The Interview

Location: Nightclub, Red Light District, Undisclosed Planet

Away from the pulsing music and rowdy crowds below, Viktor waited for the applicant in a sound proofed VIP room on the second floor. Playing the part of an Ubese bounty hunter trying to blow off a little steam, singing along with a pair of pricey bar hostesses - a Zeltron, and a blue Twi'Lek - to a set of shallow pop songs. They urged him to at least remove his mask, but he refused, citing a weak immune system. They bought it, not really caring in the end as long as the credits kept flowing. Right outside the room, a Draag and Gommorean posted to either side of the door - bouncers he had paid hefty fee to stand around guarding him.

While it seemed like he was all into enjoying himself performing bad karaoke, only a fraction of processing power was being used to run the social protocols required to keep up the charade. Most of his focus was in messing with the clubs security system, feeding data from all the sensors directly back to himself to observe the entire club, and keep an eye out for the applicant.

Nevaeh was in her element. The heavy beat of music, the shadowed alleys, the far too distracted crowd. This kind of setting was her birth place and her training ground. The message she had received had, of course, been anonymous as they almost always were. There was a lingering sense of excitement, as usual, when it came to meeting a new client. The Hutt's had been faithful business partners to her for the last few years, so a change would be nice.

Tucked neatly away from prying eyes in the sanctum of shadow behind the night club, Nevaeh watched. A constant flow of people, in and out. She steadied herself at the edge of the shadow, her foot poised to cross the border from darkness to light. For anyone watching close enough, her face caught the bright lights for a second, before it was gone. Nothing but the shadowed alley way remained. The force cloaked her body as she blended seamlessly into the crowd that made its way inside the night club. The stairs up to the second floor loomed as she picked her way through the stumbling party goers. Most of them were drunk and falling over anyway, what did a little push matter?

Her body fazed back into existence in between the two unsuspecting guards. The only evidence of her entering the club were a few spilt drinks and confused patrons. A hallow sound followed as her fist rapped against the doors. She did enjoy her job.

Viktor was impressed by her infiltration. If he hadn't been looking out for her through the club's security system, then she would have gotten the drop on on him. So it came as no surprise to see the two guards nearly jump out of their boots as a hulking black figure suddenly materialized between them. The Gommorean squealed like a frightened little piggy, nearly dropping his vibro-staff, but the Draag was much quicker to recover, fumbling with his holster to draw his pistol.

"That won't be necessary," Viktor informed to the startled guard through through his earpiece before he got himself murdered - now wasn't quite the time for that. "Let her enter."

Glaring at the giant clad in black - more to hide his fear than display any real anger - the Draag let his hand fall from the side, then Viktor unlocked the sliding door for her with a remote. It was over a foot shorter than she was though, so she would have to duck her head to pass through.
