The Galactic Republic Senate

I, Draco Vereen, CEO and Chairman of the Board of ArmaTech Combat Systems am of sound mind and body do hereby declare the Hearing against our Prime Minister to be ludicrous and outrageous.

I have become an influential member of the Republic, specifically its Military Industrial Complex. Because of this, I find myself in conflict on interests. Earlier this week ArmaTech hired a new Chief Operating Officer who has taken over day to day operations of the company. I find the current state of the Galactic Republic Senate, personally appalling, on how they have dealt with the past few weeks issues. I would demand change, but demands are not my nature. That said. If one wishes to enact change one must do it themselves. I, effective immediately, am resigning my position within the Galactic Republic Military. This does not mean I will not Fight. Only that I cannot wear the uniform. If you have seen me by your side before, you will continue to see me there.

ArmaTech will honor all contracts with the Galactic Republic Military and continue to support them wholeheartedly. ArmaTech will not, however contact any Senator involved with the current crisis or debacle. We will speak with the Prime Minister herself when she is able to negotiate the supply of new equipment for the Republic.

While I very much appreciate the support and expression of faith in me and my leadership abilities afforded by [member="Draco Vereen"] on a personal level, it is my opinion that the Republic as a whole deserves better than this. I am Prime Minister, but I am not Empress.

As it stands, the Supreme Commander is still solidly holding her seat of command of the military. While I often disagree with the manner of operation [member="Kayleigh Tyven"] utilizes, she is completely capable of her office, and my trial should have no effect on her position.

Thus, I cannot condone the impetuous actions stated here and implore the entirety of the armed forces of the Galactic Republic to keep calm and carry on. This loyalty is admirable and this faith in me flattering, but I am only an element of the Republic, not the Republic itself.
