Description:
The Far Star is a custom craft that was designed for use during the 400 Year darkness by the original Tyger Tyger. It was funded by an Imperial Remnant group as a weapon against smugglers and other dissidents believed to be causing continued trouble in the wake of the darkness. To ensure the safety of their investment, as well as continuing to keep Agent Tyger Tyger in disguise as a smuggler, the Imperial Warlord set the ship to be able to passively scan behind the scenes in case the Imperial Agent had company on board and couldn't afford to blow his cover.

To go along with the disguise as a smuggling and cargo hauling ship, all the weaponry on board were concealed from view. The quad laser cannon is mounted above the cockpit and will spring up when the systems are active; proving a full 360 degree firing arc above the ship with a 30 degree limitation on firing at targets below the mount to the fore, port, and starboard. The two concealed laser cannons are mounted above and below the aft section of the ship to provide full 360 degree firing arcs, especially positioned to be able to fire upon any vessels in pursuit.

The concealed surface-defense blaster cannon is mounted underneath the neck/walkway of the ship connecting the fore and aft sections. The blaster cannon is mounted on a telescoping support. This allows the weapon to fire are targets in nearly all available directions and to be lowered far enough to fire to the fore and aft of the ship. This was installed to ensure that informant Tyger Tyger would be able to clear a landing zone of hostiles without ever exposing himself to a threat and to remove any assailants giving chase.

The advanced sensors were in place to allow for flyovers of smuggler dens and other planetary structures to get the exterior layout to relay back to the warlord’s forces to deal with the insurrection. The long range sensors allowed for the ship to detect incoming vessels to make a quick escape if necessary and to allow for greater reasoning to other smugglers as to how the vessel was so effective at evading any imperial remnant patrols.

The other systems on board are designed to help prevent the Far Star from being captured by any crime syndicates, other imperial remnant forces, or other forces across the galaxy. The Shrouds are particularly useful for avoiding capture if the sensors failed to pick up an approaching warship or making an escape from a hostile situation.

The actual cargo capacity took a hit to take advantage of all the sensor systems that were installed with the ship. The excess passenger compartments have been removed and as much space in the aft freed up to allow for more power for the oversized engines mounted on the Far Star. These engines are designed for straight line speed to attempt to outrun anyone coming after the Far Star rather than try and stand and fight against them.

When the last Tyger Tyger disappeared, Markos Nox managed to secure the abandoned craft at auction, intending to one day live a life of freedom and ill-gotten-gains. It never came to pass, family responsibility always taking precedence over his dream of flight. His son, Milo Nox, inherited the ship and the mysteries that came with it. Many of the ships capabilities are still unknown to him though already he has began personalizing it with such trinkets as an old fashion record player. It is the ship of his Odyssey across the galaxy and into the clouded history of the unknowable rogue Tyger Tyger and just what the Far Star was really designed for…
