The new kid

Wandering through Dagobah, Killnan was wary. He was ready for an attack. It didn't take him long to realise he was on Dagobah. He had been there once before, and remembered every detail. He saw a rustling bush and threw a knife at it; he heard a roar. Looked like he had angered the wildlife...

Ah Dagobah, a quiet place for all force users to relax and hone their skills. Felran was meditating on a large boulder near the edge of the swamp, constructing and deconstructing his saberstaff. All was peaceful until a loud roar from the wildlife erupted to the south of him. His focus quickly stopped causing his saberstaff to drop into his lap. Felran sighed "Great, what angered the wildlife this time? looks like I'm going to need to shut it up." Felran grabbed his lightsaber and climbed up the nearest tree. When he reached his destination he noticed something in the corner of his eye. A boy?

Killnan, though he didn't know, was force sensitive. [member="Felran Natri"] would probably sense it. With his natural talent, he always learned quickly. Which allowed him to fight... He grabbed a tree and began climbing before leaping off and grabbing the branch of another. He then jumped to the creature, landing on it. He stabilised himself and managed to give it a strong enough hit to the head with his foot to knock it out. Sighing in embarrasment, he started walking off.

Felran stared He is string in the force, he could be quite useful in my masters plan Felran leaped down and activated the blade at the bottom of the saberstaff, plunging it into the unconscious creature's head. Now that it isn't a problem, I think it's time to talk. Felran dawned on his robes, which covered his face, and caught up to the boy. "Excuse me young one, that was some interesting moves you used on the creature. Oh yes I saw, and I can sense there is something more to you."

[member="Killnan Omani"]

Killnan quickly turned, not knowing than anyone else was around. He started, "Something in me?" before realising that the laser blade the person was holding had easily penetrated the creatures head. "What is that blade?" he asked, curious. He was kind of annoyed. After all his practice he couldn't notice someone following him. He would pull out a knife at the faintest sign of the other person attacking.

Felran looked at his blade a shut it off "This.....is a lightsaber, the weapon of people like you and me. You are force sensitive, able to wield its power for your own." Felran smiled under the shadow of his robes, he could teach the child so much about the force if he allowed him. It did make him curious that the child did not know about a lightsaber though, there were surely enough force users out there to easily see one.

Killnan was intriuged by this 'lightsaber' and curious about force sensitivity. He asked, "So what is this special 'force sensitivity' that I have? I assume it needs to be trained?" This could possibly help Killnan in the future, so he should definately look further into it. He held back a grin and looked around. No offensive wildlife.

Felran laughed "Yes you must be trained to use it properly but when you do...." Felran put his handout infront of the dead creature, slowly raising it. The hand then turned into a fist and the creature was crushed. "I am not sure about you, but I come from a powerful family of force sensitives, every generation has had at least one force sensitive. This tradition started when my ancestor and his brothers were born, they were strong force sensitives, overpowering most obstacles."

[member="Killnan Omani"]

Killnan was amazed, but not because of this persons feat; he was amazed that he had never seen a force user before. Or, had he? "So, was that how my dad always seemed to leap really far, heal to a level and electrocute people?" he asked. As this realisation hit him, he was filled with relief. His parents must be alive. From the way this person was talking, it seemed there was much more to the force than he had seen.

Felran nodded "From what you said, yes, he was force sensitive. There are two sides of the force, the light and the dark. The light siders are too afraid to completely utilize the force. But the dark side, we're not afraid. We utilize the force's true power for our ourselves and our allies." Felran then ignited both blades of the saberstaff, partly showing his face.

[member="Killnan Omani"]

Killnan nodded. He couldn't trust this persons opinion on light and dark fully, but he did want to learn more. He says, "So, 2 questions," a grin appeared on his face, "One, can you teach me anything about, 'the force'? And two, whats the name? I'm Killnan, if you want you can call me kil or kill."

Felran chuckled "If I taught myself I think I can teach you. I am Felran, descendant of Maul." Felran loved to show off his heritage to force users, be it light or dark siders he would show of his powerful heritage. Felran grabbed his hood and pulled it off, revealing his horns and face.

Felran gestured to the ground "First we will practice channeling the force, normally I would practice with a lightsaber but you do not have one. Now, have a seat and focus."

[member="Killnan Omani"]

Killnan nodded at [member="Felran Natri"], lowering himself to the damp ground. He meditated, a skill he had learned to ignore people. He assumed he was doing the right thing. He hoped he hadn't misheard [member="Felran Natri"]'s instructions.

"Good good, now. You should be able to sense your surroundings correct? If not, focus more. Feel the force and what it does." The Zabrack grinned, this was the easiest of the training he would put the child through. Even children must learn how to harness the true potential of the force no matter what age.

[member="Killnan Omani"]

Killnan listned to [member="Felran Natri"], and did feel like he could sense him. As he focused more, he sensed all the critters and bigger wildlife. After focusing that much for about 5 seconds, though, his head hurt and he lost his focus. He said, "I felt it, but I can't maintain it." to Felran.

Felran shook his head "That is why you must practice, if you can't do this for long amounts of time you will never be master anything else in the force!" He knew it was harsh, that is what he was going for.

[member="Killnan Omani"]

Killnan decided not to focus. He just let thoughts flow in and out of his head. After a minute of this, he started to sense things again. He had pushed himself too hard before. He felt at ease now, yet was getting the same results as before. He grinned, "Got it," he muttered, opening his eyes and looking at [member="Felran Natri"]

Felran sighed "Truly? Then you can pick up that rock with the force?" He gestured to the rock right next to him, it was small but large enough to be a challenge for someone untrained. The zabrak only hoped his master didn't notice him training this child, if he did he would be in big trouble.
