DESCRIPTION
The Jade Triad started as a necessity of self-protection after a cadet branch of the Praji family were murdered wholesale by a Duros gang, after they had racked up one too many debts. To protect the last pieces of his family holdings Yu began making alliances with unlikely players, disenfranchised and weak alone, but grouped together?
A different sort of business.
They centered themselves around the Ashira District in one of the many ring-cities of Denon. Denon, being only second to Coruscant in terms of its urban sprawl, spread its districts out and grouped them together in spherical cities inspired by Kaikielius, influenced by the Vahali House. With its new allies the Jade Triad was able to break the hold of the Duros gang and then spread their influence further.
Their influence is focused around the back-stretch of the Corellian Run, Denon, Nubia, Loronar, Corellia, Rhommamool and New Plympto. They own warehouses, docking bays, maintain steady contact with a handful of outlaw techs who fix up their gear and vehicles. Their presence is growing, but they are steady and slow in their growth.
Waiting patiently for the right time to strike and expand, instead of haphazardly running around and planting their flags.
RATIONALE
The Jade Triad was formed by Yu Praji after the dissolution of the Tikzha Cartel, a sizeable consortium of corrupt Duros loan-sharks, book keepers and solicitors, who had put out a hit on the Denon cadet branch of his family. Making quick allies with disenfranchised criminal groups pushed back by the Tikzha he employed shock-and-awe tactics to cow them into submission.
Now the Triad is slowly expanding its hold across the Corellian Run. They smuggle, extort, assassinate and blackmail anyone standing in their path. Along the way they make unlikely friends by allowing buy-ins of operations with sizeable cuts of profit.
The core of the Triad is centered around Yu himself, who is protected by a cabal of Noghri led by his staunch protector Rukhan. Beneath him are the various groups who offer a cut of their profits in return for mutual protection, assurances and the benefit of connections utilized to smooth their way.
Everyone profits... except the ones in their way.
