Description:
This armor system isn't worn for the faint of heart nor is it often seen and remembered. Often times once you see it, you're going to see a whole lotta blood and then watch as your hearty band of adventurers or soldiers burst into flames before being cleaved and torn asunder by the dragon lord himself. It's a sign of death, terror, and destruction and many fear the name of it. Steel black and menacing, this armor was constructed entirely by its wearer and none on the battlefield have ever seen the face that lies behind it.

Constructed almost entirely out of beskar and Terentatek hide, Mordecai Zambrano used the alchemization process to forge this very extensive and crafty project. He desired for it to be perfectly customized for himself and without all of that technological nonsense that had been incorporated into the original set of beskar'gam. Whilst the beskar is a solid and durable metal, its properties make it an extremely useful anti-ballistic and anti-energy frame. A modified set of armorweave under the plating itself allows the blasts from energy projectiles to dissipate much more quickly without hampering the top layer of armor.

As for the terentatek hide, it's been blended into an alloy with the beskar plating. This particular hide had been gained from a terentatek ordered and provided by the Beast Hunters' Guild. As an upcoming master alchemist, Mordecai molded the armor to look entirely different from its original design and incorporated the hide's abilities into that of the beskar to fully protect himself from Jedi and hostile Sith alike. Terentatek hide is fully immune to Force based attacks with the following exceptions: Mentalism/illusion, Force-enhanced strength, Telekinetically thrown objects, and other exceptions as reasonable.

It is also worth noting that the original armor system wielded both energy shielding and an active cloaking system. Mordecai, who disliked complicated technology, dismantled and salvaged what he could of those pieces of equipment for later use. He wanted none of those things in his battle armor and preferred to keep it simple and primal, minus a few logical exceptions when it came to his helmet.

The armor itself is very bulky and noticeable. Typically, Mordecai only wears it when battle is imminent or he is riding Rhaegos - his Arkanian dragon. Because of this, mounted warfare is extremely common when facing this Sith Lord and thus he temporarily rights some of his weaknesses. However Mordecai can also be found engaging in personal combat and that is when it's prime time to strike. He is not a fast man - but he makes up for that in sheer strength. Djem So is his chosen art and outmaneuvering the Dragon Lord shouldn't be hard for a knight, maybe even a padawan.

All in all, it's a simple armor system that is designed to fully exploit the strengths of beskar and Terentatek hide while also bearing a great burden on the wearer's shoulders when it comes to speed and agility.

WITHOUT DEV THREADS

WITH DEV THREADS
  • I'd like to see a brief thread where this is reforged or re-purposed, maybe with a bit of Alchemy thrown into the mix, to show off your work and armor. Ten posts should be good.
SUGGESTIONS
  • Beskar'gam is generally between 10kg and 25kg, and though I understand that some prefer heavier armor for whatever reason, it is always an option to drop the weight a little, especially as you've repurposed an older armor by gutting much of it and such.

Armor weight has been edited down to 30kg. I still want this thing fairly heavier than normal to make that main weakness actually plausible. Development thread is also being started tonight. I'll let you know when I'm finished. Thanks for the quick review and professional suggestions and research.
