Weapon Description
The Marauder is a new item for the Reclaimer Arms & Industrial phrik product line. So far our products have been primarily defensive items and Melee weaponry with only one short ranged shotgun. Now that changes with the Marauder, a viscous bladed assault rifle that can drop your enemy at four hundred meters and go toe to toe with a Saber Jockey in melee combat.
Strengths. First thing first is of course the under barrel attachments that come with the rifle. The small gas powered chainsaw, and the bayonet. While the chainsaw is great for chewing through debris and the fleshy bodies it's not the best when it comes to plated armor, it can chew through mesh and vests just fine but a solid plate can cause the razor sharp blades to jam up. Secondly the bayonet while this is great for armored opponents in a stabbing or slashing motions we all know that it can take more than a single stab to take an opponent down. So make sure you run through your target and this blade leaves an exit wound. Other than those this is your pretty standard rifle, the 7.62 is a decently large caliber round and can do great piercing and kinetic damage to a target.
Weaknesses. It's a 7.62 so it's going to have some kick to it. When firing this rifle make sure you have a strong shoulder and grip because the Marauder can buck hard causing inaccurate fire. With the chainsaw attachment it can also be a bit cumbersome to fire and move around with, if you're looking for a more smooth operating system we highly recommend going with the bayonet variant. Lastly as unfortunate as it is to say. Please be careful with this weapon, it has a chainsaw or a bayonet attached to it. So please do not cut off your hand or stab yourself accidentally, it can be a bit of an adjustment firing a weapon like this so be sure that you ease into it.
Summary. If you're looking for a pretty killer Phrik plated assault weapon that you can get up close and personal with a lightsaber with, without it being cut in half, this weapon is for you. It's easy to use and efficient on the battlefield.
