Shadows wavered across shapes between the ajar slits of Vereshin's sleeping eyes. Darkness fell over the townhouse as the afternoon grew late and he slept before preparing to meet his client for the day. Curled up on the lounge across from his desk, he jerked involuntarily as the shadows formed arms. Red eyes glowed from their asymmetrical heads and their arms extended into long tendrils which soared towards him from the ceiling and wrapped around his shoulders and neck. Struggling to breath, a sensation of panic caught him between the state of sleep and wake.

Sweat gathered on the back of Vereshin's neck as he fixated in his laying state. He could not move. Terror gripped his struggling form as the abrupt movement of his cat leaping from his legs and onto the floor woke him immediately. With a gasp, he jolted upright and remembered the client he was due to meet. The illusions he conjured took a toll on him psychologically and caused terrifying dreams which often accursed after creating planes to decipher the visions of customers. Struggling to lift himself from the lounge, he pulled his legs over the side and stood on his feet.

Vereshin yawned and made his way up the spiral staircase and into the bathroom. He refreshed and undressed before turning on the shower and sliding in beneath the running water, where he washed his face and shaved. Ana knocked twice and alerted him to the time. After a moment, he turned off the water and stepped on the tiles to dry. He dressed in the clothes he had left and slicked back his hair, rubbing a soothing serum over his dry hands and face. Ana greeted the guest in the entrance corridor and he made his way to the living room downstairs.

When the guest arrived, Vereshin swallowed a gulp and widened his eyes. An enormous Sith Warrior stood in his hallway and towered over him. He could not imagine why such a fearsome individual would require his services. Taking a breath, he gripped the front of his cardigan and tried to maintain his composure. "Welcome, Ignitus, please sit down." Vereshin greeted his guest and turned around to lead him into the living room where he sat down in the armchair at the head of the coffee table.

"My name is Vereshin. You may call me Vi if you like." Vereshin introduced himself, assuming the warrior did not care for tea. He picked up his cat in a protective manner and place him on his lap, where he stroked the black ragdoll repeatedly. "Tell me how I may assist." Vereshin asked, the client's description of his inquiry had been vague and the sorcerer determined to inquire more details. In the center of the table, a large ball of crystal sat in the center, pale smoke swirling inside of the glass. Crystals and stones etched with runes lined Vereshin's desk, along with a human skull and scores of paper covered in rarefied mathematics.

Ignitus stood before the seer his pale white skin distinguishing himself from other Dathomirian. He was wearing his best formal attire that consisted of a fine tight leather jacket with matching pants and boots, average battle gear though he kept it clean and in good shape so as to use it for such times, a powerful brow arched as he looked him over, obviously expecting something different than what now stood before him.

"I trust that whatever is said here will stay between us? Would hate to deprive the Sith Empire of such a renowned seer due to his lack of discretion."

His voice was calm, but his tone carried a deadly promise. He continued to look the mystic over for a moment longer before suddenly falling to his knees and bowing his head to Vi

"I am in need of guidance wise one. All that I have accomplished this far has been for my Fath-"

He cut himself off mid-sentence, pausing a moment before correcting himself

"Has been for my Master. I know he holds his own people above all others, and in this I share his views of Arkanians, they are superior. But I too and of his... His people's blood. Yes a mongrel due to my Dathomirian heritage, but still of the blood. I survived the Dathonmirian coming of age trials as well as the trials set before Sith Acolytes. I have slain a Greater Krayt, defeated two other acolytes at once in combat, but yet still he does not look upon me favorably. Must I seek to replace him as other Apprentices do to gain his approval? Or should I stay the path of devotion to him?"
