The most astounding quality of The Ebonblade is that it technically is not made of any real material. Instead it is a physical form of the powers bound within Chaos (specifically the Field of Blades). Physical scans come up inconclusive as if the sword did not exist. Yet individuals can sense the blade's presence, light siders tend to even be disturbed and unnerved by it.
Strengths:
Dark Memory: The sword acts almost as a memory bank, memorizing fighting styles, techniques, moves, and really anything having to do with hand to hand combat. as well as failures and the deaths of its previous owners. This knowledge is often passed to whomever currently possesses the blade for as long as they do. Upon their death, or surrendering of the blade, they lose this knowledge.
Shadow Edge: The blade is supernaturally sharp, able to cut into materials similarly to the capabilities of a light saber, all with relative ease. The blade is also unable to be damaged by light sabers.
Gluttony of Spirits: The Ebonblade is capable of absorbing many types of energy (plasma, electricity, and even any force power attempting to influence it) when it comes into physical contact with it. The more energy it absorbs the hotter the blade becomes only increasing its ability to slice and inflict damage. It does however plateau. At its highest output it is even able to cut through beskar and phrik with strong repeated blows.
Weaknesses:
I have a bad feeling about this: Those aligned with the light side of the force are naturally unnerved by the blade within a 50 meter radius. This is never enough to have a serious effect on their morale, but it certainly gives away the sword's presence.
Primitive Speeds: Unlike a lightsaber, The Ebonblade is rather heavy and thus it isn't as easy to maneuver.
Too Hot Can't Stop: If The Ebonblade becomes too overcharged it can burn the user if not protected properly. It tends to act like an intensely hot metal, similarly to an incredibly heated stove or branding iron.
Dark Visions: The user of the blade is often plagued with nightmares of the sword's previous owner's deaths from the perspective of the dying.
Rival Power: Force nullification fields and force light have the potential to weaken the sword's power, reducing its ability to absorb energy, cut through phrik/beskar, and totally resist lightsaber strikes. In this weakened state it can be broken by lightsabers after several strikes. Yet it has the capability to slowly regrow from the hilt when within a dark force nexus.
- DESCRIPTION
What we know for sure is that The Ebonblade fell into the hands of the Daemons within the Daemoni Ignius. It drifted from one powerful daemon to the next in an unending feud for control over the blade and its properties. Flaunting its power, the owners would often head to the Field of Blades to slaughter all in their path. However the last Daemon to own the blade was put to an unceremonious end by Skorov. Skorov had in his possession a leaf of the Thousand-Faced Tree which produced an incredibly powerful poison. All Skorov had to do was turn the leaf into a paste, cover his blade in it, and fight the Daemon. It only took a single knick and then a bit of waiting for the Daemon to lay crumpled at his feet, where he salvaged the blade.
