STANDARD FEATURES
G7-x Gravjectors: Gravity Well Generators housed inside the Haunting Moon. (x)

ADVANCED SYSTEMS

AN-y-20 Active Sensor Transceiver: Used for jamming sensor readings as well as jamming communications with nearby vessels. (x)
Aural Sensor: Used to detect audio frequencies in the vacuum of space. Can be against cloaked ships in space though at a short range. (x)
Com-scan: Multiple sensor technologies to find hidden starships or stations in deep space. (x)
Dedicated Energy Receptors: Used to narrow down suspicious detections in subspace. Can be used to detect hidden ships and stations. (x)
Electronic Countermeasures: From afar, the entire ship would be read as something else or some non-existant gas. This helps out when out in the middle of nowhere or in dangerous enemy territory. (x)
Electrotelescope: Cannot be removed from the Haunting Moon, can be used to look around the area more effectively at long ranges. (x)
Environmental Sensor: Used to detect irregularities or basic statistics of planetary information from afar. Can detect some portions of civilization also. (x)
Energy Scanner: Used mainly to detect recent emission trails from starships. Can be used in detection of cloaked starfighters. (x)
Gravity Sensor: Mainly used in detection of direlect starships or stations to detect if gravity still exists in the area. Can also be used in determining if stations have or have not got gravity generators. (x)
Hyperwave Signal Interceptor: Used to detect fluctuation in space from hyperspace entry and departures. Used heavily when hunting for starships that entered the area or last known locations. (x)
Infared Motion Sensor: While much bigger than intended, it can be used to detect cloaked starships, hidden asteroid bases or recent detonations in the area. (x)
Life Sensor: Is used to scan for organic life forms on active or inactive starships or stations. (x)
Mass Sensor: Mainly used to prevent itself from going through a massive object during hyperspace. Also used as a dual source for detecting hidden enemy starships using cloaking devices by detecting irregular masses in space. (x)
Measuring Scanner: Used to figure out what can be stored in their own cargo hold and/or detect the mass of the object they are approaching towards. (x)
Metal Sensor: Used to detect minerals in asteroids or otherwise hidden vessels in the reaches of space. Used against cloaking ships as well. (x)
Power Scanner: While much larger than it is supposed to be, is designed to detect of direlict ships still have any form of power or if nearby ships ready to salvage have any power left. (x)
Proximity Sensor: Used to tell orgionally when a starship is able to jump into hyperspace. Now used in conjunction to find cloaked ships if they stray to close. (x)
Radiation Detector: Mainly used to make sure not interacting with a highly radioactive section of space. Can be used also in lost ship finding operations. (x)
Soliton Antenna: Detection uses for ships during hyperspace travel, figures if the Haunting Moon needs to wait an additional few seconds forward or stop before running into the nearby starship. (x)
Surveillance Detector: While much larger than usual, this allows the Haunting Moon to detect any form of survillence devices hidden in space up to 10km. Can be used also against hidden starships or those powered down. (x)
Visual Scanners: Used to tell unusual objects in space that were not seen generally with the naked eye. (x)
Ultrasonic Scanners: Able to tell vibrations in space or nearby asteroids/planetoid objects. Can be used also for directional purposes if lost. (x)

Strengths:
  • The Sensor King: The Haunted Moon is the undisputed king of sensors, having enough to not only find anything not usually found on regular scanners, but also having a massive amount to detect any form of hidden ships.
  • You Cannot Escape: Due to the amount of sensors, gravity well generators as well as some forms of firepower, it be hard pressed to find a way to escape whilst it has locked onto an enemy ship.
  • Do a Barrel Roll!: This ship is fast and very maneuverable, able to turn on slower Star Destroyers rather quickly and some cruisers.
Weaknesses:
  • Extremely Old: The Haunted Moon itself is very old, it can have occasional glitches and malfunctions even if updated. It also requires several maintenance checks over the course of several days to just keep running.
  • Battle Mode or Sensor Mode: It cannot be one or the other. While the Gravity Wells can be consistently on, to go into Battle or Sensor Mode, entire power generators are rerouted and take some time to go into the proper mode. If ambushed, this can be dangerous in a hurry. Very few sensors would be activated during Battle Mode while in Sensor Mode, very few weapons would be online.
  • Rear Weakness: The rear with its flaps extended make it an easy target and it cannot shoot behind itself. Anything fast can exploit this and become a real problem in a hurry.
  • Exposed Sensor Equipment: It is very easy to tell where the system equipment is located across the entire Haunting Moon with most being at the bottom, destroying it would cause havoc throughout the ship.
Description:

This ship was found during a recent warship battlesite inspection well outside the reaches of Nal Hutta space. Found adrift while mainly intact, Haon Hafey ordered for the ship to be in tow and figured that it be possible to rebuild such a massive Star Destroyer. What he did not figure was the amount of old sensors that were attached to the vessel in question. It acted as if it was a very old exploration ship but with the power of a Star Destroyer in its time period. As it was brought into the dry dock, it was then refitted with each sensor cleaned and repaired which, while some of it could not be.

Aural Sensor, Com-scan, Dedicated Energy Receptors, Electronic Countermeasures, Electrotelescope, Environmental Sensor, Energy Scanner, Gravity Sensor, Infared Motion Sensor, Life Sensor, Mass Sensor, Measuring Scanner, Metal Sensor, Power Scanner, Proximity Sensor, Radiation Detector, Surveillance Detector, Visual Scanners, and Ultrasonic Scanners were all found inside the starship and was slowly repaired in a painstaking process to ensure each one would not only function as intended but also be up to date with modern technologies. Afterwards, they added in a AN-y-20 Active Sensor Transceiver, Hyperwave Signal Interceptor, and a Soliton Antenna to increase the sensor packages as well as some modernized technology to detect hyperspace. Weapon systems were primed with new torpedo systems as well as updated power reactors to keep speeds up to date.

One of the few things not removed was the unique twelve engine block system inside the ship. It was highly concentrated reactors of energy linked with maneuvering flaps on the outside which in turn, allowed extremely quick turn speed for a Star Destroyer of its size. One of the unique features found during exploration was that it fielded Gravity Well Generators but due to age, they all degraded to nothing. So the decision was made to input four G7-x Gravjectors into the main hull of the ship, hidden out of view to prevent those from escaping that easily. However with new power drains, it had to have two different modes installed into the bridge array. Battle Mode and Sensor Mode, allowing it to divert power where it was most important.

While the rear was an issue that never got dealt with, it was discovered just how old the starship really was, dating back to when the Hutts first started exploring into space, their own empire. It took over four months of refits but finally, it was ready to leave dry dock as it would leave with a rather sizable cargo hold as it sacrificed fighter support for it. In addition, the crew strength was around three hundred with able to hold five hundred more passengers if need be. Lastly, it had a years worth of consumables with the crew naming the strange ship, the Haunting Moon as it was found a rather dark hidden moon that masked its presence.

I'm going to approve this, but I just want to note that several cloaking systems actually circumvent many of these sensor types. Just worth bearing in mind should this be brought to bear during a thread.
