After her desperate struggles over Bestine IV, Flight Lieutenant Poy Luroon was being sent back to the planet, on the orders of her Commanding Officer, to perform reconnaissance flights over the next two days to try and take photographs of a prototype ship that was being developed under the highest secrecy. It was just starting to turn in to morning when Poy wandered down into the hangar, and looked at her T-65XJ X-Wing. They had been through some tough spots in the past, and she knew that they would come through this encounter too.

"Good luck Flight Lieutenant." said her Commanding Officer, shaking her hand and wishing her the best. She climbed into the cockpit and strapped herself into the seat. For this mission, they had fitted a reconnaissance package - that is, four high speed camera pointing downwards. The data received would be sent back to the battle carrier, and interpreted by the Intelligence Officers. R2-Q2 was already in position behind the cockpit - this was his first reconnaissance mission with the Alliance and he beeped that he was excited about it.

They had also outfitted the T-65XJ with deflector shields just for this purpose, so she would show up as being invisible to the enemy's radar, allowing the Twi'lek to fly unhindered over the shipyards. "Don't get too excited Ar-Que. We'll have to go down really low to get some good shots of this ship that they are building on Bestine IV. I just have to hope we don't attract any unwanted attention from fighters," it would become one of the most dangerous sorties of her Navy career. Taking a deep breath, the cockpit locked into place and she started up.

Poy took the X-Wing to the end of the catapult corridor and heard the arresting gear crews locking her craft into place. The Catapult Officer saluted her and signalled that she was ready for take-off. Ramping the twin engines up to full power, the catapult shot her down the corridor and out into space. She input the direction into her computer and had a precise ETA of when she should be arriving over the yard and at what height.

TI-1027 sprang out of his bed from the sudden loud sound of his cabin door opening. Entering was TI's superior officer accompanied by two normal Storm Troopers armed to the teeth with various weapons. The Superior officer looked like the typical officer all bark and no bite and simply following every blind order given to him. However TI was no better as he was being informed for a new assignment to observe and protect the new prototype ship as it takes it's daily test flight. Being one of the best pilots in the Empire he seemed to be the most qualified to carry out this seemingly simple assignment.

TI gave a slight nod and a yawn accompanied by a tired "Sir yes sir..." and a salute before his superior gave a simple nod and left his Cabin the two Storm Troopers following behind. He proceeded to groggily get out of the bed popping his neck and fingers before making his way to storage container to retrieve his clothes. A few minutes later the Pilot left his room in a slight hurry as the intercom began shouting for all pilots to get into their Tie Fighters. TI proceeded to bump into fellow Storm Troopers all giving off angry scoffs as the Imperial pilot continued to pick up his pace before finally reaching the hanger filled with various Troopers walking around and various Pilots seemingly readying up and hopping into their Fighters.

TI-1027 was met with various scoffs and playful insults "What took ya so long?" followed by another pilot motioning a suggestive hand movement. "Oh shut it, as your Squadron leader i could send you to repairing the fighters instead of flying them!" he said chuckling slightly before putting on his helmet and proceeding to enter his Tie Fighter Interceptor. Switching and pushing multiple buttons causing the lights in his fighter to flash on indicating it was ready to take off. The sound of the fighter starting up was followed by the sounds of various other fighters ready to escort the prototype. "The Ship is ready to fly, You may leave when ready." the sound through TI's helmet told him before TI responding with an Affirmative...You guys heard him lets move it out!" he said before taking off after the Prototype ship before he also was followed by 3 other Tie Fighters.

Poy entered Bestine IV's atmosphere and her computer went off the charts. The Empire had started trials much earlier than planned. "Frotz!!!" the Twi'lek exclaimed loudly as she engaged the deflector shields and climbed up above the ship and began taking photographs. "Illustrious, you might not want to hear this, but they have started trials of the prototype as of now!" there was silence on the other end of the comlink; it would lead to some rather red faces at Galactic Alliance naval headquarters. They were not supposed to start trials until tomorrow morning - she tried to think of why they might have brought forward the trials, but could not come up with any resonable explanation for the early test.

"Just do the best you can Luroon. I am counting on you to do the best job you possibly can," her Commanding Officer replied, wishing her the best of luck in the circumstances. The Twi'lek heard the clicking of the cameras as she flew high above the prototype and its escorts, naked to the human eye thanks to the installed shields. The photographs were stored on a databank inside the reconnaissance package and she got a good look at the vessel - it was bigger than anything she had ever seen and it was bristling with weapons; more than enough to wipe out a GA fleet to the last vessel and last Galactic Marine. Hopefully these photographs would allow the Galactic Alliance to work out a battle plan.

The Pilots continued to scan the area to the best of their abilities for any "Unwanted guests" however everything seemed to be good so far. Seemed like a standard assignment from just get to Point A to Point B. "They needed my Squadron to escort a test flight?" TI said in his head as he continued to follow this large war machine he felt slightly annoyed that his Superiors woke him up for a simple escort mission. "Hey, you guys doing ok?" he asked his fellow pilots as they continued to cruise the vast empty skies. "It's clear up here no other ships in sight." one of his pilots said as they flew by TI's Interceptor "TI-345 how about you?" TI said before getting a vague response back "Eh good here so far." finally before able to communicate with the pilots in the Prototype machine he gets an emergency call from the ship first. "We got company above are heads!" they said before TI looked up only to see thin air.

"Uh is the Ship's radar working? I see nothing." TI said before immediately getting a response back "Our Radars are indicating that they are using some sort of cloaking device!" The nervous Pilots said "If they are why haven't they attacked us yet?, it would seem to be the perfect opportunity to do so?" TI said somewhat confused but decided to test this "theory" as he still was not buying that the Ship's radars were fully functional yet.

He proceeded to brake his interceptor before flying up slightly behind the so called "enemy" he then began to randomly fire to satisfy the Pilot's paranoia, the sounds of the interceptors lasers echoes throughout the sky.

"Frotz!!" Poy exclaimed, hitting the booster and pulling away. She turned around and took some head on and side-on photographs; this would have to do for this time. Yanking back on the stick, she pulled the still invisible X-Wing into a near vertical climb and outclimbed the TIE fighter that was hot on her tail. She began to weave all over the sky, trying to shake him, but he stayed on her like glue and would not leaver her. So, Poy turned her X-Wing around and began a collision course with him, firing her quad cannons as the closing disrance rapidly diminished. And at the last possible second, she pulled up and over the TIE fighter, banking hard and getting on his tail and letting him have a taste of his own medicine. He was good, really good. But Poy was better - she had seen plenty of combat and had been flying these things since fourteen.

"Two can play at this game!!" the Twi'lek shouted angrily - she opened up the throttles and got closer and closer to the TIE fighter, until the X-Wing's nose was practically touching the TIE fighter. She opened fire point blank, and wanted nothing more than to blow this pilot to pieces and get the hell out of here and back to the safety of Illustrious which was currently waiting outside Bestine IV and monitoring the enemy for any transmissions from the shipyard to the prototype and also between the escorting TIE fighters. All of a sudden, she heard a bang from behind, and saw that one of the spoilers had been damaged by fire from one of the other TIE fighters. "Damn it!!" she yelled, as the Twi'lek tried to control the struggling Starfighter.

"See noth-" before the Pilot could finish his sentence he noticed that he blasts were actually making contact with something. He than realized that the numb skulls in the Prototype were right their was a Spy! Who it was yet TI did not know nor did he wish to find out so he proceeded to pursue the unwanted guest. He continued to follow each of the unknown pilot's moves attempting to dodge many of their blasts only managing to dodge 3 out of 5 of the blasts which by his books was sloppy. "Sir do you need assistance!?" one of his fellow pilots asked him in a worried tone. TI with a chuckle accompanied with a few grunts from some damage managed to respond back "Heh, no i'm fine it's just one pilot!"

He said in a somewhat confident manner although he still was impressed by this Pilot's skill they were certainty trained and weren't just some low life mercenary hired for this. He continued to follow her every move occasionally dodging and maneuvering around their blasts. However he did expect them to appear behind them immediately as he took heavy fire from the Pilot many warning flashes and sounds went off in the ship indicating various area were nearly on their last leg.

He had to wrap this up fast before he ends up dead, suddenly a wave of relief came over him as he heard the loud and distinctive sound of a spoiler blowing up it seems that one of his fellow pilots disobeyed him and fired upon the unknown person. "Hey i said stand back!" he said slightly annoyed but relieved as well "I'm not dragging your body back they'll kill me!" the other Pilot said jokingly before flying beside TI.

Poy pulled up on the stick and the invisible X-Wing fighter climbed vertically. The TIE Interceptor was still on her tail and even though he was flying a damaged craft, the pilot was not giving up any time soon. The prototype ship opened fire and so the Twi'lek opened fire with all four belly-mounted cannon and scored direct hits on its weapon systems, knocking them out of commission for the time being. She scored direct hits on the prototype's bridge. Even though she was only told to take photographs, she was now engaging the vessel in combat.

She scored more hits on the ship and saw explosions taking place all over the ship. Engaging the photograph package, she took photographs of the combat with the prototype vessel, to back up her actions if she was grilled by her superiors back at base. The X-Wing went all over the sky and the TIE Interceptor was still on her tail and she heard the IFF sending out the "Foe" tone; the TIE was behind her and firing at the enemy craft, but Poy managed to avoid most shots, but one managed to hit two of spoilers and then the X-Wing fell several hundred feet.
