Heir to Clan Khath

Voss, The Sith Invasion
The Song Estate
Smoldering ash and the smell of blood clung heavy to the air, brought upwind by hot breezes; the side-effect of mass environmental manipulation in a short space of time. If it wasn’t enough to wake the young prince from his slumber, the nearby screams surely were. His eyes flashed open to a thick darkness, and immediately began spluttering and wheezing at the heavy smoke that surrounded his room. Stumbling out of his bed, he struggled to get a good grasp of footing, his balance rendered askew from the lack of oxygen in his lungs. He sought to call out for Iris, hoping she had managed to escape in time, but instead he felt the ash that clung to his lungs make his chest spasm into a coughing fit. He had to get out.
The scent of burning wood and paint was excessive and sickening, and the heat was almost unbearable. Yet, something felt even more terrible than anything around him; a deep-seeded, primal fear of a beast in flight.
Yuyo.
Was she safe from this? He could not feel her, for his own feelings were confused and twisted. He had to find her. Kicking out the smoldering door to his bedroom, Auron flung himself between burning furniture and the antique heirlooms of his ancient family, all of which had inevitably caught ablaze. So far, the building’s structure had seemed to remain relatively intact, but as he took a step on the spiral staircase down to the ground floor, the wooden beams beneath him split immediately on contact, causing him to tumble down into the flames beneath him.
Then a blistering pain that no words could describe. His body scorched in agony as burning hair and flesh stabbed at his nostrils and a dramatic silence stilled his tongue. But it would not be over yet. It took all of his might and then some to push himself beyond the perils of the fire that caged him so, and yet in those moments he suddenly felt as though he had lost something severely important to him. A sudden void filled him, and the immense pain of burning suddenly became numb and dead to him. With all the remaining strength that he could muster, Auron pulled himself through the blinding fire, using his full weight to fall through the front entrance and into the smoking Song Estate courtyard beyond.
He landed face first into the ground, and struggled to push himself up with whatever remaining strength he may have had. All of it was ablaze; his entire legacy. But… where was Yuyo? And then he saw her; a crumpled, bloody mess beside the stables, and in that moment it was as though something had been confirmed inside of himself that had been there since he had first awoken. His bond with the Force beast had been destroyed, and with it… his connection to the Force itself. Suddenly, there was naught but void, and a desperate clinging to an intangible silence. Auron shrunk inside himself, body burned and broken, face bloody and wretched, and he screamed... until there was nothing.
