Bounty The Hunt for Hego Hill

S C I N T I L L I A
Unknown Regions

Another day, another job. For who knows how long, Siv Dragr's life had been a monotony of bounty after bounty. It was the way; it was the code that Siv had pledged his life to. But after all of those he'd known, all of those that had pledged their lives to that very same code had been murdered by the Sith, sometimes Siv wondered if there was any point to following the code anymore. Those thoughts would slowly creep into his mind, eating away at him for days on end until he remembered that he was the last remnant of an extinguished clan, a forgotten people. To forsake the code would be to dishonor their memory. And so Siv kept going, day after day, bounty after bounty.

Besides, there wasn't much else that would put credits in his pocket.

Today's mission was a rather low-profile one; with low risk came low reward, and indeed Siv's contractor had decided not to be a generous donor. Yet, the Mandalorian anticipated that this mission would not be particularly challenging. His target was some banker in the unknown regions, working for a government that Siv had heard of once or twice at the bar. They called themselves the 'Agents of Chaos,' and apparently took pride in having no other purpose than to cause upheaval and discord throughout the galaxy. Being a mercenary, Siv didn't particularly mind that; in his eyes, less territory controlled by the bigwigs like the Confederacy and the Sith meant more room for him to operate in. But at the end of the day, a mission was a mission, and in these trying times, Siv was not very likely to turn down a contractor on moral reasons.

The
Blood Eclipse reverted into hyperspace to be greeted by what looked like a massive construction project. Or some sort of space giant's left-over toys, like something out of the old fables from Siv's childhood. The bounty hunter had read up a little on the Scintilla, but he had not been prepared for a space station of many different-sized, vibrantly colored spheres all half-hazardley connected together via a network of tunnels. The illuminated spheres almost seemed to be individual stars, and it took a second for the tinted transparisteel windows of the Blood Eclipse to adjust accordingly. As the small ship continued through hyperspace, Siv shook his head. He was here to collect a bounty, not to ogle at some peculiar space station. Pulling up a map of the station, he quickly located his destination -- simply named Eve, it seemed to be the largest sphere apparently the capital of the space station. It struck Siv as odd that a space station would have a capital, let alone more than one municipal district, but then again there were many strange things about Scintilla. And besides, if Eve was the capital, that meant that it was the head of all administrative departments within the Agents of Chaos. And there wouldn't be any more likely place to find his quarry, a banker, financer and administrator, than in the capital of Scintilla.

Tuning his transponder to the station's frequency, he quickly transmitted his request for permission to land at Eve, and only a few seconds later came a reply of landing coordinates leading to a docking bay-sphere right outside of Eve's bubble. As the Blood Eclipse wove in between individual spheres, some still in-construction and others illuminated by vibrant lights, the Mandalorian was beginning to wonder if the name Agents of Chaos applied not only to their foreign policy, but to their general culture as well. It was certaintly a fresh breath of air from the standard nitty-gritty space stations, Siv had to admit as he piloted his ship into the docking bay, landing at a discreet corner, close to one of the tubes that from his holomaps Siv knew went straight to Eve. Walking out of the cockpit, he neglected to flip off the central power -- rather burn a few kilos of fuel waiting than have an escape be botched by a not yet warmed-up ship.

The boarding hatch of the Blood Eclipse retracted and closed as the bounty hunter left his ship, a simple yet nearly fail-proof measure against chance theft. If the Agents of Chaos were as chaotic as they claimed to be, Siv wasn't about to trust them with any sort of port security. Stepping over to a rental counter, he tossed a few credits over before selecting a two-person speeder bike, small enough to be indiscreet yet large enough to carry him and his quarry on the return trip. Revving the engine of the bike, it wasn't very long before he was in the dark transport tunnels between the docking bay and Eve, which finally gave him a chance to mentally review his plan. It was simple, really -- the administrative building of the Agents simply called the Tower, was too much much of a high-security target for Siv to assault. Even if he did manage to make it in-and-out past security with his target secured, by that time practically everyone on Scintilla would likely know that Siv was here, and it would be pretty much end-of-the-line for the bounty hunter. However, anticipating that, Siv had arrived precisely at the time in which the artificial skies of Scintilla were turning to dusk. Those who worked at the Tower would be heading home to their comfortable suites, and that was when Siv planned to intercept his quarry. It would be simple; stun the target, bind him, and throw him on the back of the speeder. If everything went well, he'd have his bounty collected within the next rotation. But then again, plans like these never seemed to go the simple way.

As Siv's speeder bike pulled out of the tunnel and into Eve itself, he was slightly astounded to see a suprisingly-high amount of foliage in the city, for a municipality within a space station. The trees and plants made it almost feel like Siv was on an actual world, and he could faintly hear wildlife rustling through the trees; avians, insects, and amphibians. Getting over his astonishment, Siv felt his mouth smile slightly under his helmet. The trees and bushes would only give him more cover and shade to be less ambiguous, he thought as the large Tower in the distance only grew nearer. It wasn't long before he was at his destination; a small alleyway next to an intersection, right near the main entrance of the Tower itself. Siv stepped off of his speeder and crouched behind a tree, almost completely masking his figure. He counted on his anti-sensor coating to do the rest as he zoomed in his helmet's optics, turning on the biosignature and heat tracker. Besides a pair of security droids at the entrance to the Tower, and what looked like to be some rooftop entrenchments, the area was virtually unguarded. Now, all Siv had to do was wait.

As Siv entered the tower, he would be greeted by an Iotran guard with a very warm welcoming smile. It's almost as if somebody expected him to be here.

"Message for mister Siv Dragr!" the Iotran said.

He then flipped out a holoprojector. He then clicked it on and it would show him a figure he knew quite well: that of Hego Hill.

"Hello mister Dragr," Hego said. "You won't be finding me in Eve, that's for certain. In fact, you probably won't find me at all. However, I'd like to strike you a deal that you might like. I'm willing to offer you four times more whatever Jerec offered if you get Jerec Asyr, disable his ship, and bring him to Anthan Prime after I've arrived there. Tow his ship, if you could, and don't destroy it. As a token of honesty, here's his ship's location."

A beep could be heard on Siv's navigation console.
