The Hunger Grows
Bovos was sitting on the ground pressed against the wall, thinking about the future and angered by the incompetence of his fellow survivors. The remaining members of his tribe had been soaring through space for what seems like ages. Food was once again forcing their hand in this cruel game of fate. Adding onto the already existing problems, the VCX - 100 was running low on fuel and Bovos had no idea where one could find more of this resource. Bovos was frustrated, the problems were stacking up furthermore no solutions were insight. So far he has only seen one tiny part of this immense universe. Bovos thought that outside of the Asteroid field that he grew up in things would be different but, things were not different the pain was still there and so was the eternal hunger of his people. The hunger followed him everywhere he went, with every meal came the realization that he could never feel satisfied.

he would have never thought that this life would turn out this bad. Thinking back to when he and his friends were top of the tribe brought joy to his heart. Things were much simpler back then, there was enough food, everyone was happy plus their tribe was even expanding. A loud beeping and red lights flashing woke Bovos from his daydreaming. "Bovos, we do not like that sound, make it go away it does not feel good," said in the language of the Cha'ta'ri by the scraping voice of a young Cha'ta'ri hunter. Bovos heard the loud noise as well, he did not know what it was but it must have come from the control room of this spacecraft he thought to himself. "Do not worry, I will take care, go tell others everything is fine, Yes" Bovos hissed back to the hunter standing in front of him. Others were not as smart as Bovos, this annoyed him. "Stupid hunters, this is all their fault, so primitive, without idiots like them we Cha'ta'ri could be so much better."

Bovos walked back towards the cockpit, passing most of the survivors, they looked weak and he could tell in their eyes that they won't last much longer. He entered the cockpit, he was all alone as he instructed all the others to stay out of the area because he did not trust these fools. Looking at the button area of his ship he noticed that the screen was blinking red with strange words on it. It was in a different language but he understood some of it because of his extensive research into the other languages and cultures, but most of it was still baffling. Bovos was able to have his helmet translate the words he spoke and the language of others when they speak but sadly it could not translate the writing. The lack of his knowledge frustrated Bovos wich made him hit the screen with his fist. All of a sudden the beeping stopped and the screen was no longer flashing with the word, it now had a mother word this one he could read. It said Qi-Ko, he had heard of this place before from the person that was the previous owner.

The previous owner was weak and had little hair, he was overpowered very quickly although, he killed one of the hunters with wired magic that was invisible to their eyes. His home that he came from must have more people to feed upon, this was the first thought of Bovos who could hear his stomach rumble with hunger. His eyes widened as he could finally relive, the problem was solved he would go to this planet and nourish himself of its inhabitants. Then find more resources maybe even the resource to fuel the VCX - 100 and then his journey could continue.

Looking at the screen Bovos saw the word Qi-Ko, under it he saw other smaller words and numbers. The words he saw did not look threatening. He was contemplating if he should press the button or leave it alone, but the numbers next to the words were going down furthermore Bovos did not know what the numbers meant either. Once again the lack of knowledge was limiting Bovos. Behind him one of the hunters stumbled in and with his large arms. The hunter bumped Bovos pushing him forwards onto the button on the screen. "You fool, look what you have done, this could kill us all, you dam hunters" Bovos screamed at the hunter clicking his Chelicerae furiously. The hunter confused at what just happened just stood in front of Bovos, angry that he got screamed at but scared at what he had done. Once again the loud sound began but this time with a voice talking in a language that neither could understand. Bovos quickly put on his helmet then he turned on the translated. "Please stay seated and put on safety locks, we are entering hyperspace in ten seconds, Please stay seated and put on safety locks, we are entering hyperspace in 9 seconds"
The voice was calm furthermore it, did not sound like a Cha'ta'ri. Bovos followed its instructions as he knew that this was the voice of the spaceship and that it was helping him. However, the hunter just stood there looking confused.

A small chuckle escaped from Bovos mouth, the hunter fell over and got thrown back because of the forces acting against him. Things were happening quickly this exited Bovos he was learning from this experience, he remembered the words on the screen, next time he would be better prepared. A large light appeared in front if the ship and they flew straight into it. The strange light had now completely swallowed the ship plus he could feel that he was moving forwards very fast.

He forgot all about his hunger, he was too caught up in the moment, fascinated by what was occurring around him. He could hear the scared chatter of the other Cha'ta'ri, this amused him. Bovos did not remember the last time he was so amused. This has been the first time he heard himself laugh. It was a strange sound to him. The laughter did not last long as the ship abruptly slowed down and the lights disappeared. Looking out the window Bovos saw a large planet right in front of him. "This must be Qi-Ko, Yes, it looks peaceful and there is a lot of green colors, Yes, This will be fun"
