Ignore the flame, the ship is the perfect picture so I went with it. The flame wouldn't actually be there, but like I said, it looks like I imagined the engine so...

I found it here: http://ere4s3r.deviantart.com/art/Spaceship-2-149365538

Intent: An upgraded engine to serve in the ships created by Half Angel Industries
Development Thread: If necessary
Manufacturer: Half Angel Industries.
Model: N/A
Affiliation: Half Angel Industries
Modularity: Not really.
Production: Limited.
Material: Durasteel, Engine Parts, Computer Parts.
Description: Granted, one could just order or make a regular engine, but Xander Black was anything but normal. When he chose to finally open Half Angel Industries he set up a small department made to take regular modern day things, such as ship engines and properly upgrade them.

Xander and his department did quite well to say the least, and from their hard work came The Half Engine. This engine is capable of pushing ships further and faster than they have ever gone. However, there are limits. Size of ship still applies, thus if this engine gets used in a cruiser for example, it won't push it much faster. Yes the ships will go faster than most, but they can't go much faster.

Another thing Xander didn't really take into account was size of the engine. The engine is massive, thus it doesn't fit in anything such as a fighter. The smallest ship it can actually fit into are frigates, as anything smaller won't be able to store the engine. Another thing is heat. This engine gives off masses of heat, meaning engine rooms are hell to be in.

However, the engines can be computer controlled. These engines can be controlled from the bridge, where heat can't affect poor engine staff. Computer Controls also mean that injuries are less common, because people are not playing with engines twenty four seven.

The speed boosts are not over the top, no. You won't ever see a frigate reaching speeds of a corvette, but it'll get quite close to say the least. The engine isn't made to see a whole classification higher, just close. A frigate is naturally slower than a corvette, and Xander planed it to stay that way, he just made the speeds come close to each other.

Could you elborate on the boosted speed? What I want to know is the intended speed boost meant to bring the ships the engine is placed on whole classifications faster (IE a Frigate as fast as a Corvette).

Added it in the description. To sum it up the engine isn't meant to reach a whole classification higher, it's just meant to get close to it.

I would prefer if you give me a tangible decimal numerical amount on what the boost is please.

IE: We are seeing an influx of engines that combined with others have boosted up an engine to be pretty fast.

So where would this go?
