Intent: To create a powerful gun to carry for Dead Eye
Development Thread: N/A
Manufacturer: [member="Damien Daemon"]
Model: The Colt
Affiliation: Doc-Wyatt '[member=Dead Eye]' Holliday
Modularity: Bullets
Production: Unique
Material: Treated Steel | Imbued Uller Bone

Classification: Hand Cannon
Size: Handheld
Length: 38.1 cm
Weight: 1 kg
Ammunition Type: Slugs | Shells
Ammunition Capacity: 6 Single Shots
Effective Range: 85 m
Rate of Fire: Single
Special Features: Minimal Recoil (Uller Bone)

Strengths:

  • [ Huh, No Backlash ] ~ Thanks to the mainstead ingredient in the number one sold item of Merr-Sonn, Alchemized Uller Bone, these beauties suffer minimal kickback - about the same as a 9mm pistol

  • [ Damn, That's Light... ] ~ The Colt is made from an incredibly lightweight alloy, which is then made even lighter with additional alterations

  • [ Well, That's a Big Hole ] ~ Huge bullets, son (.500/.75 cal/etc)

Weaknesses:

  • [ Uh Oh, Bad News ] ~ This set has molecularly neutral imbued Uller Bone which inside of any form of Force nullifying zone causes it to basically become unusable; the effect fades, and each bullet fired is much to powerful

  • [ Six? That's it? ] ~ This gun carry packs few rounds, so missed shots are dangerous to a deadly degree

  • [ One Shot, Two Shot ] ~ The Colt is a single shot, hammer drawn revolver, while it deals deadly damage it is not the fastest. Miss, and you get the chance to retaliate much swifter

Description: The Colt was specifically crafted by Damien Daemon, to match his previous masterworks, Lust & Sin the dual Hand Cannons. However it was crafted after much has changed for his company, his own knowledge, and his charity toward others. Thus it is a perfection of the previous, being incredibly light weight, hardly a few pounds, and able to fire just as large of rounds. How did he do that you may ask?

Starting with the ideals of needing a more useful material to have The Colt made of, possessing similarities between MerrSteel and MerrTitan, Damien decided to go with a new route all together. Firstly he would set about starting at base processes, those already known to make materials stronger. Titanium, as it is one of the easiest, and despite it all, one of the cheapest, to manipulate, was chosen as a base for the material that would be used. Additions were added though, high levels of chromium, with additions of Iron as well as heavy amounts of Tungsten. Basically a massively durable steel bearing hardly any flexibility, therefore heavy by even the smallest standards.

The additions of Chromium makes the material denser against scratching and slashing damages, while with addition of Tungsten also adds a tensile strength greatly passing Durasteel, Ostrine was added toward the means of heavy heat absorption.

After properly allowing the separate minerals a chance to combine on proper levels, yet while still malleable and moldable, the next process begins. The new alloy was put through two massive rolling pins, through which they thin the metal until it is less than two millimeters. Via each of the pins moving on different speeds, they force fused large grains to break back down into smaller grains. Afterwards moderate heating is added to force bonding between smaller crystals. This results in overlaying of small crystals around large crystals, making the resulting metal heavily more durable because the surrounding layer of small grains makes it difficult for the large grains to deform, while applying flexibility and weight similar to the weakest yet most bend worthy steels.

After is a step finding Damien electroplating carbon nanoparticles with a salt of MerrSteel. This in and itself makes a damned decent Steel, lightweight as all hell, now more durable than already noted. However this was jot the final step, no this was inevitably turned to making nanotubing that would go together to make a micro-lattice that was basically hollow between the tubing. Imagine a massive building - there are support columns that hold the next floor above up, then add a thousand billion more columns, then condense it down to a micro size.

Before it all settled however, the Colt was also treated with Neutral Alchemised Uller Bone, resulting in the largest of rounds having little more kick back then what is found from a 9mm bullet.

Primary Source:

  • MerrTitan (This one contains all the explanations of what is being done to the steel, beside the crystal forming/breaking (micro lattice, electroplating etc))

Nope. As a a matter of fact its a fun tidbit I have that acts as a counter. Should i , say, roll a die and it has a low number then there is a chance for no firing, it going way awry etc.

Edit: If you like I can remove it. Its simply a fun little addition that makes the game interesting
