The Element of Change

Joza had to wonder why Ilum was the go-to for crystal harvesting, especially when it came to Padawans forging their very own lightsaber. Was it the harsh weather and crazy visions that made it more of a rite of passage than an adventure? It couldn’t be for convenience, not when there were places like this around. So far, meandering around the crystal cave situated beneath Immortal Lake proved to be a much more pleasant experience than facing the harsh icy winds of Ilum.

She’d been alone thus far, only a few bogeys drifting by as the Zeltron let the Force guide her. The crystals gave off a light sided energy, something the Jedi would allow herself to grasp onto and sync herself with. It had been far too long since she felt pure. Not that a little dip into a crystal cave could wash away years of uncertainty and code-breaking, but it was a pleasant place to be.

“Hmmm~ You’re pretty.” Rubbing her hand against a brightly glittering azure crystal, Joza felt along its surface. It was smooth like glass, looking as if it had been tumbled and polished by the ocean had it not had sharp edges. It caused her to wonder about how such a thing could grow underground among many different types of crystals, but in the end didn’t ruminate on it for too long.

“Hm?” A tug in the Force alerted her to another presence in her vicinity, green eyes narrowing in immediate curiosity and reflexive suspicion. Was it an energy spider? It didn’t feel like it, seeing as how she’d already dealt with one by nearly walking into it’s web.

Azula was on the infamous planet of Ilum. A world of pure beauty for sure, and with all this ice and snow Azula was in her element...literally. When in a place like this, the master wantershaper was practically unstoppable. Well, she liked to think so. Maybe that was just Veaumbra speaking out, however she certainly felt more powerful. Yet being honest, the godess had no idea of her abilities in the fullest, not since she was reincarnated. Azula was essentially the culmination of four gods and goddesses. The physical incarnation. There was Veumbra, the hot headed fire goddess, Gorlan, the god of stone, then there was Azurnal, the wise one, as well as brash and the god of water, lastly was the goddess of air, Lineana.

The real Azula Feanor was gone, her memory obsolete and even her body was different. For example her hair, previously brown and now silver. Her eyes changing to the color of the god/goddess most present at the time. Currently, they shimmered a burning ember. The color of Veumbra.

Despite loving the snow, this watershaper was not on the beautiful planet just for that. Or so she was told. She was looking for a large amount of crystals, and where better to look than the crystal cave, afterall. So there she was, amidst the cave scrounging for crystals big enough for her friend [member="Nick Imura"], and whatever he needed them for. Probably the unusual and weird alchemy he was always doing.

However, the slightest noise interrupted her. The heartbeat of another. Now this didn't make sense, Azula had felt the padawans much deeper in the cave, not a heat signature for levels. This assured her, the being was clever. And from the image the water around her was painting; she was also beautiful.

With this thought, Azula stepped out into the open. Allowing her to be seen in all her glory, a 5'9, silven haired, particularly beautiful woman. Around 19 years old, and of course a avatar of the Kro Var.

Yet, not so surprisingly, her first words were:

"Hey there, hot stuff." With a wink and a click of her teeth; more likely embarrassing, rather than sexy.

What?”

Joza regarded the woman in front of her with a naturally intense stare, turning to face her fully. While neither were hostile towards each other, the Jedi raised her guard intentionally to the point where it would be noticed. Feeling her Force signature first and foremost, the Zeltron quickly noted the presence of darkness within her. And so silence would fall between the two for a few moments as Joza let her green gaze take in the form of the woman, this time analyzing her complete person.

The first thing she noticed was her striking beauty— the cool tones of her silver hair, eyes smoldering with heat that contrasted pleasingly with her light skin. A unique look for sure, but one that worked on her.

With a tilt of her head Joza moved forward, her steps light and drawn-out while she allowed her eyes to roam along the other woman unabashedly. Dark side meant danger, and danger was something that drew the redhead in. Of course, not all who used the dark side were bad in her books—her closest friend, Nikias was a Dark Jedi, and two of her current lovers were Sith. Even Joza herself had dabbled in some decidedly darker techniques when desperate in battle. She was a far cry from the strict, abstinent Jedi she had tried so hard to be in her younger years.

But oh, playing with fire was too much fun.

“Not your typical greeting, but I’ll take it.” Arms crossed over her chest as she regarded the silver haired beauty in front of her, idly scraping the thick sole of her boot on the cave floor. They were roughly the same height, and Joza guessed that they had to be around the same age, give or take a few years. “You lost?” The Jedi felt a faint smirk begin to curl her lips, but reigned it in quickly. She knew that this woman had not wandered in here by accident.

Azula giggled, typical answer sure. 'Are you lost.' However the Zeltron intrigued her, afterall she wasn't able to meet and greet much with the intense training schedule she had to undergo as avatar of Var. Constantly expected to master all elements yet disregarded of a social life outside of the temple. Her...vivacious attitude was certainly willing to try something new.

She then looked into this girl's eyes, her own flashing a bit of red. Like the red of a burning flame, and easily recognizable. This was Veumbra showing herself again, and it most always meant a radicalist approach to life. This woman though, well frankly she was captivating sensationally. Her scent was oh so delicious. Almost like she had worn the skin of the Raava flowers back on Kro'Kar. Speaking of her skin, such a lovely shade of pink which illuminated off of the crystals in this cave. And her hair, even more so. Simply put, Azula wouldn't mind fondling her for a few moments, and in this mindset, she couldn't be sure she wouldn't.

Her hair specifically sparked a positive reaction in Azula as she had thought of dying her own a pinkish tone before. Out of rebellion perhaps, yet she never had, and she was now recognizing how way off the track of her mission here she had become.

With this in mind, she thought of a reply, and being honest the first thing to flow through her mind was, sadly, 'Yeah, could you tell me how to get to your heart.' However, this goddess wasn't about to be that silly. She needed to take a more serious side in this encounter, as she did represent an entire planet, yet more importantly, a culture. Something so precious no scale or magnitude could suppress its scope.

Her accent was slightly different now, more peaceful, yet still had the feisty edge to it.

"You know what, I happen to not be. Lost that is, yet I find honesty is crucial; so I will tell you the truth. I am simply here looking for crystals, like all the others who come through here. I must say, they are beautiful are they not? It's like staring into the stars..."

As Azula spoke this, a flash of ocean blue went across her previous ember eyes. Lighting past the iris, and turning the whole of the eyes blue for a second. This was Lineana's spirit showing.

“Hm?” The alternating eye colors did not go unnoticed by Joza, and it brought a spark of curiosity to her mind. She’d only ever seen eyes change to that bright yellow she disliked so much when one tapped in to the dark side—something she’d never be comfortable with. How people could live in agony like that, she did not know.

Still, there was something about this woman’s sudden appearance that drew her in—her beauty? On one level yes, but the Zeltron was no stranger to gorgeous women. There was something else here worth her time, and she couldn’t quite put a finger on it yet.

“Yes. The light side of the Force is strong here. I always feel at peace when among the crystals.” Her words rolled out smoothly, as if waiting for the light-haired girl’s reaction. “As do most Jedi.” She had to consciously keep her voice from purring, her eyes from lidding a she spoke. Her eyes drifted down to the other woman’s waist, this time scanning her for any potential weapons. Joza herself had both sabers visible—not one to hide her force-wielding abilities when in the crystal caves.

Extending one hand out with her elbow bent, she reached out in the Force and dislodged a rough, deep blue crystal from the wall closest to her. “What sort of crystals are you looking for? Planning on building yourself a lightsaber?” A grin snaked its way onto her face as she allowed the crystal to hover above her open palm, turning it in the air with soft rotations of her wrist. “Gorgeous, yes. But they have their uses beyond looking pretty.”

A pause, and the grin melted into a smirk.

“Much like I hope you do, dark sider.”

As the words escaped this Zeltron's lips, Azula let her eyes follow her carefully. The personality which this avatar had...was not quite one to let it slide by. In almost an attempt to show off, Azula slightly lodged her foot into the rocky ground and let her hand form into a fist position. With this action, the blue crystal in the light siders hand would combust into a beautiful shining show of dust and lights; that reflected light in a way to appear as though a small galaxy was just around her hand.

Azula then let own her hand fall open, and the dust formed carefully around this mysterious Zeltron's hand. Once it was secure, she let the real hand slowly 'phase' out, or at least that was how it looked. The shaper had then created a scale replica of this woman's hand out of pure crystal. A show of not only strength, but of affection and romance. Azula was always quite the womanizer.

She took her own hand once more, and flicked it until the crystal hand slightly fell into her own, which she then held out.

"If I practice the dark, then why does it seem so light?" As she said this, a beam of light escaped from the cave ceiling and reflected on the hand. Lighting up the whole room. This was not on accident, if Joza was watching carefully she would notice the flick of Azula's foot to create a small hole in the rocky ceiling.

"You can have your hand if you'd like." She said with a thick accent and cute smile, 'handing' it to her.

"And I am, looking for a few crystals actually. I did come here for that one that calls out to me. I mean...if you want we could look together?"

Joza watched with mild enchantment as the crystal disintegrated into a million sparkling fragments, shimmering and flickering around her own hand in a munificent way. A thread of mild confusion ran through her mind, and it took Zeltron a few moments to realize that earth shaping as at work here. Such a precise and controlled display spoke of the woman’s skill in element wielding, which lead Joza to wonder just what else she could do.

And then, the crystal bits coated the Jedi’s own had as if it were sand, fusing and melding together to form a thin glove. How pretty. She allowed the thought to surface, eyes regarding her new adornment with a wondrous gaze. Still, she retained a natural tenseness as this was all going on—who said that this mysterious woman didn’t intend to lull her into a false sense of security for some sort of trap? Joza had been seduced by beautiful women before—a particular blue haired Caprine comes to mind—and while things ended without either of them coming to harm, the then Padawan had nearly been captured by more than just the mystic’s charms.

Tilting her gaze upwards to the hole that had formed in the ceiling, her lips flickered suddenly with a genuine grin before turning back to the other woman. “It doesn’t take that much to impress me, but I appreciate the sentiment.” Accepting the replica hand into her own, Joza shifted it into her robes before returning her smile.

“As long as you don’t try anything too nefarious, I welcome the company.” Her tone was melodic and light, though it did hold a note of warning to it. Though the empath sensed no malicious intent from the white-haired beauty, a Jedi could never be too careful. Emotions could be faked, and Joza had a nasty habit of playing where she shouldn’t.

“I’m Joza,” She offered her own name amidst a half-turn, beckoning her new companion deeper into the glittering crystals with her. “And you must be…an elemental shaper of sorts?”
