Strengths and Weaknesses:
Strengths:
The strengths of the Millennium Falcon lay not within her legend but within the hard work put into her extensively modified systems. Nearly every single inch of the ship has been modified by one owner or another since she rolled of the assembly line.
As she stands the Falcon could be considered one of the fastest ships in the galaxy, her ability to move at speeds unrivalled by many specialised craft. This is mainly due to the highly tuned engines and hyperdrive that maximise output beyond comprehendible levels. The addition of the SLAM system, which was upgraded from its former more out-of-date SLAM allows this already impressive speed to be burst forward even more when necessary.

The Falcon’s internal systems are at the least amazing, yet it is not until you look deeper that you can start to see her true potential. Her processing system is actively operated by a three droid brain system, this upgrade while seemingly pointless causes the usual delay in system ignition to be brought down into the milli-seconds. The speed, manoeuvring and general command of the vessel becomes almost instinctual due to the quick processing of this system.
Within the cockpit itself the Navi-computer was replaced with a more up-to-date system, the Kol MkIV established the Falcon as having one of the most advanced and complex Navi-computer’s on the market.
A J9a remote activation chip was also installed after being purchased from Corellian Engineering Corporation’s more recent lines, the basic function of the circuit allowing the Falcon to be controlled from a slave controller attached to the pilots arm from anywhere within a hemispherical radius.

Not content with the state of the shields which had degraded over the course of years the entire system has been replaced by a modern day Deflector system. The upgraded Quadex Power Core allowing the shields to operate even while other systems are pulling power, control of the shields was reassigned from a simple system to a completely modern assignment monitor that allowed for several different allowances on shield baring depending on other external and internal power competencies.

Corrosion and general wear and tear created the need for a heavy replacement of much of the Hull, the engineers of Rebellion One creating a lightweight but effective frame that was used to reinforce the actual main body of the Falcon. Yes it added to the weight but the Alusteel skeleton became instrumental in the heavy Duralloy plating that was to follow. Effectively the Falcon could take hits better than other ships of its class.

Finally the sensors and scanners of the Falcon were all upgraded to the modern era under the guidance of the Rebellion One engineers and a clever purchase of the J4 Sensor Systems from Corellian Engineering. Several key elements included the intricate rewiring of a sub-space radio transmitter that would be able to patch into military chatter as well as disruption projectors and most importantly the IFF scrambling randomiser. In lew of all these upgrades the Falcon was also home to a brand new QQ-4U85 tractor shroud which gave it the advantage when fighting capitol ships that relied on pulling in contraband freighters.

Weaknesses:
The Falcon isn’t all bells and whistles however and her overlaying strengths are output by an increasing list of weaknesses that only the most loving pilot could oversee. Firstly her sheer reputation is cause for alarm, even the IFF scrambler can only go so far as to hide the true identity of the Freighter once prying eyes start looking. Already several bounty hunters have invested heavily onto her trail as well as several small smuggling gangs that figured they could use the Falcon better than Kira.

Internally the Falcon has been tailored to utility rather than comfort, little room being put aside for living quarters despite an overlooked communal and recreational area, a relief pilot bunk attached to the mediocre medical ‘area’ and an old galley area near the rear of the ship that can allow the creation of the most basic of foods. It is of course like the rest of the ship and extremely temperamental, often resulting in poisonous gasses emitting from the facilities resulting in a complete interior atmosphere flush.

The actual systems of the Falcon, while a huge advantage to her speed and ability come at a severe cost. At a quick glance it is clear that the ship consumes fuel more quickly than it needs. A result of the over-tuning and constant tinkering with the engines. Where as most freighters could possibly link through several systems and beyond without a desperate need to refuel, the Falcon finds itself pausing more often in each second or third system with a need to refuel. This did create the need for a secondary fuel tank to be installed, but it is not used due to a severe error in piping that can divert the fuel gasses into contact with the Hyperdrive cooling vents.
On top of this comes the fact that while the three-tier droid brain aids with everything in the ship it also complicates itself and converses in a dialect only understood by an astromech who is directly connected and configured into the terminal mainframe.

The majority of the time onboard the Falcon and while docked for that matter is spent on small or large maintenance. The ship, mostly due to its aftermarket status is prone to fall into disrepair or fault. Every docking can require a full systematic check of vital systems to assure that they are working as intended. In particularly the Hyperdrive Tachyon Venting and the Fuel Drive Pressure Stabilizers have the tendency to erupt or dislodge on extended voyages resulting in hours of tedious work upon landing.

While it is possible to fly the YT-1300 with a single crew member, the Falcon itself is much harder. In fact it is near impossible. The amount of extra controls and concentration required within the cockpit make it almost compulsory to have a co-pilot at least during the more intensive parts of flying. This also raises upon the issue of the ships weapons. While capable of firing the underslung cockpit blaster and missile tubes from the cockpit itself the Falcon lacks a decent slave circuit to operate the ventral and dorsal turrets. It can, the engineers on Rebellion One assured that, however accuracy and angles of the turrets themselves became extremely limited due to unforeseen calibration issues. This of course can be offset by a dedicated pair of gun crew, which if onboard have no living space for long journeys.

Description:
What is there to say about the Millennium Falcon that hasn’t already been said?
The legend itself is well known, the ship that belonged to Lando Calrissian; was lost to Han Solo and then proceeded to play a vital role in the Galactic Civil War. There is no point going into the vast details that follow this ships etched history so we will concentrate on the here and now.

Kira Vaal’s life workings was all about the legend of the Millennium Falcon. She studied heavily into the stories and the tales and had with the help of Archiologist Dr. Dweeka managed to make a pretty convincing case what had happened to the ship as there had been no real record of any scrapping or destruction.

This obsession even went as far as her hunting down an eight hundred year old droid that would be capable of reading the star maps that Dr. Dweeka claimed would lead them in the rough direction of the Falcon’s location. However tragedy struck and Dr. Dweeka was murdered before he had the chance to get the maps to Kira, however he did leave her with one name.

Reom.

On the Wheel Kira came into contact with the Twi’lek business man known as Reom. A scoundrel, thief and entrepreneur he was quick to secure Kira’s assistance on a retrieval mission that he claimed was for the Falcon’s remains.
How he had got the information was reliant on a black beaten protocol droid who was apparently dated at around the era of the Galactic Civil War.
Or at least according to Reom.

Kira was gifted a spent Hyperspace Pod which she managed to decode thanks to the ancient programming in her recovered droid. It revealed a map to the jungle world of Cholganna, a place that would change Kira’s fortunes forever.

An extended expedition through the jungles found the ruins of a New Republic Era cruiser known as the Organa. The dating of the damage however only gave it 50 years since it crashed on the planet which perplexed Kira completely until it was explained by the protocol droid that they had made an error in a quick hyperspace jump and were thrown through time into the present day.

The survivors of the crash took her hostage after spending too much time around the wreck and the captain, on the verge of mental insanity declared that if Kira wanted to live she would have to aide them off the planet by fixing the only repairable ship they had. An old beaten YT-1300 that had been aboard the Organa at the time of the crash.

Kira with the help of an old droid mechanic and a cybernetic engineer managed to get the YT to a state that when the camp was attacked by First Order forces after the information on Kira’s hyperspace pod they could get what few survivors there were into space and haphazardly managed to get back to Rebellion One.

It was here on the primary station of the Underground that Kira went about the repairs for the Falcon.

The interior systems of the Falcon have been almost entirely rebuilt, the archaic maze of wires a natural headache for the young salvager and the team of mechanics aboard the space station.
Her hyperdrive was ripped out after it died completely on the jump to Rebellion One, replaced by a Calrissian .357 Hyperdrive gifted by one of the few who owned one [member="Andrasta Sitra"]. The complex re-issuing of the systems around the Hyperdrive pushed the limits of what the Hyperdrive could achieve and tests hit a standard of .360, far beyond the .5 standard of most military craft.

The weapon systems remained practically the same as the original find. They were replaced by more ‘modernized’ targeting systems and controls but still the cannons became effective only if manned by a dedicated gunner in each of the gun pits. The Gun well itself was refurbished to include a custom rotating core allowing for more movement for the guns in general.
The missile batteries remained within the front of the ship between the cargo arms. The actual tubes hidden above the front freight loading doors.
Beneath the cockpit a Ground-buzzer remote turret gave the pilot a defines against troops on the ground.

Kira made some purchases through the reconstruction in order to bring the Falcon up to date with the modern world. From Corellian Engineering a J9a Remote Command System was installed to allow simple control of the ship from outside of the cockpit, while it created a digital backlash through the engine systems that would short out the hyperdrive ignition until the necessary resets were made.
A Kol Mark IV Navicomputer was installed as well to replace the severely outdated system already in place. This installation actually turned out to be a lot easier than expected yet the same could not be said for the QQ-4U85 tractor shroud which needed several reinstalls before it started actually working with the Falcon’s systems.
