was a prime matriarch of the species, a living bulldozer which as soon as it could sense the meal which Ferus would provide it, it began to charge, a couple of light wounds covered its body from the weapons of the soldiers which had attempted to take it, one of its tusks also appeared to be severed by the beam of a heat based weapon, no doubt from the master which the beast had claimed with its initial assault... But the moment Ferus reached the opponent, Iziz was shocked by the power of Ferus, Purple flame exploded across the body of the Terentatek, a power which Iziz had always believed to be strictly aligned with the light side of the force, blinding the creature for a moment.

Iziz didn't need a second word in order to act, though, rather than attack his flailing opponent from the front, he moved to its flank, hanging low as the Terentatek, whether it had sensed Iziz's own force power, or simply took a wile swing, lashed out in his direction with a powerful arm, hard enough and strong enough to shatter the frame of the Fragile Jawa as Iziz pivoted on his left hand slightly, allowing himself to roll, the hand ripping a small crater in the ground meters from where Iziz had been a moment before-hand. Lifting himself up on his hand from the ground, Iziz vaulted to his feet, the small time in which he hung airborne he whipped his Saber-staff from his side and charged at the creatures legs. Extending the blades of his staff, Iziz stood, taking a bipedal stance, running and kicking off one of the monster's tree-trunk sized legs in order to take a slash at the other behind the knee simultaniously as Ferus staggered the beast backward with a strike from his spear.

Loosing it's balance for a moment Iziz retracted the blades on his light-saber following through with his leap and ending meters to the left of the Terenta kin, running around to the front of the beast, hoping to then follow up with his master with whatever movement he decided was appropriate... Iziz in this scenario was playing a support fighter, like a beta animal in a pack, he was attempting to cripple the Terentatek in such a manner as it would create an opening for the stronger member of the two to bring it down, and he would continue to support the alpha fighter to that end.

The effect of the strike was immediately noticeable, as the Terentatek stepped backwards from Ferus' blow, the leg it intended to put its weight in buckled, causing it to collapse to one knee, letting out a terrifying roar as its tendons had been severed behind its left knee. The position it would be in would be vulnerable, though not defenseless, The Terentatek still had its arms, which, were thick enough to more than likely not be severed by a single attack from a light-saber, like a rancor they were strong, and the spikes on them were thick, magically aligned ivory which would no doubt be able to take its weight in punishment. Unhindered, the monster's more vital points were open, but it seemed like they were working towards bringing the monster down, breaking it apart strike by strike...

soon it would not be able to hold off the strike which would end it...

If nothing went horribly wrong.

And there it was, the opening. As the beast stumbled back the large grin on the Zabrak's face only grew wider. But he did not go in for a kill. The Terentatek were immune to most force powers. Poison, lightning, light, nothing of them were enough to pierce it's hide. But that was not what Ferus wanted to do. Taking the far end of the staff in both hands he channeled a powerful push in the tip,and swing it similar to a baseball bat.

The blast released outwards, visible to not only Iziz and Ferus but the beast itself. But in its position, there was little it could do to defend itself. The blast slammed into its form, sending its massive stature right to it's back. This kill would not be for himself, but instead for [member="Iziz Vei"] , a trophy and a challenge for the younger Sith.

"Go! Claim the kill without hesitation." If there was hesitation, Ferus had a different plan in store to test his resolve, and one far more deadlier.

Iziz's strategy appeared to be false as his master seemed to launch a blast in the direction of the terentatek, and while Iziz poised for the next strike, he watched his master [member="Darth Ferus"] drop the opponent with the full force of his power, Iziz could almost see the mighty beast resist the power in the force which was directed against the creature, its powerful skin unbreached as it crashed into the ground, and at that single point, Iziz knew what he had to be doing, looking to the terentatek, simultaneous with the call of his master he needed to act... As Iziz ran toward his quarry he thought of his plan of action, everything seemed to move slowly, the beast had fallen on his back, the dirt and the rock and the spikes on the back of its head were buried in the ground, which would be a hindrance when it came to moving its head, but, the terentatek was able to sense the force sensitive nature of those around it, and Iziz was not a master of force stealth to such a degree that he would be able to shield his presence from the creature, it knew what direction he was coming from, so, perhaps a degree of deception needed to be employed to go for this kill-shot. Approaching the beast, Iziz leaped over rubble, rolling out and charging toward the abomination as the plan was about to be put into action, he only hoped that his master was watching this... cos, if this played out like he intended it to, the tow of them would be chowing down on thousands of years of terentatek meat tonight...

It would be the greatest meal of the young jawa's life...

Iziz powered forward, his saber-staff retracted in his hands, but the dial for the length of the blade was set to full. The Jawa used what precious seconds he had to visualize his light saber, to control it, to feel its presence in the force and dominate it with his mind like the scriptures taught. The force was a tool to be wielded like the weapon in his hands, and this time, he needed it to wield the weapon in his hands... Reaching the foot of the greatly evolved terenta, Iziz rolled past as the creature thrashed, running to in between its knees and extending his light saber behind him, a single beam tracing down the length of the creature, cutting deeply into its body, more or less announcing the jawa's presence. Jumping as he reached the creatures' lower half, this is where his plan got dangerous, he was now in range of its arms as Iziz jumped onto its chest and began to run up its body, still running the light saber over its hide, ripping into it brutally and cutting it open as if he were using a white hot scalpel... The terentatek had, had enough of this pain, and enough of the Jawa, so it lashed out with its claws, thrashing and raking for Iziz, but, Iziz had planned this to some degree, as the first palm came down for him, iziz dove forward, slashing into the beasts' wrist and damaging enough tendons for it to rethink trying it again with the same hand, but it was the second which became the next immediate threat, beginning from its shoulder, it swept across its entire toreso in a single thrust of its arm, hoping to throw Iziz off like a gnat or other form of pest. Iziz could do nothing but jump, a force welled up within his very soul, a voice began to speak in his head, talking him through his next actions, throwing the saber down for the exposed throat of the terenta, this was to be the last of it, this was to be the end of the creature... But, Iziz had to land, and there was only one way to fall...

Down...

With a roll and a back-hand the terenta's fist smashed into Iziz who attempteed to guard, though the deafening crack could be heard as something snapped multiple times in Iziz on contact, sending the apprentice flying meters to the left from the blow, even though it was little more than a cast away gesture, a flail of desperation which managed to catch Iziz on an odd angle, not even hitting directly, but still sending his light mass crumbling to the ground, blood flowing freely from Iziz's mouth and arm as something seemed to have been done with his bone, penetrating the exterior of his arm as his ribs too seemed to be damaged, though, on inspection, it would be the Jawas arm which seemed to take the brunt of the damage... however, the beasts neck seemed to be impaled by the strike, though, a simple pin like that was not going to bring down the mighty terenta... but that's why Iziz needed to focus on the force... sacrificing his arm was not part of the play, though, now it meant he had some distance, and he was not in immediate danger as the terentatek tried to stand up. Focusing on the blade, he thought of the force he would need to generate to make the blade spin, a push, and a pull... one and the other, over, and over, creating a tunnel... The pain of his arm had been so sudden and the adrenaline pumping through the Jawas small body led him to barely noticing the pain, thus, it failed to effect his concentration for the meantime, as the saber in the beast's neck began to twitch, the switch for the second blade, with the base-most principle of trakata erected. and with a single simultanious push and pull on either end of the blade, the saber, which had impaled the beasts throat, made a single, devastating rotation.

The Terenta howled until it became little but a gurgle, as it choked to death on its own blood, thrashing like a stuck animal until it ceased, even the full length of Iziz's blade was not enough to completely decapitate the beasts neck, but it had cut through everything vital the creature had to offer there... most of its spine, all of its arteries and veins... the creature was dead... but in the distance another couple of howls could be heard... they had said that there were multiple of them... they had taken down one of the beasts, it seemed there were more... and they were getting closer.

To the sensitive in the force, there were two, each of them inn full charge in the direction of the larger one, though, each of these specimens were no larger than eight feet tall, though, still built like bulls themselves, they were much smaller, younger, adolescent terentas, which, would lead one to assume that the one which had just been felled was more like a matriarch of some kind to these other ones, which seemed to have been bred in the caves more recently, as the terentatek population had not been entirely dormant for millenia. iziz rose to his feet, groaning a little as he walked toward the corpse, un-sleeving his cloak and creating a sling for his broken arm... he was not out of this fight yet, but, his ability to use his saber staff in two hands was obliterated. He would have to only use a single end, and more like a spear or a glaive if he was lucky... drawing the thin weapon from the enemy, drenched in the terentatek's blood, he dared not lick some of the metal yet as the others fast approached... retractinfg one of the humming blades and poising and using the heat of the other to burn around his wound slightly to stem some of the bleeding, as the smell of burnt hair and flesh filled the air. And so he was ready for the others to come in full charge.

Round two Master Ferus?

Iziz spoke wit confidence and an amount of vain sarcasm and guile in his native tongue, hoping that he was living up to expectations. Though his head was beginning to feel a little light due to the wound, he was sure he would have enough fortitude to make it through this... so long as he was not hit by one o their spikes, he would probably be fine.

Ferus watched Iziz Vei's action with a large grin plastered on his face. It was a good sign when a Sith acted without hesitation, especially one so small against a beast so large. He would hang back, tempted to cross his arms over his chest if it was anything but the massive Terentatek before them. At first, it seemed like the Jawa was far more of a match for the large beast than even the Sith Lord had expected, but when the small being jumped into the air blue eyes widened at what happened next.

He watched the small being get thrown aside with a powerful swing of the dark sided beast's arm. Of course, the Jawa's saber did what it was intended to do, slamming into the exposed neck of the Terentatek. Ferus watched on between the two, assuming that the pair had actually killed one another, but it wasn't long until the Jawa himself stood once more.

And with an impressive feat of the force, he practically severed the head of the monster. The Zabrak could only nod his approval at the determination the smaller mortal had, especially when it became apparent he had broken an arm. And an even larger amount of respect was earned as Iziz seemed ready to continue, despite his injuries.

Ferus gripped his blue saber in his hand now, nodding once in a response to the initial question. "You know, you've just earned yourself a master. So don't go dying just yet, I have much I'd like to teach you." And with those words the Zabrak turned on a heel, to face the two smaller Terentateks coming at them. Both hands would go up not to grab the beasts or even do anything to them.

Instead, the Sith Lord set ablaze their intended path, lighting up a massive wall of flame. Intense heat could be felt by Iziz even at the distance it was, and the dark side beasts certainly felt it enough to stop their charge. At least for a moment or so. The purpose of this was to get the Jawa at least prepared for the next fight rather than just go right into it.

"If I die, then all that you've lost is another weakling Sith who did not deserve to remain alive a second longer... Death is a choice after all..."

'Death is a choice'

The words almost echoed out from Iziz as if something else, hidden within the area spoke out in tandem with a flicker of power in the force, subtle enough for only the most
focused master to be able to catch the tail end of its whisper as Iziz retorted keenly toward [member="Darth Ferus"] , though as the fire exploded to life between them and the following two opponents, Iziz shielded his face, looking to [member="Darth Ferus"] and seeing exactly what he was trying to achieve, he was giving him time to ready himself, something which he was thankful for, while helping another was not something which Iziz often ever found himself doing, while he was on the streets on tatooine there were times for mutual benefit that he and another teamed up in order to better achieve a common goal, this seemed to be one of these opportunities, Iziz needed a master, and Ferus seemed to have accepted him as one, but, perhaps it went a little deeper than that, perhaps ferus also needed an apprentice like Iziz, someone who was going to challenge him, someone who, eventually might even surpass him one day.

The ultimate gift.

As the Terentatek found themselves fine with the fire, they charged through the flames, their skin hot, slightly burned but barely from the intense force created flames as they each took to charging at the vastly more powerful of the two of them, hoping that the two of them together would be able to eliminate him, and gain the better meal. Though, Iziz had something to say about that, wounded though he was, he still charged, pulling on whatever strength he had to call on the power of the force, and warp it into unnatural speed, the crimson beam of his light saber blurred, lagging out behind him and out to his side as he reached one of the two Terentateks, engaging it from the flank as it charged another opponent. Turning just in time as Iziz swung the first blow with his light saber, the Terentatek flinched backwards, causing the blade to only hew off some of the poisonous spikes from its arm and back. The Terentatek was not one to go on the defensive however, though it had been surprised by the bright light and the hands of the sweating Jawa, the small creature which radiated with the energy of the force was like a bite sized meal to the much grander creature. Letting out a raw it charged swiping, pushing Iziz on the defense, choosing not to engage, Iziz used his speed to run toward a building, leading the Terentatek away from his to be master and towards something which enabled a tactical decision. Many of the buildings here were still intact, and that was exactly what Iziz was hoping for, slowing down enough so that the beast was on his tail, Iziz reached his destination...

Slowing down still Iziz lured the creature into lunging for him, such a beast of muscle and poisoned bone was not worried about the mouse before it, it wanted to feed on his power, and the power of the thing that hid within him. And in a feat much unlike what the creature inside would approve of, Iziz used tactics and guile to outwit his enemy like he had learned on the streets, jumping and running up the wall a moment, the lunging creature collided with the thick reinforced substance, as Iziz Vaulted, Igniting the bottom end of his saber staff and plunging it down into the beasts now exposed head, standing on top of it as it began to shudder, its brain matter frying instantly, being completely lobotomized. Falling backwards, Iziz rode the beast down, leaping off only at the last second and rolling, cradling his arm and wincing in the pain. He was not used to this... For a moment Iziz had tapped into himself, a smile crossed his face which was less cruel, and much more honest, relieved, untainted.

Himself.

Looking over to Ferus he began to walk over, holstering his staff on a strap on his back, he was sure Ferus would have dealt with his opponent already, though, a non-lightsaber Iziz didn't think would have a similar penetration value against these creatures. While their armoured bodies were not resistant to the plasmic beam as hot as the core of a star, an edged blade... was not the same. But once it was done, Iziz would approach.

Doesn't seem like there are any more of them around here... master. Mission accomplished?

Iziz spoke, his stomach gurgling slightly as the effects of the battle wore off, causing his face under his hood to scrunch up... he didn't like being hungry... but it seems he was.

Ferus, having not been injured unlike his rat apprentice, had a much easier time with his own darkside eating beast. His spear flipped about in his hands, and he himself burst forward, already channeling the force within himself. Side by side with [member="Iziz Vei"] the red man would only break off once he was close to his intended.

Without wanting to waste time the Lord charged right for the Terentatek, and when one of its beefy arms came out to strike him he ducked right underneath, and tore his Sith Sword around. The blade, while not as sharp as an energy blade, had weight and force behind it, and tore right through the arm with what seemed like ease. A roar escaped the beast as the stump where its arm had been was brought away from more pain.

But War wasn't done yet. The blade, after passing through the beasts arm, was brought back around from behind the Zabrak, being swung almost like a baseball bat for its chest. The blade bit in deep, tearing open a huge gash within the hull that was the beasts hide. That, while largely damaging, was not the end.

The blade, having been filled with the Force, was once more thrust into the gaping hole that was the beasts chest. It, falling to it's back now, let out a pained roar as it tried to swipe it's remaining limb for the red man. But before it's arm could come close to connecting, the force was released as lightning. Terentateks resisted the force through there hide, but not within. The lightning coursed through it's form, burning it from the inside with it's powerful energy.

Soon, nothing but a smoldering husk was left, with the red man standing a top it. With a grin he looked over to the Jawa, offering a quick nod.

"Indeed."

Iziz, cradling his arm looked up at his new dark master, thinking a little more of his victory than he had initially thought, it seemed he was fast enough after all, of all the trials he would undergo, this seemed to be one of the best, he had secured himself not just a master, but 'his' master, and a Darth at that, almost assuring that his tutelage would be some of the grandest in the one sith, learning from an assassin as powerful as Ferus would surely insure his status. But, such thoughts became fleeting as Iziz and his master would undoubtedly make their way back to the ship they came in, in an amount of silence, Iziz had no words to spare at the moment, looking around as he continued to move to ensure there were no other threats... Looking back only occasionally to see the dead monsters behind them, something told him, nagged him, that this would not be the last of the Great hunts when it came to the things they would have to fight and slay. There were other monsters within the Empire, things which the One Sith would not want to have to deal with, things that would need to be covered up, and no doubt it would come down to the assassins to have to deal with these things... the products of alchemy, sorcery, and mad science gone wild, preying upon the innocent within their territories... As, the sith were abhorrent in nature, and aberrations often followed in the footsteps of the abhorrent.

Once they would reach the craft, Iziz would seek medical attention for his arm, a medical droid there would administer pain relief and with a small beam laser cut the arm open enough to replace the bone before injecting the gap with a setting agent which would aid with the bone refusing. though it would take a few weeks to completely heal, the arm would still be able to have some usefulness in a couple of days... but, one thing had been noticed during the fight... it seemed that Iziz was more fragile in combat than he would have liked... there were creatures out there in the world which had a much greater sum of strength than a human, a lesson which his life among the dense humanoid population of Mos Eisley had not taught him. This meant that by and large, against a stronger opponent that Iziz could not even risk taking a hit against them, so, he would need weapons which allowed him to fight a stronger opponent, give him versatility, and allow him to fight much better with a single arm, as, his saber-staff was not made to be used with a one handed grip, as, unlike its brothers which bore a short pole and two long blades, the hilt of his own weapon was just shy of shoulder height, allowing him to wield it as a bo-staff or a glaive at will.

Looking to the side of the ship, there were a couple of weapons hanging around, looking at them and cocking his head, with his one hand, he began to pull them to pieces like a squirrel taking apart a wall-nut. his nimber fingers working around them and disassembling the vibro-blade and blaster rifle with a level of finesse... These next light-sabers would be different, they would be better, they would allow him to not need to get close as well as offer him something when others did. Though he would need a laser cutter and tools, but for now, he worked, he would likely finish later when they returned home, but, he could get much of the groundwork and parts he needed from these... As ferus entered the ship, Iziz would pay him attention, though, not lifting his head up from his work.

"So, What is the plan now?"

Iziz would speak aloud, knowing that not matter what, Iziz likely had to rest and recover, unless his master would have him continue training wounded, in which would be more than acceptable to Iziz. He understood more than most the importance of continuing to train, and he did not expect leniency from the sith. Though, looking back in the direction of the terentas... he thought to himself...

"We should keep them... they may be useful...poison for the assassins...and hide for clothing."

"They will be used, to the fullest. I assure you. But for now you must rest. I need you to be ready for the next mission, no matter how simple it will be." And it was going to be a simple one. But now, as the two left in their ship, groups of workers for Ferus and the Assassins already began to load up the bodies of the giant Sith eaters. He had absolutely no intention on leaving something so valuable behind when he had the power to take it.

Leaning back in his chair the red man would shut his eyes and tilt his head back. It wasn't that he was tired, but he needed to think on what exactly he could teach the Jawa with his smaller form, and what to do with the Terentatek when the bodies were taken back to the lab. All good things in time it seemed, and with a slight grin he would open his eyes.

"This has been a good day."
