Image Source: Intent: To create a weapon system capable of giving the average person the ability to punch through heavy armor and Yuuzhan Vong armor.
Development Thread: NA
Manufacturer: Arakyd Industries
Model: NA
Affiliation: Open Market
Modularity: Yes can be custom made to match any 5.56 or 7.62 rifle
Production: Mass
Material: Durasteel, slug thrower components
Description:

With the dominance and rise of the Yuuzhan Vong and One Sith it was clear that their superior organic or "super metal" armors it was clear that a weapon system would be needed in order to pierce and destroy armors such as those. And as normal 5.56 and 7.63 bullets were simply not cutting it a bigger round was needed for more destructive force to destroy armor across the board. So the Flamma Weapon System was created to do just that.

What is the Flamma Weapon System? It's a simple mod for any weapon system that fires a 5.56 or a 7.62 bullet. All that is done is remove the upper receiver of that weapon and replace it with the customized Flamma Weapon System. This new upper receiver has been modified with a bigger barrel and a larger ejection port, and this is for one reason. Because the Flamma attachment let's any rifle fire a .50 caliber bullet.

The Flamma is capable of punching through steel plates and organic armors with ease, it can tear through an engine block and stop cars or even light armored vehicles that have plating upwards to 7 mm thick. The Flamma will devastate soft targets however it is useless against tank and walker armor. When outfitted with the Sith Killer round it has the best effects against organic armor due to it's explosive and incendiary nature. This weapon system will absolutely rock the enemy but it does come at a cost.

Weaknesses. Bullet drop is something that we have to deal with, it's a heavier round that travels at a lower velocity. So when your weapon is modified with the Flamma the range will drop anywhere from 25 to 30%. Another big thing is the recoil this bad boy brings, you are firing a .50 caliber round and this means full automatic is just about impossible to do with a average non augmented humanoid. Species such as Wookies can use the full auto fire mode but average vanilla humans will have to stick to semi automatic. And one of the larger problems is the magazine, the average thirty round magazine for a 5.56 weapon when converted to the Flamma only holds anywhere from 10 to 15 rounds due to the bullet's massive size.

But overall the Flamma Weapon System is a great mod for any weapon, Arakyd Industries does accept custom orders for any rifle and will gladly shape one for the right price.

The range drop is reaching a 30% pitfall, which means velocity is dropping nearly by a third, if not more. This means that in ranges that a rifle would be used, those that are meant to pierce heavily armored foes, the velocity of the round that are not sufficient to puncture plating on a tank should not be sufficient to puncture holes in durasteel or higher end armors that far exceed durasteel in its durability.

While I am reading this it appears to be a total-conversion kit, DIY at that, to modify any rifle with the specified barrel size and various other components to create a new .50 caliber rifle with reduced range, far less power behind each shot, and a lessened magazine (the amount is actually roughly the size of a common .50 caliber, so that really isn't a disadvantage or weakness.) How would this work with a rifle that specifically has a notation in its submission that it does not contain any modularity?

If the intent behind this is to possess a line of .50 caliber rifles that are created from any and all applicable sizes mentioned above, then other submissions that use this are heavily changing the contents of their submission and will need to submit their own modification or resubmitted version that utilizes this over its standard equipment to ensure that a rifle that once had 1000 m in range no longer does so, as this is stated to reduce that up to nearly a third. Future submissions that specifically mention this in their modularity sections should also list a difference between their standard stock and this kit being used to compare and contrast the two, such as range before and after the use of this equipment.
