(Note that the picture is just a concept. The actual gauntlet includes a large housing for the lightsaber and electronics as well as a heatshield over the wrist to prevent burns from the lightsaber.)
Intent: Part of Jareth’s lightsaber kit, a special order device for those who can afford it.
Development Thread: If necessary
Manufacturer: Limited Armaments
Model: Limited Armaments Assassin
Affiliation: Open market; Jareth Holst
Modularity: Can swap out the lightsaber inside.
Material: Dallorian Alloy, electronic components, specialized lightsaber
Size: wrist mounted (one hand)
Length: Fitted to the users forearm (for Dust this is about .6 meters)
Weight: 2.3 kg
Special Features: Spring loaded lightsaber blade (to eject), Database assistant for in-field research, twitch ready activation.
Description: The new Limited Armaments, “Assassin” is the latest special order model dreamed up by the designers at Limited Armaments to provide a stealthy way to carry a lightsaber wherever you go. Sporting a small data-pad with database services for in-the-field research and translation, this lightsaber gauntlet is useful for more than just whipping out your light sword in a surprising way. The model utilizes its specially designed housing to allow the user to activate the saber by gripping the glove sensor and tilting the wrist down. Do you need a hand on the saber for complex maneuvers? Tapping the wrist down twice in quick succession while gripping the glove sensor activates the spring loaded ejector allowing you to wield the lightsaber contained within the gauntlet. A tour de force for in combat variability, the Limited Armaments Assassin is perfect for any force user, or lightsaber trained mercenary. The gauntlet itself is not hidden, but the lightsaber blade would most certainly come as a surprise. the gauntlet glove has a pressure sensitive palm pad and a built in switch that runs along the sides of the hand which is pulled when the wrist is tilted down.

WEAKNESSES-
-Housing is vulnerable to attack
-Bulky
-requires a fitted lightsaber, so good luck using your personal lightsaber.

How does a lightsaber fit into this gauntlet? Is there extra space somewhere that allows the wearer to have space for both their arm and a hidden lightsaber hilt? How does tilting this activate the lightsaber within?

Those questions aside, I need this template to fit with the Melee Weapons template.
Image Source: (Please link to where you found the image, or to the original artist if possible. TinEye or Google Image Search can help.)
Intent: (Example: 'A personal weapon for Darth Scabious' or 'an advanced armored personnel carrier for the Republic')
Development Thread: (The main way people work for their toys, though most submissions don't require a development thread. Restricted items require specific development threads. Substantial development threads can help judges approve more powerful submissions. If in doubt, put 'If necessary,' and a judge may or may not ask you for one. Threads cited here must be at least 10 quality posts.)
Manufacturer: (Kuat Drive Yards, BlasTech Industries, [Character Name], etc.)
Model: (Example: E-11 Blaster Rifle. For submissions where a model wouldn't be appropriate, such as a custom walking stick, put 'N/A' for 'Not Applicable'.)
Affiliation: (Example: The E-11 Blaster Rifle was produced for the Galactic Empire and used almost exclusively by Imperial Stormtroopers. Do not put the company unless the product is only for your company's use. Common choices include 'Open market' or the name of a specific faction.)
Modularity: (Can components of this submission be swapped out for other components? Is it especially easy to modify? For most submissions, put 'No'.)
Production: (The scale is Unique, Semi-Unique, Limited, Minor, Mass-Produced. More powerful submissions are more likely to be approved the fewer of them there are. There are no numbers associated with these.)
Material: (What is it made out of? Certain materials are more resistant, or vulnerable, to certain weapons. Example: 'Durasteel, blaster components.')
Classification: (Dagger, Sword, Whip, etc.)
Size: (One-handed, Two-handed, etc.)
Length: (Via Metric System)
Weight: (Via Metric System. Note that most swords are 2-4kg.)
Special Features: (Is it resistant to certain weapons? Is it telescopic? Even if you've discussed your features at length in the Description line of the Base Template, this is a good place to list them.)
Description: (Include some strengths and weaknesses here. Describe some of the history behind the submission. Give us some idea of how it might perform its function, what it excels against and what some limitations of it are. This is where you talk about your idea, flesh it out over at least a good-sized paragraph, and address some of the ways it might be used or abused. For especially powerful or ambitious submissions, a very thorough description is recommended.)

alright, so, I could not find any pictures with an appropriate gauntlet. I just found one that sort of got the idea of this gauntlet. It does have extra space to house the lightsaber. The gauntlet itself is not hidden, but the lightsaber blade would most certainly come as a surprise. the gauntlet glove has a pressure sensitive palm pad and a built in switch that runs along the sides of the hand which is pulled when the wrist is titled down. I will rewrite this post to match those specifications, I didn't use the melee template prior because I thought of this as a housing for a melee weapon, not necessarily a melee weapon in and of itself.
