[SIZE=9pt]At his promotion to Admiral in the Second Fleet of the Silver Spacy, Errreembuhr began using a Tenchu Kai class battlecruiser as the flagship of his battlegroup. Despite successful initial outings with the ship, he almost immediately began drawing up plans for a refit of the ship fitting more along the lines of his preferences. While the primary changes made were to its anti-boarding complement, there was one major change made to the ship that would require an entirely new unit to be designed: the hull.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=9pt]Rather than the classic armor system put into the previous design, the Gaaraddik was designed with the recent proliferation of phrik in mind, and it shows in its hull construction. The entire armor setup of the ship is created using phrik’s extremely potent defensive capacity to its full extent, resulting in an ultimately lighter hull in exchange for a much more protective one. This gives the ship ultimately a much darker look as well than its previous incarnation, giving it a bit more noticeability to the eye.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=9pt]Another major change is to the ship’s internal defenses, where in addition to the clearing of space for five squadrons’ worth of starfighters, complements of both Draagax and Wyyyschokk-series battle droids have been brought aboard with dedicated space and weaponry. Given the number present of both, they also can be utilized for boarding maneuvers as well, with several dropships worth being able to be launched from the ship without sacrificing internal protection. In addition to these droids there are many extra automated weapons included into retractable compartments to be able to utilize when the ship is under attack and take on a variety of threats both organic and artificial.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=9pt]Finally, and perhaps almost as important as the phrik armor plating on the hull, extensive construction of the skeleton is done with nykkalt, a highly vibrative metal that makes the ship practically invisible to electronic sensors. Of course this isn't a true cloaking method, as the ship can be still observed visually and targeted by other methods, it provides a serious defense against enemy ships, especially at longer ranges. As a supplement to this a crystal gravfield system was included in the ship's sensor suite, allowing it to see and track other cloaked ships.[/SIZE]
