The Fruits Of Gifted Minds

Mr. OOC

Deneba.

He couldn't recall having ever been to the world before. That was surprising because he'd been to so many worlds in his time. Then again it wasn't that surprising because the galaxy was so large. Still, a new world. It had been quite a while since he'd been to one. This one, though, was now the home of a new order of Jedi. That was what had drawn his interest. He was not a fan of the New Jedi Order or the Silver Jedi Order because they were far too militant. That seemed a bit hypocritical coming from him, but times had changed. He was no longer the aggressive Jedi that he had been in the past, actively seeking out and destroying Sith and their enclaves. As much as he didn't have a problem with doing that when he was defending himself or others, he was not about to seek them out anymore. This new group seemed more like what he was looking for.

They had a new grandmaster, a woman thrust into the role. By comparison to him she was considerably younger. Then again, he was ancient. Being frozen for a time did that to you. That deep freeze had only served to give his mind time to strengthen and delve deeper into the Force. Which ultimately had led to him being susceptible to the fall. Strength breeds responsibility in and of itself. While he'd been a grandmaster for a time himself, leading the Rogue Jedi Order, he no longer felt worthy of the title. Quite frankly, he wasn't even sure if he knew any of the remaining Jedi in the galaxy. So many had died or just disappeared. Did they even have the numbers to form yet another order?

When his fighter landed, he climbed out, heading for the Temple facility. He figured that if he was going to get involved, the first thing he should do was seek out the grandmaster and get to know her as a fellow Master of the Force. Being as she was new to the position, he could offer her some insight or ideas that would help her along. Provided that she wanted the help, of course. If not, he would politely back off and let her do her own thing. He just hoped that he could provide some support to the fledgling group, strengthen its backbone, and provide assistance when they ventured out on their endeavors. If he understood correctly, they were more about maintaining peace and less about fighting, so he'd probably be useful when someone inevitably tried to attack the peace they helped maintain.

He approached her door, having been directed there by a young Padawan, and hit the chime to announce that she had a visitor, and then he waited for her to answer, provided she was in.

Her head whipped around when she heard the door; she was lost in thought. Following taking up the mantle of Grandmaster, she was pleased with the progress they were making albeit tired; she'd had no time to really sit and recover from the events on Eadu.

"Come in..."

She approached the door, knowing it would sense her movements as she got closer and she remained near the center of the room while her visitor would be allowed to enter. Shifting her weight, she assumed her usual stance as she swayed towards her right with her arms folding over her chest.

Smiling already, she was ready to welcome whomever. Nodding, "Don't believe we met...your name?" she reached out with her hand in order to shake his.

They were getting newer members every other day. Some seeking training, and others just sanctuary. She prided herself on knowing nearly all of the members within the Enclave, and enjoyed getting to know those she didn't.

The woman who opened the door was surprisingly young. He hadn't anticipated that. Jade, was her surname, of that he was aware, but he couldn't recall if he'd been told her first name. It would be inappropriate to make any assumptions other than to speak her title, regardless. He did not know her. The two of them were not previously acquainted, and, unless he missed his guess, she was a relatively new Jedi in the grand scheme of things. She was not of the age group to which he belonged, even though he didn't particularly look as old as he was. Product of regeneration and other things that made up his genetic makeup. All thanks to the Hinata's, who'd messed with their own DNA to bastardize themselves.

Reaching his hand out, he grasped her forearm rather than her hand. It was a more firm bond of trust than a simple handshake, and it allowed him to gauge her surprise at being grabbed. He was, after all, partially Echani and he could learn a lot from her reactions.

"Grandmaster," he said in greeting. "We have not met, you are correct. Would be hard to do so since I've only just arrived."

He would release her hand then and step around her, fingers lightly touching the door controls with the Force and nudging it to shut behind him as he looked around her office. Clearly she was still getting settled, but he couldn't say he blamed her. This was a new order, and she a new Grandmaster. To expect her to be settled in immediately would be folly. After turning his gaze about the room, he brought it back again to her, and looked her in the eyes.

"My name is Kamon Vondiranach, and, before you say anything, yes, I'm the same one who went to the darkside, albeit unwillingly. I am not, however, a practitioner of the darkside any longer, not will I be. On the contrary, I've come to help you with the Order. I thought it might be a suitable place to teach and reflect."

Honestly she wasn't as surprised when he grabbed her forearm instead; he seemed the type. That was all she knew; he seemed more sure of his movements than most. Her eyes ran after him only before she saw the door close, catching her attention to stealing her away for just a split second. Soon she was able to conclude he was the one behind it.

She took a few steps closer, "Unfortunate Master Vondiranach, though it's pleasing to hear that you've overcome the struggle and have come in hopes of teaching...I for one think that makes you a good candidate." she shook her head as she looked for the words, her fingers grew stiff and rigged as she motioned with them for emphasis.

"I believe you can only learn through experience...and there wouldn't be anyone better to teach something unless they've lived through it. We'd be happy to have you..." she smiled.

"Oh" she snapped out of her trance, "I'm Romi Jade..."

"Ahh, Romi. I knew your surname but not your first. A pleasure to meet you."

He finished his surveillance of her and then moved to take a seat in one of the chairs the room had to offer. He didn't believe that she preferred to operate out of her office, but that didn't mean she hadn't set it up so that she could. She was smart and clearly talented, but he did wonder why they'd chosen someone so young for the position of Grandmaster when he was aware there were older, more experienced Jedi around. He supposed he'd have to find out.

His arms remained loosely postured on the armrest of the chair as he sat. Even when sitting he afforded himself the ability to be able to respond to a physical altercation should one occur. He doubted the necessity but it was just part of who he was.

"How much do you know about me, Romi? Did you know that I was once a Grandmaster myself? Granted that was of the Rogue Jedi Order but still pertinent."
