The Difficulties of Finding a Cult

Rishi

Cantina

"That last incursion you had was a close one." Neivon's employer said. The two of them were having a drink at a Cantina. At least Six-Eyes was. Neivon never found drinking sexy in anyway as it deterred the mind to stay out of focus. And Neivon never was one to be out of focus on his prey. He frowned. He never used to call his targets 'prey', he muttered a curse to himself. Seems his bloodthirsty ways are being more than just that. It seems whatever is happening to him is effecting his speech.

"Neivon are you listening?" Six-Eyes was never this serious.

"S-sure." Neivon gritted his teeth in annoyance, it's affecting his speech all right.

Six-Eyes sighed, he was certainly not pleased. "Neivon, you've seem to have become 'demotivated' these past few days." He finished off his whisky. Giving it to the protocol droid. "Listen, if you need rest, just tell me. It'll be easy for me to get you days off."

Neivon looked at him in annoyance. It wasn't that he wanted to rest, he rarely did that all his life anyways. He just needed... "Six-Eyes, would you might know if the Shadow Guard might still be around?" He needed to improve his abilities with his lightsaber pike. Perhaps there were abilities only the Shadow Guard knew. If we was able to learn them, he wouldn't need to handle such heavy weaponry.

"Sorry but..." His employer checked out goggles. "Oh, there are rumors of a cult wielding pikes floating around Dantooine."

Neivon stood up. "Great, now for me to find them."

The Nautolan grabbed the bounty hunter's guantlet. "Hold it right there. You're going to have to hand over your pike." Neivon was surprised. What for? He reluctantly gave it to his employer. He smiled. "Alright, I'll be refitting your hilt to handle lightsaber attacks. We can't risk anything anymore after that last inscursion." Neivon simply nodded. He headed for a shuttle that was flying to Dantooine. He had his holocom on him in case he needed help. Being on Dantooine out of all places? It was obvious these guys didn't want to be found. But it wasn't like anyone was trying to find them in the first place. Minus Neivon.

Dantooine

The ride on the Shuttle was a peaceful one, it was to be expected, the Majority of the planet was still used for farming, it was a agricultural powerhouse. A perfect place for people to conduct things unnoticed. Neivon didn't know what to expect, or who to find for information besides Six-Eyes. But at the same time he did. He left his armor in a paid locker in the Spaceport. He couldn't bring too much attention to himself. Especially on such a laid back farm planet. He messed with his hair a bit. It felt weird being out of his gear, he felt... lighter. He would need to find information, confirm rumors, what he questioned was if he should try to earn the trust of the people before finding information. Eaves-dropping was another choice. Perhaps he should've hired a freelance operative. This was their expertise. Not his. He left the spaceport, speaking with numerous people about any rumors around. Some spoke of insectoids, others didn't know what he was talking about. A few women here and there flirted with him. He never saw himself to be that handsome. Especially the brutish job he grown to only know how to do. He decided to try farther out, it would require more walking, but his body was built for it.

The multiple farm houses he met thus far actually led him to success. He had to shoot down insects on way, which confirmed 'a' rumor by the people. The people around seemed much more wary around Neivon versus back near the spaceport. It was of no surprise considering the things he attacked. He asked many of them throughout the day of any cults. Although none of them did say they recalled any rumors, the elderly in few of the houses did recall there being people in dark clothing practicing something deep in the woods down east near the mountains. Thanking them, he decided it would be best to go back to the spaceport and gather his gear, it would take him half a day, but he had time. He was given time.

More of the insects were around the deeper mountainous regions of Dantooine. They were proving to be a nuisance to Neivon. He decided to find some holotapes on them. He found some on an insect species, but to his dismay, it wasn't like the ones he encountered. They didn't have red bellies for one. Could they have been smuggled here? Colicoids would've been a good choice, but none of the insect species here looked like a Colicoid. Oh well, their bug problem wasn't his bug problem. So why was he pondering every single thing his way? He'd never done that before, not in childhood, nor when he was a young adult. It had always been about intuition and instincts for him and many of his clansmen. Yet here he was, asking why this sky was blue. Why was this blue? Gah! There he'd gone again.

There was grassland everywhere. And where there wasn't grassland there was sparse woodland around small mountains. How could a cult simply hide themselves around here? It would make sense for an individual but that was the problem. They were called a cult as in a group of people. Neivon decided to use his new found almost completely useless surveying skills in hopes of mapping out a location this 'cult' could've been. He put holocams all over the place, determining a square meter. He needed to find higher ground, he had an entire planet that would need to be explored. It wasn't as simply as a moon, even that though was difficult. Luckily, much of the area around had inhabitants. He just needed to find the places people wouldn't normally live.

He smirked. Maybe these insects could help him. Boy would that be hilarious. He couldn't even imagine these things bringing him to find a lead on this cult.

Neivon

Spirit of the Shadow Guard
He couldn't believe it was the insects. He followed his holocams in the morning. He decided to hitch at one of the friendlier houses with his armor off. They welcomed his company and conversations. Shame anyone was suspicious of 'brutish' bejavior if they wore mandalorian armor. Curse them... they would never understand the culture. All of the holocoms had footage of all of the creatures headed straight west direction four at night. What kind of species does that? He hadn't search all the way west as much as he did the other directions, it just didn't make sense with all the grasslands and barren land around. Maybe this cult knew the best way to hide in plain sight. Or so as it seemed.

Neivon went on the trail, the insects were scattered around again, as usual. It was a good thing and a bad thing in Neivon's eye at how little rest they needed. Then again, they were insects. He continued west until he came upon a huge lake. He must've missed something before, taking his macrobinoculars, he looked around the area. Nothing but grassland to see for miles, he must've traveled really far. He decided to set up another set of holocams again. See what these insects might be traveling to.

He traveled back, returning to the family as he excused his continued trouble, willing to pay them creds. Which was the hospitality card he needed as they refused his money, accepting him to stay with them another day. He helped on their farm, he would've felt guilty if he was stealing from these people without a relative good reason. He smiled to himself as he checked the young plants. He came to the planet at a good time. He heard how it was difficult for the farmers to spot any attacking Kinrath. They spoke to him how they used their glands to ensure their own safety when Kinrath swarms. Neivon frowned. He was half hoping for something to shoot with all the time he spent searching for the Death Guard. Night came and Neivon felt the tug of bloodlust fill him again, he excused himself from the family. He wouldn't have time to get his gear to make the bloodlust much more sort lived as it would mean the death of things much more easily. He was glad these people lived in rural communities, it decreased any chance of harming them in a massive way and getting people from the Tech Union, Alliance, or the One Sith coming after him.

His vision began to fade again as he growled the familiar words in the Dashade tongue. His prey will be devoured this night. He demanded it. But that wasn't Neivon thinking those words.

Neivon

Spirit of the Shadow Guard
Neivon awoke on the grasslands, he gritted his teeth in pain in his right arm, a huge gash. Many of the insects that had appeared on the planet were around him, their own green-bluish blood sprayed everywhere. A graul laid among them. It's arm was ripped off, laying next to the bounty hunter. Neivon was surprised at how many died this time and the brutality of it. It was more than any other time his bloodlust kicked in. Something was off about him. But that didn't matter for now he needed to get his medpack quick before he lost too much blood, there was also the problem with finding this cult he assumed was the descended Shadow Guard. He passed many surprised faces, those who questioned his injuries, he just simply replied with the strange insects being the cause of it. Of course, they asked to help him, and of course, he turned them down. Seems everyone on this planet were kind hearted. Neivon felt sick to his stomach, he was a person with suspicion. Seeing people with so much empathy seemed so wrong to him. Working in the underworld could do that to you. He inferred.

After applying one of his medpacks aand reequipping his armor, he returned west where the insects were herding. He smiled with success as he looked at the move into a concealed place in the ground. It was time to make his move. This was his best source, albeit, not a good one, but it was the only one he had. Activating his energy shield, he began to motion towards the hole the insects went inside.

Neivon

Spirit of the Shadow Guard
Bulbous, thick mucus surrounded the insides of the hole. As Neivon climbed him, the spongy feel of the entrance made him want to vomit. More of the mucus like sacs laid amateurishly around a corridor. It certainly wasn't simply a random dirt-ridden hole. The walls were durasteel and the concrete below his feet felt nice and smooth. There was no erosion of old age in this place. Whoever were here, they certainly left not too long ago. There were still insects ridden in this place. Neivon found it hard to believe so many of them came here around four in the morning. As he got a closer look, these insects' pincers were of a larger size than the ones outside, they were guarding clusters of what seemed to be their eggs. Talk about a successful invasive species. Neivon thought. It would certainly be great if he could learn more about these creatures, perhaps there were datapads or holocams somewhere. He cautiously moved around the hive, trying his best to not disturb these insects. he didn't know what gave him the gash on his arm, but he certainly didn't want to find out.

Neivon stumbled upon a corridor that had the number of egg clusters and insects decreasing in frequency, something must've been in that direction that caused the insects inhability. He neared, a shut door, he didn't want to make sound, but even so, it wouldn't be much trouble killing a good number of these insects. He had his pike afterall. Shooting the lockpad with his blaster pistol, he came upon a room with bunk beds. A horrible stench came to his mouth as he came upon to dead bodies. It seemed the insects were trying to avoid disease. Neivon was sure he could find the information he needed in here, or at least a lead. He smirked as he found just that in one of the cabinets. It was a series of datapads inside. They were all neatly put together minus the last three. It would be a nuisance for him to look through all the datapads, but surely they could have a lead on his whereabouts.

Neivon

Spirit of the Shadow Guard
Neivon took out the first holodisc, putting it in a player to let it play. A women came on with the same coat with the insignia of the One Sith like the rotting skeleton in the room. She appeared excited, standing in the foreground while people in white suits were opening something from the ground. Could it have been this place?

"Today, we've found what seems to be an abandoned facility. Our radars were able to find it's strange frequencies. The origin of who resided here is still unknown. So many wonders, so many mysteries!" The women was excited alright. "We'll need to examine any bioactivity that might be going on in here before we can go inside. We've sent hovercams to check the area, make sure it's secure and that no radiation is present in its atmosphere. Once that is done, it'll be safe to enter."

Neivon continued watching the holodiscs, they were filled with information he couldn't use. The state of this facility, old writings Neivon couldn't see. The only thing that really peaked his interest was how at day 13, they spoke of a type of discovered artifact in the place they called, "CVP-11023." Whatever it was, Neivon needed to read on if it could help him find these cultist, he could hopefully improve his stance on the field of battle. Get more experience. He started to look through more of the holodiscs, something on its whereabouts must be here somewhere.

Neivon

Spirit of the Shadow Guard
Neivon continued through the piles words these datapads were turning into. He felt like the dialogue was getting larger everyday. Turned out the artifact they found had the ability to combine things that are incompatible as long as a certain ritual was performed. They got a Sith to help, blah, blah, blah. Explained why all these insects were here, blah, blah blah. It didn't matter to Neivon despite the fact he was feeling relieved from the lack of knowing things even the residents didn't know of. He looked towards the deceased women's body. This, this was the reason he never tried to fiddle with forbidden knowledge, it'll get you kill some day or another. It seemed their little 'experiment' got out of hand and terrorized their entire lab, turning into a hive queen and they themselves retreated into this bunker. Becoming their grave. It wasn't of Neivon's concern of the bodies' condition. Let 'em rot.

He left the bunker, none of the insects seemed to care to enter the room even as he stood there. But now he had a reason to kill off these retch alien abominations. He went for his back, forgetting he didn't have his lightsaber. Blast, He thought. Inside, he pulled out his silenced blaster and grappling hook. He aimed the hook at one of the nests, shooting it through one of the insects along with a cluster of eggs. Suddenly, roared and shrieks were heard throughout the facility. They were a hive mind alright. Iniating his energy shield, he began to fire rockets as enough of the insects cluster up with each other. Some of them shot their spit at him, proving to be acidic, but not potent enough to melt through his armor. He pillaged his way through the insects into the research room. In one of the holovids, he noticed the Sith who helped them on their project escaped on his own. If he could find the coordinates of the Sith he would be in the ball park. Neivon stomped again on another cluster of eggs, but instead of a chorus of gurgling screams, only one could be heard. The queen. He thought to himself. He was going to need to buy a electrostaff before he left this planet. He missed killing things up close and personal.

Neivon followed the noise of the queen, squashing egg after egg. And as if it couldn't be anymore obvious, a huge gapping area, with the largest amounts of the green mucous around. The queen was dead center in the middle. A truly disgusting horror. A hybrid of Colicoid and Laigrek. Those One Sith folks really didn't know what they were doing. It looked like a freakish maggot, it's wings torn and too small to fly. It's legs look all the same. Neivon sweared anyone could've mistaken it for a Hutt gone insect. But those weren't the most disgusting of things from the creature.

"Here to slay me as you did my servants, Human?"

It could freaking talk.

Neivon

Spirit of the Shadow Guard
Neivon's natural instinct was to reach for his pike. Which he didn't have... He instead went to hold up his blaster, finding a swab of mucous flinging it from his palm. The trajectory was too quiet for Neivon to even register it.
"I won't allow you to stop the hive. We must live on." Neivon though he saw a wicked smile cross the monstrosity's face. If he had his pike... He charged the creature in a rage, he needed to allow his bloodthirst to boil, he could do things he never thought was. Such as last night sadly enough. But even so, he should've died from the amount of things he had killed last night. At least with the primitive brutality he came to feel. He tried to bring out the feel of bloodthirsty anger, he thought he felt it boil, but nothing happened. It always came to his mind that might've happpened. Oh well.

Suddenly, the creature let out a gurgling roar. Damn, Neivon was taking too much of his time monologue, it was time he finished the brood mother off. He shot his grappling hook, effectively piercing the creature, yet not killing it. The beast let out a scream of surprise.

"Looks like the larvae has more than just a mouth." It said. "Too bad you'll never leave out here alive. I've sent a pheromone, designed to call upon my children to assist me for the hive." Neivon looked at the slimy thing. They certainly were overconfident with them selves. Neivon still had a thermal detonator, at the ready to shut up anymore resistance. Neivon kicked the critter, ripping his hook out as he rocketed far from it. The queen hissed at him, shooting a volley of spit towards Neivon's way. Neivon rocketed off, quickly getting out of harms way. He heard the familiar hiss as the room started to fill with insects. He felt for his grenade as he charged the brood mother.

"There's no hope, human. You shall not stop my hive." Neivon watched as the brood mother used it's pitiful wings to fly clumsily in the air. So much for plan B. Neivon run in a corner of the room, hearing the queen unexpectedly laugh. Since when could a creature laugh? Neivon looked on as the quick movements of the insects swarmed him. He pushed through them towards the middle. He couldn't mess this up. He already knew how heat-resistant his body was, even if he would still retain a few scratches.

Finally, as the insects swarmed him from all directions a quick beep was sounded as an explosion of fire shot out around the insects swarming Neivon. The queen looked out in surprise, seeing her prey free from her servant's grasps. With a screech of fury, it launched itself towards Neivon, only to arch back as the Bounty Hunter shot a flurry of fire from his flamethrower at all sides, finishing off any remaining insects. He looked on towards the brood mother. She smelled a different hormone coming off of him. A... different smell. She wasn't able to figure it out as Neivon screamed a battle cry in Dashadi, ending the brood mother with just his fists in the most brutal manner as possible.

Neivon regained consciousness, finding himself beating down on the Queen. He jumped back in disgust, wiping off the green slime of the insects' remains. He never knew one could hate bugs so much.

Neivon

Spirit of the Shadow Guard
Neivon picked up his blaster off the ground. Parts of it was falling off back into the acidic spittle. With a muttered curse, he threw his blaster on the ground. Seemed he was more than lucky that he wasn't directly hit by that thing. The bounty hunter looked back at where the body of his fallen foe laid. Anyone would have to look closely to see it was in fact an insect. The face and body was too distorted for the naked eye. Neivon walked back to the body, kicking it with one furious blow. That blaster cost him his family. At least they died still as his family. Neivon stood there for a moment, taking in gentle breaths. Who knew finding a cult was going to be this frakkin' difficult?

The bounty hunter strolled to the largest holoterminal in the room. It took him a while as he cleared as much of those retch insect's goop from large computer. There were all kinds of buttons everywhere, but it wasn't his first time dealing with this kind of computer. It only took him a series of numbers to turn it on. The problem was he didn't know its password. Remembering Six-Eyes, he took out his holocom, contacting the Nautolan. Although Neivon couldn't see anything, he heard a series of crashes and grunts of pain come off the other side. Finally, the blue hologram of his employer came on.

"Neivon!" The Nautolan said in quite the suspicious tone. "Is there anything I can help you with?" Typical Six-Eyes, always doing things behind Neivon's back. The bounty hunter never knew what was so wrong of the Nautolan to not tell Neivon of the things he does for more than one of their missions. It was still hard to believe he had connections with Siths. That was absolute suicide.

"Look, Six-Eyes, do you think you can hack into this computer and identify a couple of people for me? Specifically a Sith?"

“A Sith?” Nautolan eyed Neivon suspiciously – which was ironic considering the amount of things Six-Eyes does himself. “I thought you were searching for the Shadow Guard?”

“They likely left this planet, there was this abandanoned facility and – look, could you just track the information of the people from this computer?”

Six-Eyes heaved a sigh, hacking into the data Neivon sent. “The Sith’s name is Lord Bejdu, commonly known for his immense contributions for the One Sith Reclaimation Teams. He currently has a conference with some prominent archaeologists on a cruiser known as the Gjallarhorn, I can send you the coordinates.”

Neivon checked his datapad, the coordinates appeared on his screen. How did Six-Eyes know how to track his datapad? Why is he questioning it? The Nautolan was a slicer for Pete’s sake. “Any recommended approaches to the ship?”

“You? Looking for Advice?” Six-Eyes shouldn’t be surprised that disception and stealth wasn’t Neivon’s cup of tea. Then again, the two of them mainly talk of business over anything else. “Well... the area is unauthorized to anyone else during certain hours. You’ll have to try and get on through a tourist cruiser. Not sure how you could get on the ship with all that equipment. Another option would be just to highjack a stealth ship. There’s plenty of them on Nar Shaddaa if you prefer that option. I’ll send you the coordinates for Nar Shaddaa.”

Neivon looked at his ruined blaster. He was going to need new equipment. “Thanks, Six-Eyes for the information, you’ve been a huge help.”

The holographic projection of the Nautolan waved its arms impatiently. “Ya, sure, can I get back to my work now?”

Neivon disconnected. He picked up his blaster, carefully cleaning it. Seemed option B would be his best bet. There’s no way he was going to use subterfuge to get on the Gjallarhorn. Besides, he needed new equipment. And what had the best black market weapons in the galaxy? Not Nar Shaddaa, but it’ll have to do.

Neivon

Spirit of the Shadow Guard
Nar Shaddaa

Nar Shaddaa seemed to change drastically since the last time Neivon was here. Wasn't the Techno Union regulating things around here? It was probably best to ask a protocol droid on his way to the Promenade. He really needed to read about things that are happening around in the galaxy. One day his lack of understanding things will bite him in the butt. The spaceport certainly changed. Even the shuttle on his way here was more empty than it usually should be for a Ecumenopolis. What ever was happening on this planet, it going to be important for Neivon to gear himself up. It was never recommended for anyone to ever be without a blaster especially in such a crime infested place.

As Neivon left the docking bay, it became apparent that multiple fights had taken place in the spaceport. Blaster residue was on the wall, and in some other places, fights were obviously more frequent than other places. What was going on in this blasted place? Luckily for Neivon, it seemed the taxi droid who has a taxi to the Promenade hadn't been affected by whatever was going on. Or at least that's what Neivon hoped.

"Droid, do you have any recollected history of what is going on here?" Neivon needed information, and who better to ask for the such than a droid?

"Ah! A customer? What is it you like to know?" Seemed the droids here were capable of more than just acting as a taxi system. But that should already be expected.

"What's with all the infighting in this place?" Even the usual taxi system itself seemed lacking of any people.

"After the Techno Union's fall, many prominent gangs have been fighting for control of the moon. The disagreements have resulted in these in-fights. Due to this, we had to close many of our taxi routes. It's a very pretentious situation, sir. Anything else you like to know?"

"No thanks, I'll take a taxi to the Promenade."

"Have a safe and pleasant stay," Of course it was the blasted gangs. At the same time, it worried Neivon if he could find the weaponry for himself. Not only that, but it now came to question, why was there so many stealth ships here anyways? It's ironic it wasn't really fearing his safety inside the taxi service or the irony of the Droid's dialogue. But of course, they're programmed to say stuff like that.

Neivon was at least glad to see most of the Promenade remained in tact. He wondered who was controlling this section to make sure it stayed the way it was. Or if it was just a frakking agreement made by the gangs for a "neutral" territory. Either way, Neivon wasn't disappointed that he wouldn't have much of any trouble as he would make his way to The Gjallarhorn. The bounty hunter traveled towards the lower Promenade. If any part of the place had weaponry, the Lower Promenade would be it.

Neivon

Spirit of the Shadow Guard
The place was so much more eerily quiet than when Neivon first remembered of the place. Why was the Upper Promenade so bustling while the min center where there should be markets was quieter than a sleeping Drall? Neivon needed to be cautious, he needed weaponry and Nar Shaddaa would be knocking two birds with one stone. With no other alternatives available, Neivon took his sensors. There seemed to be things going on in the even lower levels of this place. He took out his hovercams, hoping they would find the elevator as he looked around. There were remnants of abandoned markets keeps. Destroyed shelves and broken registers. Something did indeed happen here.

Neivon's droids were able to find to find an elevator, too concealed for the naked eye to find it. Neivon looked around. There was no sight of anyone following him, no readings either. Entering the elevator, he began to plummet to the even lower sections of the Promenade. The elevator was dully lit. As it open he was greeted by a crowd of blasters, all ready to greet his face.

“How’d you find this place, Bounty Hunter?” A rather large Nikto spoke to him in Huttese. He wasn’t wielding a blaster like the others. Neivon assumed he must’ve been in charge of whatever operation they have going here.

“I’m a bounty hunter, what would you expect?” It wasn’t even troubling for Neivon to find such a place, it was so easy to find anyways.

The Nikto’s eyes stared at Neivon in annoyance. “Wrong answer.” With a wave of his hand, the clicks of blasters readying was sounded. Neivon was feeling a bit nervous, glad they wouldn’t be able to detect this emotion from him.

“I’m interested in buying some goods, how's that for an answer?”

The Nikto didn’t seem impressed. “And what goods do you plan to buy?”

“Weaponry.” Giving specifics wouldn’t do Neivon any good. The Nikto seemed to understand this.

“Alright then,” With another way of his hand, the people guarding the elevator broke away. Going back in their posts. Neivon stared at them for a moment, then following the Nikto. “These gang wars have been bad for business, y’know?” The Nikto said. “Luckily, I’ve alone been able to organize things where they run more smoothly. Everyone’s here under the agreement of making money.”

If that’s so… “Well how are you making money if have to watch practically everything?”

The Nikto smiled devilishly. “I specialize in ‘certain’ armaments. All kinds of things, really. And guess who buys these armaments?”

It was blatantly obvious. “What the shop keepers and guards use were bought off of you.”

As the Nikto arrived as his shop, he looked back. “For the most part.” He said. “Now, what would you like to buy?”

Neivon

Spirit of the Shadow Guard
The electrostaff and C-300 blaster pistol felt awkward in Neivon's hands. Wanting a blaster with more power and stability, it was the best one by value and such from the others he tested out. He had plenty of credits to spend anyways from all the money he got from Six-Eyes occasionally and other part-time employers. As for the electrostaff: it was the closest thing he was going to get for defense. Force pikes aren't exactly common and can't really be used as a good offense. Electrostaffs on the other hand are pretty similar in the way they're used like other pole-staff heavy weapons. It cost him quite a lot considering it was made of Phrik. He was going to face off against a Sith Lord after all. Better to equip yourself instead of not at all.

As he left the underground, he could fully understand why they abandoned the place. There was blood and blaster bolts everywhere already. numerous maintenance droids were cleaning up the mess. Many of them groaned unexcitingly.

As Neivon got out of the Taxi back at the spaceport, he could see that the place was entirely clean. It only meant that he stepped out of his shuttle just when a battle concluded. He was feeling quite lucky at the fact at all these incursions he's been able to evade for now. But it was best to get off the planet before anything else happens.

Following the coordinates Six-Eyes gave him, he came upon a private hanger, wielding numerous ships, all which looked too generic to be stealth ships. But this was probably what the Nautolan spoke of. It made sense to make the ships not sexy in style like most Stealth-heavy ships. There were already people here, perhaps it would be best for a stealthy approach.

"Hey you! Whaddaya doin' 'ere?"

Too late for that.

An angered man came up to him, a datapad was in one of his hands and a blaster in his other. Certainly not friendly. But who would with all these gang wars going on?

"Do ya 'ave an appointment 'ere 'o somethin? Cause if ya don't, ya betta leave." Neivon couldn't quite put his accent, but that really shouldn't be of concern here. Either way, going subtle wouldn't cut it.

"Sorry, I don't chat with my targets." Before the man could scream, Neivon froze him in carbonite. Others in the room certainly heard him, as he starting hearing the upholstering of blasters and the running of feet. Subtlety was certainly a no. Rocketing off, Neivon took out his electrostaff, quickly disarming and stunning the other smugglers, freezing them in carbonite. "Sorry," The bounty hunter said. "But I'm going to have to borrow one of your ships. I promise I'll get it back to you once I'm finished." Neivon faced the frozen smugglers, as if awaiting a response, then going off into the smallest of the vessels, as if he received a yes from them. If those frozen in carbonite could even speak in the first place.

Neivon

Spirit of the Shadow Guard
Neivon didn't knew a starship could feel so soothing. The deeps hums and clicks that were heard around the ship had a kind of calming elegance to it. The soft sounds truly helped Neivon relax on his way to The Gjallarhorn. Up until now, his experiences were very stressful. The insect swarm on Dantooine, the gang fights on Nar Shaddaa. What’s next? Are ancient creatures going to come to life on this museum starship thing? Neivon sighed, looking out the window as space slowly moved around him. The bounty hunter was truly taking his time with this. He would need to refocus in the first place. But even so, he couldn’t dawdle for too long. There were pirates out in space and they love to loot things. No matter how small they were.

Neivon rechecked his coordinates, making sure everything was accurate as he sent the cargo ship into warp drive, travelling towards The Gjallarhorn. It was a good amount away from Nar Shaddaa. It was located in deep One Sith near a planet called Reecee. Neivon thanked there was autopilot on such a small cargo ship. As he turned in on, he got out of his seat, looking where the equipment he brought was. It was thanks to Neivon’s blasted timing that he was going to have to wait even longer as it was the time of day tourist viewed the ships many museums. Luckily, it meant the ship’s guard would be lowered as it expected a large vessel to come.

Neivon looked around the ship hoping he didn’t forget anything, he passed corridors more than once to make sure he wouldn’t leave anything behind. Feeling he had everything, he went back to the cockpit, disengaging autopilot as he slowly flown the cargo vessel underneath The Gjallarhorn. He check beneath the ship, trying to find the trash shoot. He had to be extra careful not to let the ship move too fast to make noise, no one ever designed ships to truly have a minimum speed. A flaw that had always irritated Neivon. As the bounty hunter finally found a trash shoot, he stopped the ship’s movement, checking the time to see when their tourist would leave.

It was almost time.

Neivon

Spirit of the Shadow Guard
Even for an experienced hunter, it was absolutely revolting for Neivon to have to climb up the trash chute. Shooting his grappling hook near the top of the shoot, Neivon began to slowly ascend through the garbage. It was considerably large, even for a trash shoot. The bounty hunter felt sick to his stomach, trying to imagine why such a large chute was needed. He planned for the shoot to be smaller. Where he would've needed special equipment to get inside. Oh well, at least his oxygen tank didn't go to waste. As neared the top, he nearly slid off of something no one would even recognize as food. He prepared himself for any maintenance droids tending the sewage of waste. A sonic disruptor, a tool that should keep them long enough stunned for Neivon to get passed them into the main hall. Blast, he really was using the stealthy approach. Too bad he didn't have much assistance to just simply blow up the place.

As Neivon exited the chute, he was met with the clicks and beeps of multiple droids. Using his disruptor, he ran passed the droids and the horrible stench around the place. It was no wonder guards never dreamed of watching here. The place smelled absolutely disgusting. And Neivon visited some slums in his time.

Neivon climbed out of the waste site, entering the grand halls and corridors of The Gjallarhorn. Archaic pieces shone across the walls. Fossils, statues, vases, and all kinds of other pieces of old junk. This was the right place alright. It was no time for subtlety, there was little to no place to hide. Whatever opposition he would face. He would just have to deal with it. Or maybe…

The vents.

The vents could provide ample cover, it also meant he could actually use the equipment meant for the trash chute. Neivon looked around quickly, seeing that the coast was clear, he grappled up towards a vent, conveniently right above the garbage dump. The bounty hunter drilled through the hole, anxious for it to be opened before someone saw him. He felt it weaken, quickly opening it and entering inside the cool vents just as soon as he heard footsteps. Neivon truly was having quite the week.

Neivon

Spirit of the Shadow Guard
The vents were nothing like the trash chute, they certainly weren’t designed for a bounty hunter to go through them. Neivon almost chuckled at this thought, remembering he was deep in enemy territory. He continued to skid around, halting as he came to multiple airways in the vents. He struggled to get his hovercams in his pack, breathing heavily as he got them. Shame he always was one for waiting. It felt like a nuisance to Neivon, no matter how natural it came to him. As he wired the hovercams and sent them off, he also struggled to pull out a holoprojector from his pack. It would show everything that was going on in his surroundings with the hovercams. There was no sign of any scientists or even the sith anywhere. Just guards and officers, although one did catch Neivon’s eye. It was a Zabrak. He didn’t know why and dismissed it as he continued eyeing through the cams looking for where this sith or better yet the relic was. He frowned, coming onto both of them in what looked like a lab. No doubt they were trying to unlock whatever power it had. Neivon had to stop them, he felt the Relic was his only way of finding whatever remained of the Shadow Guard. Neivon directed his hovercams to come back, knowing with full knowledge someone might picked up the signal.

He moved through the vents with new-found energy, although he was still trying to not make any noise. As he got to the opening of the lab, he decided to ease-drop. What was there motive with that device? He already learned about how it could make non-compatible species, compatible. Could there be other secrets they were trying to find? A sudden beep was heard in the lab, Neivon jumped, looking down into the ventilated hole.

“Eureka!” It was one of the scientists. “I think we finally done it. Imagine all the potential Sith Species that could be made. All the exposure. That certainly sounded more than just excited, their statement had a mix of ambition and insanity in that.

“Of course, it was after all, thanks to me Dr. Wado that any of you were even able to unlock it potential in the first place.” That was the Sith. No doubt feeling high of themself.

Neivon was feeling that it was probably best that he interrupted them now, he couldn’t afford letting something that heinuous leave this place. Definitely not after that blasted encounter with that corrupted insect species. He felt fury rise in his stomach, remembering his now melted blaster. Shame he had to sell what was left of it. But the fury didn’t fade, it grew actually. His bloodlust began to boil. Then, in an instant, he growled something in Dashadi, surprising the scientists and Sith below as he jumped down through the vents, with little to no problem.

“Upal pallesay ricktictic chaw.”
“All will fall.”

Neivon

Spirit of the Shadow Guard
What seemed to be Neivon pulled out his electrostaff. Swinging left and right with incredible speed, taking down the scientists one by one. The Sith Lord looked on, almost unimpressed with the display. Even so a smile crept upon his face. Not bothering with the fact that every single scientist in the room was being slaughtered. He even was clapping as Neivon done so, speaking as ‘Neivon' impaled the last scientist.

“Tell me, how did you learn the ancient language of Dashadi?” The Sith Lord had his hand to his lightsaber, despite how openly interested he was in Neivon.

“Little Sith, I don't care for these curiosities you yield. But you will fall.” Neivon regained consciousness as his chronic bloodlust faded away. Without warning, he quickly zoomed the electrostaff from the Sith, sending off a rocket instead. The Sith was obviously surprised by this change in display, attempting to deflect the hit only to find himself being pushed back. The Soth was laughing.

“And here I thought I could read you. It's almost as if you were two different people. A dark construct form over the Sith into a spear like shape. “I won't make that mistake again.” With a wicked smile, the Sith threw the construct towards Neivon. He didn’t have time to deflect the hit, desperately putting up an energy shield only to find the spear dissipating, with only Neivon's chest stinging a little. Both the Bounty Hunter and Sith Lord stood in surprise.

“What the…” Neivon muttered. Shaking his head he dismissed what happened. Remembering his force resistance. Could this be what it meant to resist the force? Neivon charged the Sith, arcing his body as he threw down a smoke grenade. In quick response the Sith summoned a force whirlwind, dissipating the area, his lightsaber humming a bright red.

“I'm through with these games, Bounty Hunter. “ The Sith shot a nearby alarm with an arc of lightning, focusing his dark energies on his lightsaber as he leaped at Neivon. Neivon responded by holding up his electrostaff to block the impending blade. The blades clashed, the Sith exerting the force, trying to knock down Neivon. Neivon did another twirl as he sent one of the heads of the electrostaff directly towards the Sith, the Sith tried a force push, with mild success. Neivon quickly recovered from the weakened blow by jumping into the air, assisted by his jetpack, attempting to send the staff down at the Sith again. The Sith dodged expertly, blasting the doors of the lab open as he grabbed the relic and ran away. Neivon had no choice but to follow, finding resistance from guards, quickly taking them down with heat seeking missiles and rubble from ruined artifacts Neivon shot at. Curse force sensitives and their blasted force speed, Neivon thought. His jetpack could hardly keep up, there weren't many good places to even grapple from minus a couple of turns around the corridors. Neivon realized this Sith must running to the front of the capital ship, no doubt guards and officers were at his side by then. Neivon reactivated his shield, grabbing his blaster. There wasn't no time like the present to take down these guys. They truly were poorly equipped with fighting indoor invaders. And Neivon wasn't about to leave without that relic.

Neivon

Spirit of the Shadow Guard
Neivon shot down a couple of security droids. He assumed due to the droids absence that this ship didn't have any. But then again, it was always the standard to have droids capable of fighting. Many of the droids were gathering near the front of the ship. He couldn't simply go head on. What he now assumed was a different person sharing his body did damage enough for this. Neivon threw down a thermal grenade, watching some of the more numerous yet poorly equipped droids blow in smithereens. The more bulky droids sent their own grenades towards Neivon's direction, cracking the weaker parts of his armor. He gritted his teeth. Damn that Sith, damn himself, damn it all! Neivon took himself away from his cover, rocketing towards the nearest droid with his electrostaff, disabling it and taking off for the next. Soon, every droid laid damage or short-circuited at his feet. He kicked on of them. If these guys want to play games, Neivon will follow. Locating the nearest vent, Neivon blasted it open. Crawling inside as headed for the front of the ship, he wasn't going to let it be anyone's day but his. He will find this blasted cult and no one, not even Sithy boy, will stop him.

The bounty hunter checked his holorecorder, checking to see if any of his hovercams previously found the cockpit. He smiled as he confirmed that one of his hovercams indeed found the place. Time for some mayhem. As Neivon arrived to the location, he looked out the vent, numerous officers, guards, and poorly equipped droids were in the room. He had no choice but to throw detonite in the room, detonating it as soon as it was not damaging enough to Neivon. Recovering from the blast, he found a powerful force pulling himself with little to no care from the vents into a damaged wall.

“Fool!” It was the Sith, rage was boiling from him. “The ship will explode thanks to your ‘endeavors', why are you so willing to get yourself killed?” Neivon didn't respond, but it seemed the Sith didn't want him to, forcing screaming as he drained one of the half-dead crewmembers, healing himself in the process. The Sith leaped at Neivon, the Bounty Hunter struggling from exhaustion to parry and defend himself from the ever growing blows from the Sith. He really was going to die here. And it was his first actual incursion with a Sith. He knew now why Six-Eyes worried about his form. He wasn't truly prepared for such a fight.

“Die! Die! Die!”, The Sith howled like an animal, and just as he finally knocked Neivon's weapon from his hand, preparing the death blow, a single sound stopped him and his life. Neivon watched with exhaustion as the Sith fell, the eyes of fury fading to be replaced with a clam demeanor, something you rarely see in Sith. A Zabrak in One Sith uniform stood before him, his blaster pistol smoking from the shot he just took.

“I’m gonna die for this…” The Zabrak muttered. He then looked back at the Bounty Hunter. “Do you think you can stand up?” Neivon simply stared at him, questioning the action this red-skinned man just did. It could mean treason within the One Sith Empire for him.

Neivon slowly stood up, locating and picking up his electrostaff and the relic previously in the hands of the SIth Lord. He looked towards the pondering Zabrak. “Got something in mind?”

The Zabrak responded in a hasty manner. “Follow me, the ship is going to explode, there’s a couple of Scout Ships that we can use.”

“Scout Ships?” Neivon didn’t know a research focus heavy Capital Ship would be equipped for them.

“Yes, for scientific exploration, now follow me!” Without another word, the Zabrak ran off. Neivon reluctantly followed him. His brain was still trying to make of the events that just happened in from of his eyes. Why had this Zabrak killed someone on his side? Neivon was beginning to assume he must’ve been an assassin. And a really good one to get on board something that wouldn’t dare let anyone who even looked menacing on. But even with these assumptions, it probably didn’t tell the whole story.

”Who are you anyways?” Neivon couldn’t seal his curiousity any longer. He wanted to know. The entire situation was just… unexpected.

“Might come to a surprise to you but.” The Zabrak cut off his sentence as he jumped over the remains of a security droid. “But I’m a One Sith Officer. Captain Oegom’s the name. Oegom Raxcetl.”

The two gotten into the hanger bay, parts of the ship were exploding everywhere, ventilation systems broken, sending off huge wisps of air into the atmosphere, it was truly Armageddon. Neivon stared at it all, ships were missing, people and droids laid dead or dismantled. Neivon could only hope this wouldn’t get himself on the One Sith’s wanted list. He done plenty of things for them in the past. Perhaps the death of one sith wouldn’t be too conflicting for him.

“Over here!” The Zabrak yelled at him, directing him to a couple of Scout Ships, versus other ships, they seemed to be the most here, ironically enough. Neivon hopped into one of them, the Zabrak in the other. Neivon and his rescuer took off into space. He looked back at the Capital Ship, it continued to explode, being on the verge of blasting in two. Neivon was safe, but… he didn’t felt like it at all. Not one bit.

Neivon

Spirit of the Shadow Guard
Neivon leaned back in the One Sith Scout Ship. Autopilot was now on as he cruised through space. Neivon was fiddling with the relic now in his hands. He knew how much in debt he was in with that Officer. The Zabrak even risked his life for him. What was his name? Oegom? He'll certainly try to find him after this is over, and formally thank him. Neivon felt his stomach twist painfully. The Zabrak had done something honorable for Neivon. Neivon the bounty hunter, the hired gun, the low life, the dishonored. The dishonored. He pounded a fist on his lap. Damn it all...

Now Neivon needed to learn how to use this as a beacon to get to whatever remained of the Shadow Guard, he knew we was going to need help, maybe the institute in Obroa-skai might be able to help or Six-Eyes himself, the Nautolan seemed like he knew just about everything if it was recorded.

Just as Neivon was pondering all of this, he received a holocall, at the same time, he felt a shockwave through space. The Gjallarhorn must've been no more. Neivon checked his comm, it was Six-Eyes. "Everything alright, Six-Eyes?" The Nautolan wouldn't simply interrupt Neivon for no reason without Neivon giving a heads up himself.

"Neivon, are you fit to fight?" The bounty hunter knew his employer could see his damaged armor and the smoke and residue amongst it.

Neivon nodded. "Sure, once I get enough sleep and fix up my armor I'll be good to go."

"Alright then, after you've done that, there's a couple of errands I need you to run, a couple of crystals."

There goes Six-Eyes, acting suspicious as usual. What did the Nautolan need Crystals for? Better not be Stygian, Neivon was in no mood to go through the trouble of getting Stygian.

"On it Six-Eyes," Neivon was as enthusiastic as a young boy being forced to fight a Manka Cat. "Send me whatever information you have on anything particular."

"Glad to hear it Neivon!" Six-Eyes chirped. "Sending information to you now."

Neivon looked at his datapad, brimming with new information as the holocall ended. M'haeli. Speak with the natives there, do not engage the human government. Great. Thought Neivon. Leave it to Six-Eyes to find a place no one bothers with.
