Private The Dusk Dancers

Location: Tython Jedi Temple
Time: Early Evening

Jedi Robes

Mykel leaned against the balcony, observing the twilight in silence. The sun began to shed its final rays of orange and gold across the evening sky while passing over the horizon for the night, gradually giving way to a field of glittering stars.

Right below him, clusters of domed buildings and arched walkways began to light up with glow panels. He could make out the dark shapes of Jedi moving across the grounds, flashes of colored lights swirling around few - saber training.

The sight filled him with pride, bringing a small smile to his face. Over the course of several months, the vision he and the others had poured themselves had come to fruition. A fully reconstructed temple, and a healed Tython.

However, his smile soon faded as he acknowledged one grim truth at the back of his mind.

Just as soon as Tython had been recovered, it could conquered and desecrated yet again.

The Sith Empire was on the warpath once more, and the Knight could yet feel new instruments of chaos rising in the shadows. It was like a great pack of hyenas had now gathered and encircled the Alliance, coiled on their haunches, ready to pounce.

However, even if war was to come, this was not the time to dwell in dread.

It was time to prepare. To train. To fight. And above all else...

To hope.

Valery stepped out onto the balcony, her boots soft against the stone as the evening breeze caught strands of her dark hair. She didn't announce herself right away, choosing instead to take in the same view Mykel had been watching. The glow of the Temple grounds, the hum of training sabers, the steady heartbeat of Tython beneath it all.

After a moment, she turned her head just enough to look at him, "You've got a lot on your mind," she said, her voice calm but certain in what she said, "I can feel it."

Her gaze swept back out toward the horizon, the faintest trace of a smile touching her lips.

"This place makes it easy to dream big," she added, "But it also reminds you how much there is to lose. Tell me what you're thinking."
