ADVANCED SYSTEMS

Sensory package: The ship has more sensors than typical for its ranking. More capable of spotting ships from a distance, using the sensors and cameras to spot details of far terrain, and magnetic sensors to help pick up on hidden starships.
Comms Jammer: In order to stop targets from calling for help a communications jammer was added.
Individual_field_disruptor modification technology was added for the ship. Using multiple additions within the ship in order to help create a disruptor that will allow the ship to pass through most defensive energy shields. Though this requires additional energy, and stress, the longer it goes through the shields. Additionally the disruptor can cause jolts to those that attempt to come into contact with the ship, making it a good defense mechanism when holding up inside.
Heavy duty engines: The engines were heavily upgrade to allow the ship greater speed, but especially to permit it to pull itself out of tractor beams to avoid capture.
Exterior alteration: The ship has compartments fit to alter the coloring of the ship with a cheaper layer. This is mainly used for when the ship needs to be hidden. The layer doesn’t usually last long when in use however and often can even become damaged during flight.

Strengths :

  • Multi-purpose weaponry allows the ship to take on a variety of enemies.

  • Designed for bounty hunters with extra sensors, comm jammers, and a disruptor to get past shields and keep off pests
  • Heavy duty engines permit the ship greater speed and to escape tractor beams while existing design continues to provide agility.
  • Can be used to carry a small team or prisoners.
Weaknesses :

  • Disruptor can over-stress its generator and fail, or even cause damage, if the ship spends too much time passing through a strong shield.
  • Comms Jammer jams all communication systems, making it a poor choice when with allied forces.
  • Exterior alteration is temporary and easily comes off. It does not provide protection against most systems designed to detect ships and mainly only hides the ship from animals and distanced or obscured visual appearances.
  • In order for the disruptor systems to work, the pods systems had to be permanently attached limiting his ability to have more variety in weapons.
Description :
The Challenger, named after a title chosen by Rocho during a particularly unusual interaction with a race of hunters of an insect race, is an altered mki-enforcer-multipurpose-fighter-transport from his days as a Fel Imperial Knight which has been upgraded in some fashions to his necessities as a bounty hunter. The ship provides him considerable amounts of speed and variability when in combat, and some of its functions were specifically made for hunting down individual targets, or for his own escape. The field disruptor system was meant primarily for getting in or out of planetary shields when he was discovered or needed to hunt down someone without waiting to find a way past. While the comms jammer was made especially in mind with difficult targets who had allies that shouldn’t be warned. There were faults with such systems as well, as the disruptor could fail or even damage the ship if it was put under too much stress, and the comms jammer would shut down any comms not just the target. The Challenger, while fast, is not as powerful as one might expect from something equipped for a fighter as aggressive as Rocho. This is mostly due to that the Trandoshan commonly does his work on the ground, and not as a pilot so necessity was the ship to get him where he needed to be, not do the job for him. The ship can carry 3 passengers, and the cargo bay can be used for the purpose of storing prisoners. Either in mobile cells or in carbonite as the case may require. Though bringing a speeder would take up proportionally a good bit more room than in another ship.
