The modern one...

His steps, accompanied with heavy metalic boots on the silvery surface of the floor, were decisive. Turning around the next corner Mantic entered the study chamber of the jedi temple.

Here younglings and padawans sat with backs bent over books, screens and tablets studying various aspects of the jedi order. Sometimes masters were found here as well but the dire times seldom allowed warriors like Mantic to spend as much of his own time here as he would have prefered.

He removed his hood in mid-walk and marched up to one particular bench and the student sitting behind it.
Placing a steel-gloved finger on the desk he leaned slightly forward allowing his face to come out into the light.

"I am Mantic Dorn of the jedi order. I believe that you have requested a master." he spoke. It sounded more as a statement then a question.
Never the less he fell silent and awaited some sort of reaction from padawan [member="Kassa Sahl"]

In comparison to the strict isolation of Tatooine and Mygeeto, the Jedi Temple may well have been a bustling metropolis comparable to the likes of Coruscant. Perhaps an exaggeration to most, but in Kassa's eyes - or rather, lack thereof - it was all too true. It had taken her weeks to adjust to simply having company other than herself, and now that she had residing within the Temple wasn't quite as daunting as it had seemed at first. By this time she was nearly used to awakening and having a number of other auras alight on her senses. What still maintained itself as an anomaly was the sheer amount of technology present, and the intrinsic part it played in everyone's lives, inevitably including her own.

To be around an exceeding amount of people for an extended amount of time still left her disoriented in ways the physical realm couldn't quite explain, her method of perceiving the world through the ethereal oftentimes causing an overload of her senses if she wasn't careful. The library had been sought out as a place of quiet, and it had kept that unspoken promise, granting her a reprieve from the sheer number of people that seemed to surround her day in and day out. After fumbling about for a short period of time in search of a text that was readable even with her lack of eyes she had found a book written in Miralukese and retreated to an empty table in order to read, vibrosword placed carefully next to her.

But that time of quiet hadn't lasted forever, as she had become acutely aware of another approaching her before too long. Without a word she closed the text, turning to face the man that had spoken. He does realize I can't see him, right...? Regardless, she bowed her head in respect and greeting, knowing him as a Master of the Order simply because of the presence he possessed within the Force itself. So her inquiry that was put forth had been answered, and in a short span of time no less. "Yes, Master, I have. My name is Padawan Kassa Sahl." Her voice possessed all the qualities one would expect of a teenage girl, but there was a certainty behind it that spoke of her martial past.

A Miraluke he realized and stroked his beard. He was not that knowledgable about the species or what their lack of vision really meant. But he did recall reading that they had an affinity with the force.

He cleared his throat pondering the situation.

"I have been asked to teach you padawan." he continued after the short moment of silence.

"But I only take padawans who are willing to commit to my training and obey my instructions. I do not offer an easy path yet if you accept I will promise to do whatever is in my power to guide you into the role of a true jedi knight."

Mantic raised himself from the table and observed the aspring jedi.

"Are you prepared to accept that?"

So he had been asked to teach her, rather than having come upon her more willingly. Somehow that took a fraction of the mysticism out of things, but Kassa was still very much intrigued by his offer, even if it may have originally been a request from those further up in the hierarchy. This was an opportunity that was nothing short of once in a lifetime, and it would be foolish of her not to seize it. Just as her training under the Firedancers and the countless hours spent honing her technique, this wouldn't be an easy path to walk. But already she had grown to miss pushing herself day in and day out, and to exercise her athleticism again would be a brilliant thing. To flourish in other areas besides would only be an added benefit.

Remaining carefully silent she pushed herself to her feet, returning her sheathed weapon to its proper place across her back, hilt and pommel visible over her left shoulder. Other than the clothes on her back and what sparse possessions remained in her quarters, this was all she had to her name. For a Jedi, that was fitting. In regards to his offer, it only seemed practical. "I am prepared to accept that along with whatever challenges I may happen upon, Master. I would be honored to learn under you." A formal bow at the waist was extended out of gratitude for the words spoken on his part. She had a feeling things were going to be moving at nothing short of lightspeed before too long.

Despite her rather obvious lack of physical eyes she raised her head to look at him directly, her stance relaxed yet oddly formal, hands clasped behind her back. For one so young her stance bore a strange resemblance to that of a far more refined warrior. If one was aware of her past they would find such a thing to be no less than the complete truth. "When do we begin?"

She was an interesting pupil to have for certain. Eagerness mixed with anticipation and maybe a tint of disapintment due to how direct and practical it all had seemed.

He nodded at her and waited until her formal bow and acceptance was finished.

"Then you have a new master and I a new padawan. What was in the past no longer matters in comparisson." he told her with a rather stern eye.

"Today you will rest and collect. We begin tomorrow." Mantic inclined his head before turning and leaving his newest student to her own thoughts.
