The Great Galactic Quest

Lirra, Lirra Base 1

Werah walked up the ramp of the spaceship, nodding to the pilot that he had hired. He was setting off across the galaxy, on a mission to investigate a rogue droid faction, known as "The Scrap-Steel Killers". Undoubtedly, it would be dangerous, the previous missions to investigate them had lost transmission suddenly, and dissapeared. But Werah was not alone, he had hired a few mercenaries to help him, and a HK droid too. Fight fire with fire, or something along those lines, thought Werah. He had already picked up the pilot, and the rest of the crew would join them, at a spaceport on tattooine. It was tiring, these constant missions, never any time to relax. But he knew his duty, and he would stick to it. "Let's go!", said Werah, nodding to the pilot. The ship took off, heading to tattooine...

Tattooine, Spaceport

The ship touched down quickly, lowering its ramp. Werah looked out, trying to spot the HK droid, and the mercenaries. He soon spotted the droid, and watched as it came aboard. A strange flying ball shot past Werah's ear, but he dismissed it as sand. A group of armour-clad mercenaries appeared, about 10 in total. He glanced over them as they walked in, looking at one of them in particular, a man called Grey, or so he had been told. Checking everyone was there, the ramp slid up. The quest was afoot...

Hot. Blind. Wind. Sand.

Petri shot out of the ship, a little ball of fur and fury skyrocketing into the air. The little Vespert had never been to Tatooine before, and the sight of so much sand sent giddy shivers down his little bones. The people he had rode with were unlike any he had ever been with. They were all fighters, and Petri could tell that they could lift pretty heavy thing.

Petri had decided to trail these warriors in this planet, deciding to stick to the corners of their vision instead of introduce himself. He let his consciousness drift over their minds, reading the surface thoughts of the weaker minded ones of the group. The little bat got slight impressions of their lives; childhood memories, desires, wishes... A few of the minds seemed more powerful than the others, ones Petri had difficulty breaching. He didn't try, though. He simply let them be, hovering in the air fifty feet above their heads, a splotch in the sky.

The TLX-3000 Light freighter that Usa'ar proudly owned hummed softly as he drummed his fingers on the pilot's chair, patiently awaiting the Jedi who hired him and the mercs he was bringing aboard the operation. They would probably need the extra help, so as long as they didn't wreck his ship in the process, Usa'ar was fine with their strong, albeit gruff, presence.

He could handle himself in a fight well enough; previous adventures with Jedi, Sith, and Pirates proved that. Usa'ar had even done a stint with a guerrilla force on Onderon. He would be fine. But these so-called "Scrap Steel Killers" were an unknown threat, and, of course, caution would be advised.

Usa'ar yawned and checked the time. Everyone needed should be here soon.

Gray was waiting for a client to come pick him up for a job at a space port on Tatooine. You would think with him being the newly appointed CEO of SocMin Fed as well as his duties to Industrial Automatons he would have stopped the freelance jobs as a regular mercenary, but he hadn't. He found that these side jobs did wonders to help ease some of the stress of paperwork all day long and the endless series of employee issues. He was wearing his new ranger armor for this mission with his blaster pistol strapped to his left leg as it always was and the hilt of his light saber, Whisper, next to the blaster. He sat cross legged on top of a crate with his arms on his legs and his eyes closed behind his mask. He was meditating on the force and strengthening his connection. He always found himself doing this in his spare time, and he felt it was helping him make some progress in getting better.

The ship arrived soon enough, and when it did he stopped his meditation. He opened his eyes and got off of the crate. He walked towards the ramp and saw the guy who was in charge of the mission. He walked up to [member="Werah Unon"] and said with his hand extended out, " You are the man in charge right? Pleasure to meet you. Mind informing me on the details for the job? Or would you rather wait for us to be on our way? I'm fine either way." He noticed [member="Usa'ar Obath"] and figured he must be the pilot. He nodded to the man in a greeting as he waited for a reply to his question. As he stood there, he felt [member="Petri"] touching his mind and focused on it for a moment. Who ever was reaching out didn't make an attempt to push further than a light touch, so he let it go. The important part right now was the job.

"Well, we're going to go and investigate a group of rogue droids. I'll tell you more when we get going", replied Werah, raising the ramp up. You would think with all the stuff going on in the TU right now, they would need everyone working, so it was surprising that he had been sent on this mission. Werah wasn't sure if it was an insult, or a compliment, but it sure as hell was confusing. He had looked over the previous investigations into these droids, but they didn't really tell much. Sighing, he settled down, as the ship began to lift off from the spaceport. The sandy expanses of tatooine quickly fled below them, and they exited the atmosphere. Werah gave the order to engage the warp drive, and they shot off, faster than light itself. The stars grew into lines, and Werah reveled in the moment of infinity. But soon they arrived, and a solar system appeared in front of them. The droids were based on one of the moons of the huge blue gas giant, also Werah told the pilot to scan the system. The readout quickly appeared, and Werah grabbed it, checking for information. But what he saw was completely unexpected, and mysterious...

Ah, Tatooine, the sand wasteland that Meatbags have found to survive in...pitiful. His Master, [member="Matthew (Rogue) Drevur"], landed on the yellow desert planet on the way to another one, one that he didn't know the name of. HK-42 wandered about, and looks up, seeing a ship with a HK unit signal bouncing back to him as the it was leaving the planet, and immediately jumped to hyperspace. He'd walk back to the ship his Master owns, and boards it, immediately bumping into his Master once he boards.

Observation: Master, a ship with an HK signature on it has left the planet, and has jumped to a new part of the Galaxy.

Recommendation: I suggest that we try to follow the ship, and determine its new location to discover what that ship found.

At first, his Master was a bit hesitant, not understanding how he'd able to track them down,so HK-42 gladly explained to him how this was possible

Explanation: Master, since they have another HK unit on board, I will be able to track them through that HK unit, no matter where they are in the Galaxy.

Query: So, do we follow the meatbags or not, Master?

He'd await his Master's choice, waiting on whether they follow it or not, and see what the other ship discovered at their location.

"We follow them, loot em, and take any bounties they have on them. Then the HK droid can come with us or whatever. I swear you want to built an HK army. Yeish." I walk back inside and climb up the ladder. I walk into the cockpit and hit some buttons, "Ok then, using your coordinates you got, I tracked them down. Lets go, soon, its way too hot here. Its like being inside an oven set for four-hundred degrees." The ramp closes, we hover into the air, ascending fast, I see it. The start of a journey. The stars blur, space bends against its will. Time stops, then speeds up. We are jumped to hyperspace.
