The Devil Went Somewhere, but not Georgia

Coruscant
It had been such a while since she had been on Coruscant. Kaelan had last been far from this planet.. possibly she had entered the wrong coordinates.. or her ship was starting to go delusional with all of her traveling around the galaxy. She didn't think they got homesick... did they? After landing her ship, Kaelan went and got dressed, putting her hair up as well. She was known to some people as odd, but she drew a crowd anytime she played.

Once she was ready she put her sabers on her belt and grabbed her violin and a cloak. She put the cloak around her shoulders as she then went out and got a spot. Once she got to her favorite spot, she set up, got warmed up, stretched and then she started playing and soon she began to dance. This was one of her most favorite songs when she played. It was easy to dance to ad she generally had the crowd sucked in by the first song.

Kaelan sensed that there was something that was gong to happen today though that would give her a challenge. She scanned her crowd as she played and danced. Who was going to get in her way? Who knew about her that was gong to do something much different than what she had planned? The questions stood, but no one could be seen, but were sensed.

Alas something momentous was happening on Coruscant today. She was sitting in her rocking chair back on Kashena, enjoying a craft beer and watching the flames dance in her hearth. A musical note burst from the flames, stirring the air in her dark sweet scented little hovel. Her ears perked up, and she grabbed her Violin from the nearby table.

She tapped her foot and began to play a tune.
"Who's this I wonder
Who plays a tune
Who's this I wonder
Will I meet them soon?"

As if in answer the force replied with a flicker of the flames. A city scape she recognized materialized and vanished. She set down the violin, slammed the beer and then threw a handful of Alchemical bark into the flames. They roared to a brilliant green. She played another tune, one she'd used often, and sang a verse.

"Take me there, take me there
Anywhere away from here.
Take me there, take me there,
C'mon Darlin have no fear."

A rift tore in the galaxy, opened by ancient bardic magic’s. She shouldered a small pack, clipped on her belt and slipped through into the flames.

And then materialized near the other woman's performance.

"Ahhhh so it is there is another?"

Her soul was much darker than her fellow players. As the crowd parted around her she came up slow, clad in an all black cloak and then nodded. Her violin went to her cheek and the two faced off. She recognized the girls song, and pulled a variation from one of the Bardic Colleges many books to her mind.

The bow set to the strings and she began to play. The strings came to life, fire wreathing the bow, and encasing the violin...

The tune sounded like this....

Marcus was enjoying a lovely walk in his old stomping grounds. It had been a while since he had walked these streets. Wearing a nice suit he enjoyed the sun and warm air. Life above ground in the city was a stark contrast to being in the bowels of the lower levels.

As he walked a rather pleasant sound drifted towards his ears. He turned towards the sound humming softly to himself. It was a rather pleasant tune to be sure. As he got closer however he managed to pick up a second tune coming from the same area. It caused him to pick up his pace a little bit.

When he finally arrived he was pleasantly surprised to see two ladies engaged in a bit of competition. A small crowd and begun to gather. A crowd that Marcus forced his way through. Once he got to the front one hand moved up to his chin scratching it absently as he listened. His left foot doing a light tap to the music.

One performer dancing while she played. The other seeming to lean more towards visual effects as she played. The true question being of course who was the better performer.

Kaelan knew something was happening soon.. for some reason it almost felt like a Snow White and the Seven Dwarves deal. She could sense as if she were being spied on. Deciding to not pay attention to it in the mean time, Kaelan continued playing her song until she felt a ripple in the force. As if someone had ripped right through it and traveled a great deal through the galaxy without much effort. The teenagers stopped playing as she did one more spin to see the crowd parting to reveal what she sensed. This lady was a beacon of dark magic and it seemed to come off of her in waves.

The woman set up and gave Kaelan a nod sending chills up her spine. So this was to be a competition? So be it.. She prepared herself allowing her to play her song as Kaelan's violin piped up and she started a complicated upbeat song and dance. She had a whole list to go through and so far by the other woman's first song it didn't seem like she would maybe know Kaelan's songs. She transitioned from one song to the next. It wasn't too difficult, improvising always did her well.

Another force signature could be sensed coming into the area. Not another musician wanting to compete was it? For her own sake and sanity, Kaelan hoped not. One was going to be good enough. As she spun her eyes locked with a man immediately while she played. He seemed to be the one who had more recently been interested in their little standoff since the other woman teleported herself here.

As her competition went into another song, she smirked and then nodded.

Her music was light and sweet, a contrast to the darker womans tunes. She preferred the more heartfelt things that stirred the soul and dug deep into emotions. Something that threw of the lighter leaning Jedi folk.

She conjured up another one, and set her bow akimbo once more over the strings. this time allowing the fire to hsape and arc off her violin into a blistering Phoenix that rose up behind her and breathed fire towards the other player as she played.

The force flames raced for her.
Bet she wasn't expecting that.

She grinned as the song continued sounding like this...

Marcus continued to watch the performers. One seemed to focus on him specifically while the other one focused on her opponent. One continuing to go the route of music and dance the other upping the ante in the special effects department.

Both it seemed playing to their own strengths. Marcus couldn't help but wonder how the rest of the crowd felt. He turned facing the crowd looking into their eyes as the show continued. He made a complete circle judging the reaction of every onlooker he could manage eye contact with. He saw the usually reactions until the flames began to arc and race. A move that caused more than a few onlookers to scatter. Marcus shook his head turning to watch the show not the least bit worried about the flames. He was more interested in how the dancer would react to them.

Kaelen had continued playing, spinning and leaping to her own music before she then finished the song, going onto watch what the other woman would do, she stuck to darker and more orchestration all music than Kaelan did.

Kaelan looked next to see a wall of flames heading her way. People screamed and scattered, but a beacon of light stood confidently as she spun her bow and brought it across the strings going into her next song, now using music as a weapon. As Kaelan drug her bow across the strings of her instrument, her foot stomped onto the ground creating an icy snowflake pattern under her foot.

When she looked back to the woman an ice blue color shown in the young performer's eyes as they started to glow with confidence. Another dance and another melody started as a song rang out above the other that she had heard once and learned it could control dark and evil forces of magic.
