SPECIAL FEATURES

Mini-Factory: The central hub of The Desert Palace is the factory, a large modular room capable of being fitted into a variety of automated factories. Should that be an assembly line for droids, a deconstruction line to take apart, categorize, and store scrap, or the mass production of armor paneling or other parts needed to repair The Desert Palace.

Landing Pads: Several landing pads are built on top of the crawler, each capable of docking shuttles for either population, scrap, or goods transportation.

Extensive Living Quarters: The Desert Palace is effectively a massive sand crawler, and thus needs to house all of Mint's clan and those clans which have been absorbed into his. Parts of The Desert Palace are far more compact, with shorter hallways only designed for its Jawa inhabitants away from the larger more open spaces available to the public. This allows for many more hallways and rooms that would not necessarily be able to fit if "regular" sized. Many of these rooms are housing, small simple rooms meant for an individual, with a few hundred rooms designed for family units. Others are small hubs for the Jawas to get together, relax, and enjoy each others company.

Moisture Farmer: A large spire sticks out the top of The Desert Palace, this is used to collect moisture in the air away from the dry sandy ground, as well as base elements in the air it uses to turn into water. This moisture is collected into giant vats, that pump sweet sweet water throughout the machine. This water is used for everything from cooling mechanical parts to bathing, a luxary most Jawa clans have no access to.

Speeder Hangar: The bottom of The Desert Palace is able to store many speeders, which can be lowered down using elevator platforms or pullies. These speeders are often used to scout ahead for good scrap piles.

The Luxury Suite: Mint has his very own suite, with some of the few front facing windows, located near the top of the crawler. This suite has luxurious living quarters, a small museum for him to store curios he finds interesting, a vault for his extensive wealth or doohickeys, and a large bath just for him.

Strengths:

All a Jawa Could Ask For: The Desert Palace is the ultimate sand crawler, fitted with everything a Jawa could ever need.

Weaknesses:

Big, Slow, and Kinda Dumb: Sure it's the ultimate sand crawler, but no vehicle was ever meant to be this massive, especially when it was just cobbled together from scrap. It's slow, difficult to maneuver, and is constantly threatening to break down.

DESCRIPTION

The Desert Palace is by far the largest sand crawler on Tattooine. Its massive bulk carries the entirety of Mint's clan, as well as a dozen other clans who have been absorbed into its massive hulk along with their sand crawlers and stock of droids. Many point out that the thing is impractical, but what little functionality it has has seen Mint's clan rise to the top of the Jawa hierarchy.
