  • BRIEF OVERVIEW: The Echoy’la Accords formalize the foundational agreement between the Mandalorian Empire and the Diarchy, establishing a relationship rooted in mutual respect, cultural sovereignty, and pragmatic cooperation. Under the Accords, Echoy’la is recognized as a holy world of Mandalore with unrestricted Mandalorian access and dual citizenship for its people. All beskar mining operations cease under Diarchy control, with existing reserves returned to Mandalore and future mining placed under Mandalorian supervision. In return, the Mandalorian Empire grants the Diarchy neutrality and offers its strength as a retained force for future conflicts in exchange for payment in credits or territorial expansion. The Accords began with the Empire joining the Diarchy in the fight against the Gravesong on Yaga Minor, setting the tone for a relationship built on action rather than promises.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

The Echoy’la Accords were forged in the shadow of the Gravesong War, during the Diarchy’s defense of Yaga Minor against the necromantic threat plaguing the galaxy. Although the Mandalorian fleet stood ready to confront the undead, they refused to act until trust was restored between the two nations. This hesitation was the result of one Zara Saga, a Diarchy agent who had recently attempted to incite rebellion on the Mandalorian world of Taris, shattering any prior confidence between their peoples. It was in this climate that Diarch Rellik opened direct negotiations with Mand’alor Aether Verd, acknowledging the Mandalorians’ decisive actions against the Gravesong on Taris and expressing a desire to formalize a working relationship built on mutual interests.

In their transmission, Diarch Rellik offered the Mandalorian Empire a series of terms: Echoy’la would be recognized as a holy world under Mandalorian protection, its people granted dual citizenship, and unrestricted Mandalorian passage guaranteed. The Diarchy agreed to halt all beskar mining within its territory, returning existing reserves to Mandalore, with future mining operations to occur only under Mandalorian oversight.

In exchange, the Diarchy sought neutrality with Mandalore, ensuring their borders would remain secure, and established a standing retainer agreement allowing them to hire Mandalorian forces for future conflicts, compensated through credits or the expansion of Mandalorian influence to new worlds.

Aether Verd accepted these terms, affirming that the Mandalorian Empire would fight alongside the Diarchy against the Gravesong threat, while making it clear that should the Diarchy break their word, the Mandalorian response would be swift and absolute. The agreement was sealed not with fanfare but with the quiet resolve of warriors preparing for the battles ahead.

The Echoy’la Accords stand as a testament to the Mandalorian Empire’s commitment to cultural sovereignty, economic guardianship, and decisive action in the defense of allies, while establishing the Diarchy as a partner willing to respect Mandalorian customs and strength. This agreement remains the foundation of Mandalorian-Diarchy relations to this day, forged in the fires of a shared campaign against the Gravesong and tempered by the iron will of those who signed it.
