  • Canon: N/A
  • Permissions: N/A
  • Links: Meer, The Host, Host-spores
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Name: The Inhabited, The Hiveless
  • Designation: non-sentient-> semi-sentient -> sentient
  • Origins: The Ocean Planet of Meer
  • Average Lifespan: Bio-indefinite (see historical information)
  • Estimated Population: Inter-Planetary
  • Description: Corpses inhabited by Host-Spores, slowly growing into an “impure” Host.
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Breathes: N/A (see historical information)
  • Average Height of Adults: 1.1-2.5 meters
  • Average Length of Adults: N/A
  • Skin color: grey to charcoal black
  • Hair color: Blonde, Black, Ginger, Red, White, Grey, or Brown until consumed (see general behavior)
  • Distinctions: cadavers with fungi protruding from many different
  • Races: Stage one; servant. Stage Two; half-breed. Stage Three; Hiveless.
  • Force Sensitivity: Standard
Strengths:
  • Internal Biosphere; part of a Host's natural lifecycle, they grow their own ecosystem within their bodies to subsist upon for, theoretically, forever. (No need for food or air, still needs water intake.)
  • Telepathic manipulation; (only applies if the individual being exerted upon is infected with Host-spores and the subject isn’t “neutered”) allows matured Hosts to control other beings so long as their spores remain a part of their mind. (See Host-spores)
Weaknesses:
  • Fire; fire bad.
  • Energy weapons; easily pierces the fungal skin of the Hosts.
  • Lightsabers; easily cuts through the fungal skin of the Hosts.
CULTURE
  • Diet: Omnivore (necrophage)
  • Communication: Telepathy (hive-mind)
  • Technology level: N/A (see The Host)
  • Religion/Beliefs: Uhng (see historical information(see The Host))
  • General behavior: Seen as little more than illegitimate heirs or “bastards,” half-breeds and the Hive-less (stage 2 and 3 of the transformation respectively) are often misrepresented in their respective clans. They have very little influence in their clans’ affairs, and are generally not allowed to speak publicly or privately to their own “families.” They are often “neutered” so-to-speak so that their “parent/parents” do not have to deal with them creating offspring of their own, or exerting their own influence over other Host-lifeforms, as this is most definitely frowned upon by the Hosts as a whole. That said, many “Hive-less” have “binded” with “pure” Hosts in the past, though their offspring tend to have issues with their physiology when grown. And though unproven, the Mudcap clan is rumored to have arisen from such a coupling (see The Host). Even though many are outright loathed for their existence, there have been a select few who have made their own “footprints” within the Host communities, though these select few are typically killed off after their ideas are brought forth, leaving whoever they called “family” with whatever they had. As for how they come to be, you should first come to understand the natural lifecycle of the traditional Hosts (see here), understand now? Good, here’s how the Hive-less come to be; first, a matured Host must produce Host-spores that bind themselves to the corpse or living tissue of a suitable “habitat.” These spores will slowly consume the nutrients of their ensnared habitat, keeping the habitat intact throughout the entire process, until the spores themselves become their own conscious individual, as their habitat slowly loses itself the spores grow into their own fully developed lifeform. A “Hive-less” is typically considered matured when both their habitat has expired and their own body has developed an internal ecosystem to subsist upon. This process is often called “ceremorphosis,” and typically lasts for several decades before being considered complete (depending on the inhabited being’s physiology).
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Include a description of the species history here. If your species is genetically engineered or Sithspawn please describe the process through which they were created, by who, and why. Explain the various challenges encountered during their creation. Most galactic species will be quite old - include major events relevant to the species in how they evolved and developed into what they are today where appropriate. Including Chaos canon events, where they impacted the history of this species, is a plus
