OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION

Intent: To create a personal vessel for Delila Castillon using the Castillon Class Transport.
Image Source: “Little Brother” by LordDoomhammer
Canon Link: N/A
Restricted Missions: N/A
Primary Source: Castillon Class Transport

PRODUCTION INFORMATION
Manufacturer: Outer Rim Coalition
Model: Castillon Stealth Transport
Affiliation: Delila Castillon
Production: Unique
Material: Titanium, duraplast, starship-grade glass viewports

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
Classification: Freighter
Length: 45m
Width: 20m
Height: 8m
Armament: Average

 • Quad laser turret (1 dorsal, 1 ventral)

 • Flex-tube warhead launchers (2)

Defenses: Moderate
Squadron Count: N/A
Maneuverability Rating: Average
Speed Rating: Average
Hyperdrive Class: 1.5

SPECIAL FEATURES

 • Non-magnetic hull

 • Hibridium cloaking device

 • Passive sensor periscope with tightbeam comms and Directed Energy Receptors

 • Gravitic modulator

 • Thrust trace dampers

 • Advanced inertial navigation system

 • Peregrine field disruptor (must decloak to use)

 • Advanced deflector shield generators
Strengths:
-Hibridium cloaks allow the Crimson Dahlia to fire while while cloaked. However sensors and various aiming gadgetry will not work while the vessel is actively cloaking. One is basically shooting ‘blind’.

-Invisible to magnetic sensors

-The Peregrine field disruptor allows the Castillon to fly through shields, useful for flying into enemy hangars. However one cannot use this feature while the vessel is cloaked.

Weaknesses:

-While the ship is cloaked the pilot is flying blind. No sensors. No visual arrays. Just guts and a steady hand.

-Cannot be cloaked entering or exiting hyperspace. Trying to sneak up on someone at a close distance will be tricky if any enemy vessel is paying attention to their reversion sensors, approach sensors, radar, etc.

-There are delays on the periscope system. Anyone trying to use it far away from their intended target will only get a general idea of traffic in the area. Not specific in the slightest nor accurate.

-Weapons won’t do well against a well armed fleet, pirates or a vessel who went heavy on guns and skipped the stealth. The Crimson Dahlia wouldn’t fare well in a space battle for a long period of time and would be toast against anything larger than a freighter. Best to ‘hit and run’ in most situations the vessel will face itself in.

DESCRIPTION

Delila received a custom Castillon Class Freighter from [member="Jorus Merrill"] as a gift. While her old friend kept the stealth nature of the Castillon Class there were several personal modifications to the Crimson Dahlia to allow for comfort and a future mercenary business.Outfitted with several cabins, weapons and munitions storage, along with supplies for long haul flying it is a true combination of home and business office. The vessel is meant more for sneaking behind enemy lines than for real fighting, which is probably for the best given Delila’s so-so piloting skills.
Scrapping the original bare metal color, the Crimson Dahlia is painted a bright shade of red, drawing attention to what is a stealth vessel. The Crimson Dahlia is named after a nickname Delila received from [member="Elliot Locke"] .
